We went a little bit after lunch crowd. Music was loud at times and couldn't hear the person across the table. Food came fast and we constantly got cold water to the table. Dog friendly and they brought water over for Nova. Please note they requested a card to create a tab even on food. However you can pay up front and then they don't have to hold onto your card.

UNDERWATER NEON ODYSSEY... The largest club located in the center of the Fort Lauderdale Strip with blasting music heard from a block away with an intense neon glow coming from within. Large outside seating area packed with patrons eating, drinking and some smoking hookah from large glass genie bottles. Small outside bar with a red balloon rapidly moving in front of the hostess desk hoping to draw attention to passerbyers. Of course we couldnt resist and walked inside. An amazing visual of an underwater neon odyssey. Gigantic multi colored balloons everywhere even the ceiling - check out the video and pics. Multiple bars throughout and not busy inside as it was a Tuesday night. This place would probably be jammed with college age kids on the weekends. The bartender explained the flavored tobacco hookah prices which were steep at $50.00 $100.00 - but these are popular and saw people smoking them inside and outside. My wife started dancing on the empty dance floor to the electronic dance music (EDM) as she sipped her drink. Two people were playing digital darts and next to that was two Street Basketball machines. We shoved a dollar inside the slot and threw ball after ball into a hoop hoping to beat the high score. Sweaty and exhausted now after a dismal score it was time to give up. The mens bathroom was average clean but the womens bathroom was so unkept, the wife walked in and immediately walked out then gave me the Yuch look. The door was hinged wide open and I could see rolled up toilet paper sprawled on the floor. Not sure how employees dont see this as they walk by. Well, she did not want to eat here.

I was set on giving this place 2 stars. And then I went to the bathroom. It was actually clean. But the soap was in this huge jug that is industrial. I had to spill it on my hands. It was strong. They could just spend $2 on Softsoap and that would be a huge improvement. I did not want to come here. I really did not. This is one of those scammy places that has a whopping $49 drink with cheap liquor in it. But wait. It is Buy one get one free. He wanted to come here because of some nostalgia. Ugh. Anyway. I ordered the Mai Tai which is liquid. He ordered a Miami Vice that is frozen. I would say mine was not good. His wasn't either but tasted better than the Mai Tai. Neither of us drank much. We ordered potato skins. They served them with warm sour cream. It also had large leaves of lettuce. I have never had lettuce served to me with potato skins. Ever. Our server was nice. The last annoying thing about this place is they took his credit card right away and he did not get it back until the end. I guess they have issues with people eating and leaving without paying?

Found this bar walking along the beach and decided to drop by. We sat outside instead of inside. The table top was cleaned but underneath there were loads of chewed gum. I'd recommend they pay better attention to fries details. The inside had pretty cool decor and a DJ. Our initial hookah was horrible but we were able to get it fixed. We ordered the shrimp kabob meal. Overall it was good but the shrimp was overcooked. Keep in mind, they do charge an 18% gratuity charge in which I didn't notice until after applying an additional tip and looking at my final bill. Overall, the place was okay.

While in Ft. Lauderdale we want to Rock Bar twice: Wednesday for Latin night and Thursday for Ladies Night. Latin night was super fun. The dj was great and played an excellent variety of music. Ladies night was frustrating. As a girl, you get free drinks until 11, but some bartenders refuse to serve you. I don't mind waiting for you to finish you paying costumers orders first but to deny me a drink is crazy. Other than that, the big drink deal is great, but most restaurants on that block have the same promotion. The atmosphere was really fun too. I think if you come on a night where it's more full and the dj is good, you'll have a good time.

Weird experience as soon as we walked up to the hostess. Granted, she had her back turned and was walking away toward the bar, where she went to drink some water. However, when she turned around and saw myself and friend standing there, she didn't inch toward us or anything. We just stood there and watch her attempt to finish drinking the entire bottle. The bouncer, then physically nudged her shoulder to go and greet us. SHE STILL STOOD IN PLACE. He then nudged her shoulder again, then she came and greeted us. Maybe she should keep bottled water at her hostess station and wouldn't have to desert her post. Before we even placed an order, we had to give a card to the server to ensure we didn't dine and ditch. The food and service was awesome. I expected the bang bang shrimp to be the bigger shrimp, not the frozen package shrimp, but it was still good. I love the snapper and the veggies it came with. Nice ambiance, of course, it's on beach. Would I comeback? ...I haven't decided yet because that hostess was not welcoming.

Found this restaurant walking by beach and I Immediately notice the great vibes and sounds from their DJ. The bartender/waiter we had was so cool, and he recommended some great dishes that we loved!! They are known for their huge margaritas that we definitely couldn't finish lol. I recommend this place for nice vibes, good music and awesome food..

This place is huge. There are so many different bars including one in the back where there is a full size pool. Food was good, got chicken tenders and fries which was tasty and decently priced compared to most of the places on the beach. Our server was very attentive and we enjoyed our visit.

Located in beautiful S. Fort Lauderdale; the Rock bar sits along Beach Blvd. with a lovely beach view. Rock bar offers great vibes, music, hookah and the jerk wings were amazing! Enjoy the option to dine indoors or out. Warning: the jumbo margaritas are not to be played with! It took me a complete day to recover from the 2 for 1 margaritas the following day. Above all great time and the service was 2 thumbs up.

Don't really have much to say about the rock bar, I had a IPA (can't go wrong with craft beer lol) , I also had some chicken nachos, the nachos were okay, loved the outside seating so that you can enjoy the weather and people watching

Ask the Community - Rock Bar

Can children come during the day time?

Yes it's family friendly

How old do you have to be to order a hookah? 18+ or 21+?

21+

How much do the hookah range in price?

54 dollars total rip off

Does anyone know how much the giant margaritas are and are they worth it?

They advertise 2 for one but its like $33 , absolutely not worth it !! The worst service ever and Im in the business !!

Is it 18+?

21+ It's a bar...

Do they card for drinks?

They often card for food too -- if you are Black.

Are children able to come there?

Yes!

Do they have an age restriction?

There doesn't seem to be one for the restaurant part...obviously they enforce 21+ to drink. I wouldn't bring kids after a certain time because it does become more of a bar/club than restaurant.

We had amazing dinner dates there, on a few occasions while we were still just dating, and I'll never forget those nights thanks to the Restaurant being so perfect! lol For reference we are a couple in our late 20's/30's) & we don't work for or know anyone affiliated with the restaurant...We just really love it lol Review: The views and vibes and just the entire atmosphere was everything! I highly recommend getting a table outside near the water if one is available. It's such a calmer and more romantic yet fun and beautiful experience when you're seated at the tables near the water. The location of them are perfect for date nights or special occasions!! Especially when you go during sunset! Overall it's just a place with a long wait and is a very enjoyable delicious time. The wait is so worth it! (They don't take reservations) The place had a bunch of great relaxing yet lively yet romantic type of vibes and you're surrounded by happy people- including the employees (atleast it seems so) and THE FOOD is just. I don't have the words. I mean, basically everything we've ever ordered at this restaurant has had us in shock after taking the first bites. Like even down to the French fries being yum! The lobster siracha mac and cheese (not sure what it's called on menu) is just my favorite and I crave it everyday if my life including right now as I write this Great staff also. Pricier than a typical restaurant but worth it because it's not a typical restaurant and it's not typical-tasting food.

It's very busy and loud there, though, if you are eating indoors at the bar like I was. The bartenders and barbacks are very busy. The restaurant is known for something called "Scoobies" which per Google Gemini are "crab claws (traditionally blue crab or snow crab) that have been partially de-shelled--leaving just the "pincher" as a handle--and sautéed in a rich sauce of garlic, butter, and olive oil with crushed red pepper and scallions." I didn't get the Scoobies because I was apprehensive about how difficult they would be to eat. My dishes were fried oysters, fish tacos, and coconut shrimp platter. They were all fine, but unremarkable. The platter comes with fries and cole slaw as listed, but when I said to the bartender that I didn't need cole slaw, just extra fries, he offered/clarified that I could substitute another side instead, so I went with broccoli. I did notice that there were many flies flying around when my shrimp platter came out. One of the other bartenders put out a plate of hot sauce to repel the flies, which helped. The place is famous and sells its own merchandise like shirts and hats. It is not located near other restaurants, and you'll have to walk fifteen minutes or get an Uber if you are discouraged by the waiting time. The people dining here look like they are pretty well off and are able to enjoy life.

I visited again for the anniversary party and was shocked how many people were there! It was great to see and the energy was off the charts. They had an anniversary drink special which was nice as well as a ton of pop up bars and electric music from a dj. It felt like an EDM concert but free to attend which I was incredible. The beat was so good that it made everyone dance throughout the boat. I have to say that they definitely know how to run a party. I'm not sure if every Saturday night is that busy or if it was due to the anniversary party but I will have to visit again soon to see. The entire marina village was decorated so nicely and had people throughout so it felt alive.
