In the summertime they have a pool and a playground area for the kids. There is also an off the leash dog Park.

Check in for this place was very easy. They do close early during the weekdays. I think they close at 6 PM or maybe it's 5 PM. If you are planning to be after that time, be sure to call them and notify them so that they can have your after hour packet ready for you. I arrived after hours and it was very easy to find Packet and my campsite. They had the map and my information sheet that explains bathrooms and other things for me. I talk to them in the morning when we checked out and it was very smooth transition. The bathrooms are clean and we are able to take showers in the morning. The individual campsites have water and electricity hook ups, which was really nice. It's a small campsite. it's in a small town neighborhood type environment though. So if you were looking to get the whole out in nature experience, this is probably not for you. It was a nice place to crash for the night since we were heading to do a cave tour at mystery caves the next day.

My husband booked our site online and noted that we would be arriving late. When we arrive at 7:50pm ( they close at 8pm) the check in gal promptly started in chewing me out that the phone number listed on the account is not valid and she had tried calling and texting to see when we would be arriving. She said she even sent emails, which I did not receive. I asked if there is a problem with our reservation. There wasn't but she felt the need to chew my butt for a good 5 minutes. Then she belittled me because we stopped at the office rather than at the "big rigs stop here " sign. We are in a 1 ton dually pulling a 36 ft 5th wheel... no biggie , we just had to pull onto the road and back up so we could get behind the office to the sites back there. My girls showered in the shower house next to the office. They said it wasn't very clean. We were finally able to log into the internet in the morning, despite being right next to the office. We never were able to open emails or connect to any site so it was a waste of time even trying to logging in. We tried hooking up to the cable ( since we were at a "full service site") and were not able to get any channels. It wasn't our cable or camper because we used the cable the night before. We did get a few channels with the antenna though. We didn't use the pool but it looked nice. The playground was older and needed some minor upkeep but was overall good. The dog park was cleaned and needed trash removed but no biggie. We didn't have a campfire but I was told you can't bring wood in * Notes- there is nothing in this small town. If you need any supplies you will need to drive the 10-15 miles to Rochester or the other town to the S.

The kids found a cute little furry friend by one of the nice Kabins they have here!

Staff/owners are super nice. Site was level & had a lot of grass. Kids loved swinging on the tree swings. We would definitely come back.

On the last day of Winter I checked out this park after seeing a small sign on the highway. The…read morearea seems to meet all the basics without a fancy playground or attention natural beauty. There is a large office and spacious grounds with a sign to a nature trail. The specialty seems to be overnight camping. Although removed enough from the main highway, many Yelpers complain of all night train noise. The tracks along Hwy 61 are among the busiest in the state. There is a large parking lot and no charge to enter the park. I'm not a tree-hugger nor a fan of tearing them all down. This park has a wide area of close cut grass with no foliage what so ever in the main area. What purpose does crew cut grass serve when there is not a shade tree in site?

Initially we were heading to Welch Village to go tubing down the cannon river, but decided not to follow the bus load into the entrance. Found this place. Great little beach area on Lake Pepin. Favorable restrooms and changing area. Little carts available to use to bring all the beach gear. Comes in handy for all the people who decide to colonize on their own little piece of the beach. Very clean picnic areas, people are friendly and there is a free air pump to blow up all the inflatable water toys. As nice as it is up north, it's nice down south too.

We thought it was great little getaway. I would give 4.5 cause you can't be perfect. Only thing I…read moredint like was the store closes early and no food during week. But there's a reason like not enough business to do it. Been nice to if had pizza corner pizzas to sell. Staff was nice no issues at all and I had a couple problems to deal with. We arrived yesterday and the staff has been nothing but rude. I went down to the front desk this morning becuase I had put on my wrist band yesterday when we arrived way too tight. So I wait in line for 10 mins While said front desk staff rudely handle a phone call. I proceeded to tell him I put my bracelet on to tight for my comfort he then decided to embarrass me in front of all other costumers about how I'm trying to steal and give my bracelet to someone else and how could I think that was to tight. mind you I need this bracelet tell Wednesday when we check out. I let him cut the original off of my wrist. Very disappointed in this campground my group of 15 that booked two cabins and a campsite will not be spending our money here again. Pool hours are also horrible. 10:30 on a Monday pool still isn't open.
