Fabulous experience!! My 9 year old had a great time, as did my husband. The park is wonderful, the bathrooms are very clean and well stocked and the campsite was immaculate! Our host, Louisa was super knowledgeable and friendly. She was very informative and kind, also funny. Barb and Roger were also very kind to us. We have often used this KOA as a home base when we're in the area visiting family in Minnesota and Iowa. After this stay we will not be returning. Barb in the office - an office that reeks of cat piss - had an attitude about everything. Nothing warm or friendly about her. She has the nerve to sell less than 6 pieces of firewood for $9 and then lecture us when we buy from someone else down the road. Buying firewood outside the campground is not prohibited and we still make sure to get it in the state that we're in. I had to cancel our other reservation for next week due to a sick relative and she charged us $20. We travel in our RV full time and stay at a lot of KOAs and have never been charged when our plans change. The pool is decent but has no bathhouse conveniently located so you just know it's not the cleanest pool out there. read more

I called in for a reservation and the lady on duty was very helpful. She assured me that I would have a spot available even though I was running a little late. The park was pretty cool. I bet it's nice in the summer time. Decent camp store and pretty well maintained. I'd definitely stay here again if I get back this way. read more

Check in for this place was very easy. They do close early during the weekdays. I think they close at 6 PM or maybe it's 5 PM. If you are planning to be after that time, be sure to call them and notify them so that they can have your after hour packet ready for you. I arrived after hours and it was very easy to find Packet and my campsite. They had the map and my information sheet that explains bathrooms and other things for me. I talk to them in the morning when we checked out and it was very smooth transition. The bathrooms are clean and we are able to take showers in the morning. The individual campsites have water and electricity hook ups, which was really nice. It's a small campsite. it's in a small town neighborhood type environment though. So if you were looking to get the whole out in nature experience, this is probably not for you. It was a nice place to crash for the night since we were heading to do a cave tour at mystery caves the next day. read more

This KOA was great! We were there for some Mayo visits, went to take about 10 days and ended up there a month. The grounds were well kept, and we had a spot up against the frisbee golf field so it was quiet, the people were kind, and the place very clean. read more

My husband booked our site online and noted that we would be arriving late. When we arrive at 7:50pm ( they close at 8pm) the check in gal promptly started in chewing me out that the phone number listed on the account is not valid and she had tried calling and texting to see when we would be arriving. She said she even sent emails, which I did not receive. I asked if there is a problem with our reservation. There wasn't but she felt the need to chew my butt for a good 5 minutes. Then she belittled me because we stopped at the office rather than at the "big rigs stop here " sign. We are in a 1 ton dually pulling a 36 ft 5th wheel... no biggie , we just had to pull onto the road and back up so we could get behind the office to the sites back there. My girls showered in the shower house next to the office. They said it wasn't very clean. We were finally able to log into the internet in the morning, despite being right next to the office. We never were able to open emails or connect to any site so it was a waste of time even trying to logging in. We tried hooking up to the cable ( since we were at a "full service site") and were not able to get any channels. It wasn't our cable or camper because we used the cable the night before. We did get a few channels with the antenna though. We didn't use the pool but it looked nice. The playground was older and needed some minor upkeep but was overall good. The dog park was cleaned and needed trash removed but no biggie. We didn't have a campfire but I was told you can't bring wood in * Notes- there is nothing in this small town. The owner, Barb, worked very hard to get us into a long term spot and has treated us like family since we've been here. The pool is nice and clean and they even just put in an RC car track! The owners of this campground are incredibly rude..and have been for many years. I do not know why they would ever own a campground when they hate people. And kids and dogs. They will not let you bring in firewood but when we bought some it was just old boards. Bring your own and burn it after dark. The bathrooms have locks on them now. Impossible for little kids to run and go potty so we had to walk them over every single time.Who would want to use their bathroom other than campers?? read more

NOT BIG RIG FRIENDLY. Trees caught the top of our rig when we checked in, but we made it and they said they would trim them. It rained over night the site flooded with water, and the next day when leaving the trees damaged our rig. We struggled to get out of the campground and they never once offered to help. The management acted as if it were our fault and took no responsibility in maintaining the trees. My guess is they sell the walnuts and didn't want to lose any by trimming them. Unfortunately, now they will have an insurance claim because it. Nice place but I was very disappointed in the management and their lack customer service. Staff/owners are super nice. Site was level & had a lot of grass. Kids loved swinging on the tree swings. We would definitely come back.

The host was not even at the office when we came to register, and she told me all the water was already turned off. No price discount though. $41 per night WAY OVERPRICED! She complained about campers using AC and then heaters. Sites are paved, but not level. Restrooms are clean. There's no cable. Our site had no fire ring. And.... Don't believe the posted office hours, because they just lock the office, and leave. We couldn't even get coins for the laundry. The host made us feel like a HUGE BOTHER, for staying with them. If they don't want to do their job, find something else to do. We have lived at KOAs for many months. This was the rudest KOA host we've ever met! The only reason I can give this KOA one star, is it close to Hwy 90. Rude, rude, rude! read more

Koa camp was very clean and spacious lots with trees. Pool very nice. They have these huge boulder rocks on each corner which makes it very difficult turning. When we were leaving the person next to us never unhooked so their truck was out by street. We had to back out of our pull through site. Manager stood across the street talking and watching as we tried to get out without ever coming over. Also internet shows only 1 site left so when I called she had a different site for us. Met other people in park saying same thing and when you get there park is 1/2 empty..very strange. When I commented to office she said sarcastically she was full. We were there 3 days during a weekend and never full. read more

We have stayed at many KOA campgrounds before and loved them! They were nice to me and my family, my dogs and the other guests. This KOA is the opposite! The lady at the fount desk who if I recall right is the owner was extremely rude to me, my husband and my children! She yelled at us about ALL the rules and then handed us the rule book. The way the rules are written makes them sound very very harsh, which they are, they are incredibly strict to where you park, visitor parking and visitor payments and what you do at your campsite. Other than the awful owners and the harsh rules the campground is very cute! There is a nice pool ( not headed and if so not much) okay playground, and nice cites. Although they are kind of small for all the campers and there is a hookup for TV but you only get 4 channels. I hope you take this review into consideration. read more

Staff here is not friendly. Rare for a KOA. I have a family of five and pop up tent trailer. We are wheelhouse demographic for this sort of campsite and have been staying at KOAs throughout the country for years. My family was treated as if we were not welcome at this KOA, and although we like the Rochester area, we won't be staying here in the future. read more

This campground is run by a friendly couple who greet campers and show them to their spot. That also deliver wood, etc as needed. The restrooms are clean and well maintained as far as I can tell. We had a good stay there. read more

Where to start? 1. Much of the area across the street from the office is low and boggy. Sure Minnesota had a lot of rain but the problem here is poor drainage. 2. The dog run is as far from the sites as they could get it. Also in a boggy area, there seems to be a run off from the street between the sites and dog run. 3. The dog run is for big dogs, little dogs can easily slip under the fence in multiple places and get out. 4. Strategically placed, large rocks protect their fire pits and etc, the problem is they are so low you can not see them in your mirrors. 5. The WiFi does not have a log in to start, you need a browser to log in after the connection is made. This prevents you from using direct connect devices to go straight to Amazon video or Netflix. 6. The WiFi disconnects frequently so playing games on the internet is a problem, you often lose due to the disconnect. 7. "Cable" TV seems to be an antenna connection, in bad weather you lose the picture. 8. While this may be listed as the "Rochester" KOA, it is over 10 miles to the south, 9. Other than a gas station with a mini mart and the KOA office, there is no where to buy food in the immediate area. 10. This was in the fall so we had no bug problems but I think the spring and summer would be different due to the mentioned water issues. read more
