2026 Insurance changed & prior dentist changed insurance process and was "out-of-network" making future visits cost prohibitive. Locating an in-network dentist despite dental anxiety, HAD to happen. I called, asked a bunch of questions & wanted pre-visit to see office. Receptionist listed SO many days that were closed or not good, leaving only 1 day of week. That was my RED flag I ignored. I ended up making appointment without pre-visit. Date scheduled with 3 specific times for x-rays, consultation with Dr. Hackley & cleaning with Kelli for end of June. All paperwork completed online. I received texts & email confirmation days before. Walked in, no receptionist, tech, Dwayne was checking out his patient & greeted me. He said, Dr. Hackley is not here today, but we can still do diagnostics & cleaning. Dwayne took me back did x-rays, photos & intraoral scan. Xray machine/PC had issues, had to change rooms to complete. Everything made me feel emotionally & physically uncomfortable. Xray tabs are large & Dwayne didn't seem comfortable with process. Comments made about cleaning made me feel like I was an imposition & didn't have a cleaning appointment. Like, "I think we can do your cleaning"; "We should have time", "looks like you don't need a deep cleaning" UM, I had an appointment with the hygienist. Surprised I wasn't moved to another treatment room for cleaning. Kelli brought instruments to me and went back & forth a couple times somewhere else to retrieve different instruments. I have dental & medical background, cleaning was substandard, certain quadrants weren't even touched by the scaler and it took her 10 minutes, if that included polishing. Worst, I had to come back for consult w Dr H. I wasn't sure I would return, BUT decided I should, if just to let her know what happened during my visit. not happy inconvenienced twice especially with confirmed appointment & no notification she was not there. I realize a SINGLE DENTAL practitioner is NOT a good idea, especially when office personnel are not on the ball as in this office. Got home, tried their online chat to schedule, but told someone will call me back. Waited 2.5 days and NO ONE called. I called & got 2nd new patient appointment with Dr. H. Received texts, email & even night before phone call to confirm appointment. Text & email confirmed time as 10:40 as scheduled, but caller said 10:30? I questioned, why did all confirmations say 10:40? She agreed. I was on time, but 30 minute wait. She apologized, her hygienist did not show up today. WOW! Dr H is VERY nice & listens. A quick exam, no oral cancer exam nor x-ray review. Before she started to dismiss me, I mentioned I needed to tell her I was not returning, why & the experience at new patient appointment weeks prior. 1st, she was NOT there!! ONLY then she apologized & acted surprised. She admitted policy not to see anyone new without her present. Office Manager took notes. There's more than what I detailed here and I told her. I Requested x-rays in writing, she agreed. She graciously offered to personally re-do my cleaning at no charge as my concern is oral health and I cannot get another cleaning until 6 months. Technically don't feel I received a REAL cleaning, making it 13 months until my next covered cleaning somewhere. I decided & schedule cleaning with her on 8/6. I received email confirmation from them on 7/29 & confirmed. I arrived 8/6, office manager greets me and says "Dr. Hackley is out sick today". Manager said she tried email me to cancel on 7/23 & 7/24, which didn't make sense. Thought to myself, "how would you know 14 day prior that Dr H was going to be sick"? She said she tried calling, couldn't leave a voicemail, that is strange! Every # I have has voicemail ability. "What phone # did you call?" She gave me work #, mentioned tried text cell, but I opted-out. BUT you can CALL a cell phone! She said she didn't have any other phone #. What about my home phone, which they HAD, but she said she didn't. I was called before at home. Cinthia didn't type it as I told her # & she acknowledged, we have it. Anyway, I scheduled ANOTHER attempt to get my cleaning. I went back to work and checked phone records as all our calls are logged. NO incoming calls in last 2 weeks from non-work client. I called Cinthia to let her know & cancelled. There are TOO many issues with this practice and who knows what else you don't see. They made NO effort & wasted my time again! There's have an obvious administrative problem at minimum. When I mentioned my concern about a single practitioner office, Dr H said she was planning to bring someone else onboard because she is planning to pull back her hours. Hours are already limited! I was looking for a future long-term relationship, not one with a few years left. read more

I have come here since I was either a junior or senior in high school (i am 24 now), and I can honestly say that i feel like they are family. They have seen me smile through graduating high school, AND college. Not to get very sappy here, but I have always been insecure about my teeth. I had a stubborn gap between my two front teeth, 3 baby teeth (one that had to be pulled), and two very small teeth next to my two front teeth. When I was a sophomore in high school, I tried Smile Direct, elsewhere as it was the cheaper braces alternative, however, it did not do much for my teeth. Eventually being recalled. It was disheartening that it did not do much as it was not cheap and there was already not a large fund going towards my teeth. However, my mom found me this place and right away they have been so helpful and accomodating to get me the most affordable but beneficial plan for me. I will be REAL honest, I have not been the best patient. I would loose or forget to wear my invisalign which would set me back. Yet, they were still very accommodating. Invisalign straightened my teeth, yet, my gums move incredibly fast which causes my teeth to shift quickly (or something like that lol). With this being said, if I did not wear my retainers for even a few hours, my gap would start coming back. Dani, being as fantastic as she is, suggested I do composite bonding on my two front teeth. I had done composite bonding prior on the teeth next to my two front teeth, as they were incredibly small and not shifting properly. Composite bonding is a more affordable (and I think personally less invasive) comparison to veneers. I might be describing it totally wrong but its like a cap that goes on your real teeth, but they do not shave your teeth down. It was a very quick procedure, I am talking less than 40 minutes. Dr. Hackley did an amazing job with having it not hurt/having me feel totally comfortable (and i do not usually do well with pain). It was also hundreds, if not thousands less than veneers. I suggest checking out this option if your teeth are anything as stubborn as mine. I finally have a smile where I want to look at people when I talk to them. I had someone compliment my teeth the other day and say, "wow you must be so communicative since you obviously have had braces growing up", such a simple compliment but it meant so much. They will never try and push extra expenses, which is what I had experienced in other places in the past. I love them here, they truly treat their patients with so much love and I can tell the whole staff treats each other like family. read more

Our family has been coming to Dr. Hackley's practice for a few years now. Like other reviewers, we too were recommended to come here by our friends. For a change, the office staff is a pleasure to deal with - WIN! Making and adjusting appointments is easy. They also send out reminder emails/ texts/ calendar invites to better track appointments which is much appreciated. The office has been doing an awesome job during the COVID and post-COVID restrictions era. We feel safe coming here for the procedures. The tech team is very competent and good at their job too. Almost everything is great here except for the wait times! They have been going up for the past few months. Even during the COVID era, the time to see the doctor or a tech was within a few minutes. But recently, we have had to wait between 40-60 minutes for the procedure to begin. The work is done quickly and completely once it starts though. Checkout and follow up scheduling is easy and quick too. Still happy with this practice other than the longer than usual wait times! read more

I wish I could give a Big Fat Zero for the rating. I was mistreated by a dental technician who drilled my sore tooth when I needed tacky puddy for a temp filling. He was totally unprofessional and his attitude was less than stellar. I wasn't quite sure if he was new or just didn't care. I paid for a temporary filling ($60.00) but was given a pack of Flouride instead (the going rate was $2.10). I asked her for a refund but she refused. I ended up filing a complaint with my healthcare plan who offers dental. Although I never got reimbursed, I feel I had to let them know. I'd NEVER had such an unpleasant treatment in ALL my life. A good dentist/hygienist is hard to find. Since moving here in 12/2008, I've had three different dentists. For me, the third time was definitely the charm. Unlinke the previous reviewer, my experience at Dr. Hackley's was good. From the moment I stepped into the office, I felt very welcomed. The receptionist was very friendly, and told me what I needed to do since it was my first time here. In the middle of filling out my paperwork, I was called back. Sweet...no extra waiting! My hygienist was Meeta. She has been doing this for ten years, and you could tell she loves her job! I got my x-rays done (with protective cover on) in record time. Usually I gag a little when the films and gadgets get put in my mouth, but not this time. She did a thorough job on my cleaning. Meeta was even explained to me what she was doing at times, which was kinda cool. I met Dr. Hackely for a few when she came in to inspect my teeth after my cleaning was all finished. Nice lady! Apparently she does cleanings as well (hope she's as good as Meeta! I guess I'll find out six months from now, since she will be the one doing my cleaning). No one tried to sell anything to me (like the previous review from Adri M). Meeta did ask if I wanted a fluoride treatment though ($30 if not covered by insurance). She said it was recommended, but she wasn't pushy about it when I declined. I highly recommend coming here. Friendly staff. Good hygienist (ask for Meeta!). Clean, modern looking office. My experience with dentists who work for corporate practices is there is minimal customer service, so-so dentistry and focus on upcharging me for needless services or finding things wrong. I have been a patient at this practice for a few years now and have always had positive experiences. The hours are great - getting appointments at night (my last appointment was this week at 7pm) offers excellent flexibility. The office and waiting area is clean, the office clerks are very friendly and professional. Re another comment about selling: I've never been "sold" anything that wasn't normal, unless asking if you want fluoride is concerned about making money, and yes fluoride is good for you (never had a cavity). Dr Hackley's office diagnosed my teeth grinding a previous dentist failed to catch, fixed the fractures and pain in my teeth and got me situated with a night guard that has corrected the issue. They also have flexible payment options, as my insurance was minimal at the time. Having the financial counselor was actually helpful, as I needed to finance payments and she made sure I understood all the terms (I paid off the credit line before term, costing me only the minimal startup fee, no hidden catches). read more

I have been going to Dr. Hackley's office for over 10 years now. I used to enjoy going to the office but I feel it's not the same since the office moved from the white flint location. I feel like I am charged for extra services. And there is pressure to get extra services. They also used to be on time but now there is always a wait. Getting an appointment also requires almost months in advance. I decided to stop going here when I showed up after scheduling an appointment two months in advanced and they didn't even have me on the schedule. I planned my whole day around this appointment. Arrived 20 minutes early for appt, and was greeted. But after 40 minutes, 20 minutes after the appt time, I'd not been called into the chair, nor given any info about being late. When I approached, it appeared the receptionist was looking at FaceBook on her phone and didn't notice I was waiting to ask a question. Very grateful for Dr. Hackley's skill and expertise. She saved my broken tooth after other dentists wanted to go straight to an extraction and implant without a good faith effort to preserve it. Dr. Hackley, is my wife dentist. My wife called Dr. Hackley, to see if she could fit me in. My wife explained to Dr. Hackley, that I have a cracked wisdom tooth that's been keeping me and her up all night for the last week. Dr. Hackley, said sure I can see your husband. I went to Dr. Hackley Office, with so much pain and discomfort that I was out of my mind. I waited for Dr. Hackley, to see her scheduled patients first. My wife also was one of Dr. Hackley, scheduled patients as well. Dr. Hackley, secretary asked could she get me water I smiled at her and said thank but I don't think that would help. She smiled back and said we have a full body massage chair wood you like to try that I said sure. God know I was in so much pain. I laid in that massage chair and my world was rocked to sleep like a new born baby. If I could give Sarah, 5++++ stars on here I would. Sarah, saved the day with that message chair. My entire family LOVES Dr. Hackley's practice! We feel that we get individualized attention and excellent care. My husband had terrible teeth and, as a result, tremendous anxiety about seeing a dentist. Everyone at Dr. Hackley's went out of their way to be sure he was pain-free and clearly understood what was going to happen with every procedure. They were very patient in answering all of his questions and proceeded at a pace that was comfortable for him. No complaints here. I went in as scheduled for my Friday, 0700 appointment to find Dr. Hackley & staff totally prepared. Did she hurt me? No!!! She was very careful unlike some dentists that I swear will stretch your mouth to see if the corners will tear. Ouch!!! She has great gadgets & described what she was doing & I chuckled because the dental assistant always counted backwards from 10 to 1 letting me know how long I had to hold my mouth open in 1 position. Think twice before going here. I went for a routine cleaning two years ago. Prior to booking my appointment, I called to confirm that they took my insurance. When I checked in for my appointment, I confirmed again with the receptionist that my insurance was accepted. Both times they told me my insurance was accepted (both times they were given all of my insurance details including the card). After the appointment was over, they said my insurance was not accepted. At the time, I wasn't worried because the owner of the practice said she would waive the charges since it was her office's mistake. But now, it's been two years, and I have received four bills for the charges. I have called their office and billing department almost ten times (and left messages) but my phone calls are never returned. I just received ANOTHER bill for this in the mail today. This has never happened to me before and I'm​ astounded at the audacity​ of this place. It seems to me like they are engaged in seriously disingenuous and deceitful​ behavior that has the potential to damage the health of their patients. After I post this I'm going to review other options to report this practice to all available ethical, malpractice, and better business review boards. Perhaps that will stop them from such deceitful practices in the future. read more

Dr. Hackley is caring and competent -- defininately putting the patient first. Her team is fantastically efficient, and although Hackley is a martinet, her staff so fully respects her -- and she them -- that they do not mind but even enjoy her authoritarian manner. She seems to know what everyone is doing at all times and makes sure they do the best work possible. One detail gives a sense of how deeply Dr. Hackley cares about her patients. There is always someone in the room with you. So after she injects the anaesthetic into your gum, for example, it takes a while to "take" and Dr. Hackley of course moves on to treat another patient during those minutes. But she always arranges that someone, an assistant, stay will you to assure your comfort. She makes every minute count, because she has a very full schedule and a lot of division of labor. But she makes every patient count as well. read more

Worst dental I've ever been too! They rip you off. They said I needed a ton of work on my teeth, but I got two second opinions and both could find NOTHING wrong. I've never had a cavity in my life before going to Rochelle. Despite brushing twice a day, flossing, and mouthwash, each time I went my teeth someone had more cavities! I sat in that dentist's office crying after each visit! I felt hopeless. Luckily I went to a childhood dentist and a highly reviewed yelp dentist and both took X-rays and could find NOTHING wrong with my teeth. In fact, one of the dentists I went to had to correct the work Dr Hackley's office did. You've been warned. I probably had a number of unnecessary fillings. read more

The staff is very friendly, there was minimal wait time, and the facility is clean and great looking. However, the hygienist that was assigned to me, had no experience whatsoever and actually fussed when I insisted to get the protective cover while she took the x-rays. I am a female of childbearing age and that is just standard procedure! Her inexperience left some scratches on my mouth as she was trying to adjust all gadgets to take the x-rays. Worse than all that was the focus of the practice: money. From trying to sell you an automatic toothbrush to having a financial adviser that spent more time with me then hygienist and dentist combined, I felt that the focus of the visit was not me or my oral health but the money they could get from me. They do not listen to your concerns but only what they deem necessary. For instance, my priority is having healthy teeth and not get whitening treatments but they make it sound like you cannot have one without the other which is complete bogus. So for an evaluation, it took them 1hr30m (no teeth cleaning) but I still got charged anyway. If you value you mouth, your time and your sanity, do not waste your life here! read more

My experience with Dr Hackley and some of her staff was horrible ! In fact she did not do well to my teeth ! First the hygienist had to leave after finishing part of the cleaning and did not complete the polishing as she was running outta time and needed to leave but I never went back for the polishing because I don't trust them touching my teeth anymore ! I had to do 6 fillings , two of them were filled by the Indian dentist , she was the only professional one among all of them, she really did well but the rest were not even to my expectation ! The other assistant did not stop physically touching and it was something like harassing me . I tried to tell the nice dentist about him but could not as we never had a few mins alone to let her know ! Then Dr Hackley filled the last four teeth and that was horrible , I had to revisit 4 times to get the filling adjusted . I could not grind on them , were so annoying whenever grinding and still to this day . I will find another dentist to fix them, plus they charged my health insurance twice as I received a letter from the insurance and I realized that. I felt that all what they care about is the money ..... Zero star !!! read more

My experience was horrible. The shots DR, Hackley gave me were extremely painful and the cleaning was the most painful one I have ever had. They gave me fluoride treatment without telling me or mentioning it was an extra charge and I did not want it because it makes me sick and I was extremely nauseous afterwards. read more

Dr. Hackley and her clinic is by far the best Dental clinic I have been to. Not only the staff are very welcoming and always have a smile on their faces, the clinic itself has warm and comforting feeling to it. I used to hate going to see the dentist due to being traumatized when I was younger but when I started going here; I no fear going to the dentist and have been more excited for my dental cleanings and fixing what needs to be fixed.
