The decor is that of the old world tailor shops you might see in the movies or on Savile Row in London. Dominic is a master both in execution of his craft and offering style advice. Prices are very reasonable, whether it's just tailoring, custom shirts or creating a masterpiece of a custom suit! First time alteration customer. Almost fainted at $220 price for hemming and slight alteration of $498 dress. I should have left but I didn't so it's my fault. Here's the next part. I need to take it to someone else to fix the dress. Obviously never again. Use if you have deep pockets. read more

This review is only for alterations. I have not had any bespoke clothing made at Rocco's. I took a brand new dress (tags still on!) because the lining inside the dress needed some adjusting. I asked that they simply cut one corner of the lining off of the pleat in the back. Quite a simple fix, which in hindsight I probably could have done on my own. When I arrived to pick up the dress, the ENTIRE lining had been cut across at thigh level. This was not at all what we discussed and I was obviously not happy. They said they would fix it and asked if I could leave the dress for a few more days. When I returned to pick it up again, the old lining had be re-sewn back in which created a seam on the inside lining. In my opinion, this was not at all the right thing to do. The dress should have been re-lined. As I mentioned earlier in my post, this was a brand new dress! $800 tags still on it! read more

I've had custom made clothes since my first handmade suit just out of college. My father was a professional businessman and not a size that would work well off the retail rack. He took me to his tailor and I was hooked on fine fabrics and clothing. Over the years I have used many tailors. Dominic at Rocco's offers bolts of material right there on site. Most other tailors have just a five-inch square of material for the selection process. This may sound small, but it is a very big difference. From that point, it just gets better with top service, including a tailor on premise. The shirts fit perfectly as does the sports coats and slacks. I saw the comments about pricing, but Rocco's is a fine tailoring shop, not a simple seamstress shop. Dominic's father Rocco altered 4 leather sports coats for me and even with leather, they were perfect. read more

UPDATE: Back to FL and back to Rocco's, this time my husband brought in two button downs and a pair of dress pants. My husband is very particular about the way his stuff fits, it has to be European cut, slim everywhere and body hugging. He typically buys all designer clothes and even then needs to slim his pants and take the shirt in to accommodate his V shape. Tailors in Chicago just don't understand what he is looking for and we've been to and have spent thousands, only to be disappointed. We requested for Dominic to pin him and even though Dominic was on his way out to an appt, he stayed to do this, we really appreciated his time. He understood what my husband was looking for and pinned him perfectly. The clothes were tailored perfectly and we were so happy. We are planning another trip soon just to bring clothes in to Dominic, that's how good he is! I didn't have time to tailor a skirt in Chicago and needed a good tailor for my weekend in Miami. Since we were staying in Ft. Myers for a few days we decided to take a ride to Rocco's and see what could be done. Upon walking in I found the place to be very clean and bigger than I expected. I met Dominic and he was so nice from the beginning to the end. My skirt needed to be fitted to pencil status and I was told exactly what to expect and what it will end up looking like, after giving it some thought I said let's do it. Dominic pinned me and gave me the question mark silhouette I was looking for, I wanted the skirt very fitted but was concerned about it looking overly tailored. When I picked up my skirt it exceeded my expectations, it was awesome. The fit was perfect and so custom looking. I am so happy with the work completed by Rocco's Tailor Shop. Based on prior reviews, I drove out of my way to go to Rocco's. I had a pair of slacks hemmed that I needed for a business trip. They took 10 days to do the alteration. I picked my pants up yesterday and they are WAY off. One leg is a full inch shorter than the other. I can't wear them. Given my trip is next week, and I doubt they can lengthen the short side - especially in a timely manner - I will give the slacks to Goodwill. I will go hunting today for a replacement. read more

I received an email from the the business that stated that they would refund my money if I was not completely satisfied. I answered with all the information to receive said refund. I have never heard from them since. They apparently don't keep their word. Stay clear of this business. read more
