The restaurent is located in a cul de sac in an area full of small enterprises. So you don't end up here, you come by choice. And it's definitely a good choice to go if you are up for good italian food, friendly and relaxed atmosphere. And the late Monday evening I decided to go, this nicely decorated restaurent was almost full. You find many of the classical italian dishes here as well as pizza.

The outside is unassuming for how nice it is on the inside. Great traditional Italian food and very nice service. The only thing that I would be aware of is that there are no descriptions of the menu items, my boyfriend is allergic to shellfish and we accidentally ordered a dish with shrimp in it which was a bit scary. We decided to get a full course meal with appetizer, first plate, and second plate. Our appetizer, fried squash blossoms, were absolutely mindblowing; I wonder if they were influenced by Portuguese peixinhos da horta, the OG tempura. The first course, a Milanese risotto, was absolutely bursting with rich saffron deliciousness. For our second course, we ended up getting a whole sea bash, cooked with just a little bit of olive oil and salt for flavor; the fish was tender and juicy, cooked just right. We also had a carafe of the house red wine, lightly sparkling which made it really nice. If I come back to Milan, I'll definitely head back to Calabrone 2 for dinner!

I had oysters for my appetizer... thought not on the menu I saw one crudo appetizer had them so I asked... and they were happy to comply... those oysters were as big as I wish penis was in my life. And then the primo piatto which was so unique for me but it's typical sardo seafood (risotto?) some kind of barley sized pasta or grain but with liquid (tomato based) and it was so delicious... they used different fish and shellfish including grouper (that was a new one for me) The owner was amazing and kind and non judgemental... and proud of his food.
