After double bypass open heart surgery (CABG) at EIRMC performed by Dr. Riveron with assistance from Logan Cutts, normally the cardiologist would do followup, but Dr. Riveron was a visiting physician helping out for a week. I had the pleasure of having Logan Cutts do my followup for the next ten weeks. The first post hospital followup had Logan enter the room, glance at his notes, and say "Lose 20 pounds." Not a suggestion, a statement. His kind, but blunt statements were impactful and effective. (I've lost 25 pounds since then.) I had significant blood pressure issues after that and Logan adjusted my bp meds to keep it in line. He also advised me on cardiac rehab, saying I should delay it until other rehab could be done. His manner was friendly, informative, and calming during a tough time. While in the hospital, I heard many times - "Logan? Everyone knows and likes Logan!" After ten weeks, I had found and had one visit with my new cardiologist (my previous one had retired), so Logan passed me on giving me best wishes and continued health. It was a great heart followup experience!

I was also told each time I called that Dr Stoddard had to approve me as a patient after he got my records. I contacted my doctor & called Stoddard's office back who had no record of my call. I called my doctors office again in California & asked that they call or fax Dr Stoddard's office the information they needed. I told my Dr in California I had to be approved to see this doctor. I was jumping thru hoops to try & see a doctor? I was even asked if I was sure I needed to see an internal medicine Doctor. Really? My doctors office in California had never heard of such a thing, nor did my insurance. This unfortunately set the scene & upset me, so I requested my records from Dr Stoddard's staff as it is not in my best interest to be seen in this office. Exactly what does he have to approve? I will go back to my doctor in California while trying to make funeral arrangements & then try and find an internal medicine Doctor In Idaho to assume my care. What a totally unnecessary waste of time & energy.

He has the best bedsides manner that I've experienced with an OBGyn which is very hard to find. I am going through menopause and it seems it's almost impossible to find a doctor who cares about this stage of a woman's life. Dr Nick Denson absolutely cares, and I feel incredibly lucky that I was able to sift through the many choices in doctors to find him. To top it all off, he is warm, personable and has a lovely sense of humor. His staff is also a five star crew. Every part of my experience with them was wonderful. I had to have a biopsy done, and they were wonderfully patient with my questions and concerns. My appointment was at 3pm. I arrived 15 minutes early to complete the new patient paperwork, and was taken in to see the doctor before my appointment time. They were very prompt. Even with the biopsy, I was in and out within an hour.

On my initial meeting, he impressed me for not always recommending medicine, but often invoking better lifestyle. After a heart attack, they refer you to your PCP for followup care (there is still the cardiologist and others involved). I've been seeing Logan Belnap, a staff member in tthe practice. I've now seen Logan Belnap more times than I've seen Dr Ward, and I'm also duly impressed. On first meeting, he'd obviously read the documents on my incident very thoroughly, and asked me to fill in the blanks. He took over fulfillment of the non-cardio prescriptions, gave me a path on how to improve at this point, and did quite a few followup visits to insure I was "doing the right thing". Overall, I'm very pleased that I moved to this practice and plan to stay for the foreseeable future.
