It's about a 20 minute drive from Lakewood. The view in the back is probably the reason why couples choose this location. But to have access to the view you have to actively look for it. It's mostly covered by the neighbors big trees. Parking is in front which is limited and the side of the road for about 10-12 cars. You can't park anywhere else or you will be towed. The inside of the venue is not that big although it's not tiny either. Two things to consider if you're thinking about using this venue. It's old. So they have a wall AC that blows arctic air in one direction. Mine. So someone will be me in your reception and she will not be able to take it. I felt like I was in a meat locker. Second thing to consider: the uneven floors. A few people almost fell flat on their faces. Dark wood floors that's uneven+Heels? Comedy or dark comedy? Your imagination will work an O.T on what could potentially happen here. It's dark inside as well. Although there's a bar that can fix that. I'm not impressed and not a fan at all.

One of the staffers commented that they had never seen the chairs look so good for a wedding. The linens and place settings are also older, but you do pay for an all-inclusive wedding, so you get what you get, I suppose. During conversation with Bob regarding details for the wedding, we asked that appetizers and drinks be ready for our daughter and son in law in the "bridal room" immediately following the ceremony. They wanted to have about 30 minutes to connect and reflect on the ceremony as a newly married couple. There was nothing. When I asked Bob about it, he said they would be there at 4:30p (it was 4:40p at the time). Disconcertingly, he also did not seem too worried about it. We heard that several of the CR staff members had called out sick on that day. The fact that not every scheduled staff member was there is unfortunate, but not our problem. I do want to say that the owners are very nice people. Bob was very friendly and respectful. However, he also is somewhat of a control freak and was a bit befuddled at times that we wanted to do things differently than his "plan." Example - he wanted our officiant to walk down the aisle prior to the mothers being seated - the direct opposite of how we do weddings in our faith community. The ceremony itself was perfect in every way, after we got that detail worked out. The music was on-point, and he worked easily with me to have the ceremony special music be perfect. For an indoor wedding, the guests face a rudimentary "stage," where they also place an arch that the couple is meant to be married under. I would recommend that future brides think about renting a curtain to cover this entire area, especially if you are like me and require a clean/simple aesthetic. You face an old-timey fireplace (not lit), and a stage of sorts, covered in old/dated grey carpet, at the back is where the DJ sits for the reception. On the far-right hand side of the stage, about an hour before the ceremony, 3 stacking chairs had still not been removed - my dad mentioned this to me - so my husband and wedding coordinator moved them. Additionally. When we booked the venue, we were told that the chairs would extend back towards the bar area, but, they put guests that would not "fit" on the floor to the upper area, behind a half wall - not even close to what had been discussed. Speaking of the upper area, one of the reserved tables in that area that was meant to be up front/center, was moved a row back, so one of the tables of honor was far in the back of the venue. Very, very disappointing, as it was full of my good friends who have been supporting our daughter for years and years. The reception. The bar opened immediately the ceremony, and I want to give those guys 5 stars ABSOLUTELY for their stellar service. The drinks were delicious, strong and were made quickly. I want to say that our entire party of about 80-ish people had drinks in hand within 15 minutes. No issues whatsoever with the bar service. The appetizers (meant to be ready at 4:30p) were not served until after 5p, which should really not be that big of a deal, but we had some hungry young adults (including bride/groom), so it was a thing. An odd twist came when the dinner was in full swing. We had discussed speeches during the dinner. However, we found that Bob was determined that speeches should take place during the cake cutting ceremony, after the kids finished eating. Again, he has an idea in his head of how a wedding should run. He finally relented and allowed us to have our speeches during dinner to honor the couple. When it was time to cut the cake, our kids were not permitted to have a wedding toast (with champagne that we had purchased) because we already did our speeches? How does one have anything to do with another? No speeches required - just able to quietly toast one another. Speaking of time dragging. I hate to mention this, but I do believe that one reason that the dinner was dragged way out was because we had purchased an open bar for 3 hours. Outside of the initial rush to the bar after the ceremony, the bar was not super busy. It seemed suspicious to me that the bar was targeted to be closed once dinner had finished (3 HOURS LATER?). People are going to drink more once dancing begins, and by that time, the open bar had closed, and had become a paid bar. TLDR: A lot of quirks, and if you choose to go with this venue, you will need to stay on top of expectations at all times. All in, we paid around $10k for 100 people. About 75 showed up, so be *very certain* of your final headcount, or you will be overcharged. If you are not incredibly attuned to detail, certain things will likely not bother you. If details are your thing, you may want to consider one of the other "all-inclusive" venues in the Denver area

The room was quite big, nice and clean and had a great view of Bloomfield. Included in your stay comes with complimentary breakfast, which is always a plus. They had eggs, bacon, sausage, chia pudding, cereal, fruit, and a waffle station and coffee always available in the lobby. One disappointment was that the pool was closed, and our bathroom didn't have a bathtub. Overall really enjoyed our stay though. There was rarely any employees at the front desk so sometimes you had to wait a little bit for someone to come out and assist you.

Breakfast is included and while it isn't *amazing,* the coffee is hot and you can make your own waffles -- all without leaving the hotel. The AC and heater work and have not been noisy during any of our trips. Mobile check-in and mobile keys mean that you don't have to talk to anyone on the way in (which is probably a plus for the staff since we're usually arriving pretty late and straight from a 12-14 hour drive). An interesting touch is that there is a QR code in the room that you can use to tip the staff. That way, you're not having to carry cash for tips or head to the front desk to break larger bills. There is a desk with a comfortable chair where I can work if I am doing that on a particular visit. There are a pair of elevators that are a little slow and can get congested when the hotel is full and it is peak checkout or breakfast time, but I think there are only 4 floors, so if you're in a hurry, taking the stairs is not a big problem when you're just popping down for food or otherwise not carrying luggage. As for the location, it is adjacent to the Colorado Mills mall and has pretty easy access to the highway. I think the parking is still free, though I have had my son drop me off the last couple of visits, so I am not 100% certain. If you're a Marriott loyalty member, you can get the "enhanced" (faster?) internet for free. That works well, but the "regular" free internet also works fine for us, especially if I am not having to take video calls for work. There are several power outlets in the room that are conveniently located near tables or other shelf-like surfaces. (No having to charge tour devices on the floor). I keep coming back here, so I must think it is at least "OK" :)

There is a happy hour at 530 pm with beer and maybe even some food, but we were enjoying the amenities of our room too much. So, this is a public service announcement, I suggest you bring food if your dietary needs involve late night snacking. Otherwise when you realize everything is closed, you'll wish you said you wanted breakfast at 8 am instead of 10 am and then your boyfriend will be unable to wait, has to go down the street and then you have four breakfasts by then. I'm not a high maintenance princess type so I do not expect a robe. I definitely don't expect it to be that soft. Since it had to be that soft, I got the idea there were supposed to be matching slippers hiding somewhere. I never found them. The check in process was easy and Maile was the person helping me. She was very polite and made sure that I have the best experience. My room was on the fifth floor and it was a nice room for one person or two. I checked out the fitness center on the 2nd floor and also their little outdoor patio area also on the same floor. There also a rooftop bar area on the 6th floor but I didn't have the opportunity to check it out. The bar area is great, there even an area where you can just hang out and watch TV or do some work. I grabbed breakfast and dinner at the bar during my stay, Jackie was the bartender and she was amazing. The breakfast burrito isn't that good or the flatbread Pepperoni pizza. The chicken sandwich with fries was my favorite dish here. I also had to print out a document and the staff here was great on helping me when it didn't print properly at their printer area. I had some issues during my stay. My room didn't have a TV remote when I first entered so I had to call the front desk to get one. The first one they give me didn't work so I had to call again. The second one they give me worker and while I had the worker there, I asked him to look at the heater since it was making noise. He ended up unplugging it because it's a known issue but they haven't fixed it yet. Keep in mind the weather was cold and snowing but I mostly like the cold weather. The water pressure in the shower isn't strong so be aware because I didn't enjoy that. It also makes noise from the dripping water since the metal drain is there so it was a little annoying. The noise from other rooms closing the door or just moving around will bother you as well. The TV had enough channels for me and all the channels I watch.
