Leading up to the wedding, they were super responsive and helpful throughout the planning process. At the wedding, Ryan and his team were incredibly friendly and were a hit! I received so many compliments from family and friends about how much they loved the Mountain crust crew. The staff was on site early, helped with setup, and left the venue as clean as they found it. They made a point to make sure the bridal party and parents were fed at all times throughout the day. Our guests can really eat and they fed everyone with ease! Every guest was able to get warm, fresh pizza and Mountain Crust didn't stop until everyone was satisfied and full! Despite having 160 people, they were incredibly efficient and guests did not have to wait to get food on their plate. When it comes to the food, their apps, pizza, and cookies are delicious!! They asked about any food restrictions as they're flexible and can accommodate any guest's needs, even if it is for a single guest. I would give them 100 stars if it was an option. read more

Although I loved the pizza - the staff, the professionalism and quality catering were what makes MC stand apart from other caterers. It was great working with them (as coordinator) and I'm beyond impressed with every person I encountered. Jack and Disser were great and unfortunately, I didn't get the names of anyone else. When my now-husband and I were planning our wedding, we quickly realized that the typical wedding food of steak, salad, chicken, and potatoes was NOT for us. Mountain crust was so easy to work with. They were super helpful and friendly. I emailed back and forth with Kathryn. She was great! She was even there on the wedding day. She watched out for my now husband and I. She brought us appetizers because she knew that we probably wouldn't get any, which was super considerate. They allowed us to take some shots with the truck and making pizza. They even packed us some pizzas to take home since they knew we probably couldn't eat normally. Everyone loved it too! I got to try these guys at a wedding, and they did a great job. Very friendly staff, efficient, and you could tell they were actually glad to be there, not just going through the motions. They cranked out a steady flow of pizzas and sliced them up for everyone, and they were willing to make custom ones as well - I noticed they made a dairy-free one for one guest. I didn't really get to see what toppings they had on the line, so I just went with whatever they made and tried a few different ones. Perhaps one menu board with their most popular combinations would have been helpful. But the pizzas were thin and cooked very quickly in the mobile oven, allowing them to have an assembly line to keep all of us fed. The bartender worked quickly too, keeping all of us happy, and they ran a smooth operation. I'll look for them elsewhere in town as well. read more

Mountain Crust was great to work with. Unfortunately, we had to postpone our June 2020 wedding to June 2021 and they were very easy to work with. This was the first catering company I looked during my research and I kept coming back to them. We envisioned "one big party, in the park" and Mountain Crust delivered. They made sure the bride and groom were fed and hydrated all night long. Ryan and his team were the best and really made us feel at ease, so we could enjoy our party. The salad, spinach dip, lamb meatballs and pizza were to die for!!!! We especially loved the pesto! We also topped off the night with wood fired cookies...so delicious. We went with Mountain Crust after our initial caterer put us on the schedule for the wrong day for our wedding (that's a story for a different time). They were a blind hire but since they were recommended by our venue we thought what option to do we have....what a blessing in disguise that our original vendor dropped out. Mountain Crust was FANTASTIC. First of all just about everyone at the wedding commented on how amazing the staff was; one girl even remembered names and favorite pizza slices of one of our guests). If their crew leader Scooter ran for President I'm pretty sure everyone from my wedding would vote for him-he is a legend from our wedding. I found Mountain Crust on Instagram and we chose them for our wedding before my dress, before the venue..before anything! And what a good choice that was! Everything about working with Ryan and Kathryn was ideal. They were quick to respond to emails/questions and had a positive attitude about everything. The fact that COVID was a constant issue with our wedding didn't cause a hitch, they were really flexible; whether we wanted a refund or to change our date (several times) it wasn't an issue. And I can't say many other vendors were so accommodating and understanding, that really impressed me and my husband. Because of COVID, our wedding certainly didn't turn out as we expected but Mountain Crust truly made the day even more special. The only reason we give them 5 stars is because there's no option to give them 10! Mountain Crust did our wedding and by the end of the night it felt like they were family. Planning the wedding everyone told us we wouldn't have time to eat or drink but Mountain Crust took that into account and kept our drinks full and our stomachs happy the entire time. They were totally engaged with guests and made the atmosphere of the wedding 10x better. All of the reviews we got on our wedding included a hilarious story involving Ryan or Phil. Mountain Crust catered my son's wedding at the City Center Pavillion on 8/2/19. They were absolutely awesome. They did both hordeoveres, salad and many, many excellent pizzas. They made sure everyone in the wedding party had their fill of food, even offered to drive to get extra drinks when we ran out. Their customer service skills are awesome. They are fun and creative, entertaining the guests with their pie making skills. They took requests for pizzas and they were all delicious. If I could give them a 10 I would! I've been to a lot of food trucks- and a lot of good ones- and I can honestly say that Mountain Crust might be my favorite one yet. I've seen food trucks selling crazy vegan arepas or artisan s'mores or *deconstructed* pho (ok I made that one up)- but these guys are doing one of the best and most popular foods in the world- PIZZA- and doing it so well. Mountain Crust is a super fun truck. First off, it is a cool machine in itself. A giant wood fired oven like I'd imagine all the nonnas of Napoli lust after. Beers on tap (!) and a great pizza making station in front. It's covered in cool, weathered looking wood and then the truck is a cool bright turquoise blue. Yes, you will want to Instagram this. Yes, I said "cool" three times in this paragraph alone. You can tell the bros running it are loving every second of working. They're fun, jamming to 70s rock and were super friendly and helpful. Their vibe was so good that I just switched to the Stones' Sticky Fingers on Spotify to finish this review. I was here for an event, which was great, because it meant I got to try a bunch (read: a lot) of different pizzas and drink beer. Some personal favorites: -the Aspen Amanda. Fig chutney makes everything delicious, but then you throw in arugula, goat cheese, and prosciutto. This is every PTA mom's dream but it is also mine so yeah. -the Copper Mountain. Chicken, spinach, and some of the best pesto I've had. You can tell this shit is fresh from the farmers market. -some veggie business that I can't find on the menu online so it must have been a special for the day. Corn, shaved asparagus, peppers, cauliflower. Yaaaaaassss. They've got appetizers too that sound amazing (PIMIENTO CHEESE CROQUETTES, C'MON). And did I talk about the beer? Was introduced to a new favorite IPA here from Platt Park Brewing. I wish I could host events with Mountain Crust pizza every weekend like a hipster Gatsby. With all that is going on with COVID19, I relied on the wedding vendors I hired to be there for me during this crazy time. I researched and really thought Mountain Crust Catering was the best choice but unfortunately, I soon found out that was not the case. I had no choice but to reschedule my son's rehearsal dinner due to guest count size and state restrictions from Sept 2020 to 2021. I was hit hard with a $500 rescheduling fee from the owner, Ryan, even though it was out of my control and there was no way we would be allowed to have a party with that large guest count. We gave a $300 deposit to Mountain Crust Catering and the only place it was noted that it was non-refundable was in an email. No signed agreement. In addition, Mountain Crust Catering never shared a policy on date changes or force majeure for situations like Covid that are out of the customer's control. I am a reasonable person but trying to work with Ryan to find an amicable solution during this crazy pandemic was unbearable. I felt bullied into paying more money without receiving any additional services. This is the first negative review I've every written and it was heartbreaking that Ryan wasn't more reasonable. I recommended a smaller market value increase like $100 to reschedule or just return the deposit and those ideas were not accepted. And this is why I do not recommend Mountain Crust Catering, Denver. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Mountain Crust! Ryan and his team made our day even better than we could have imagined. They are so fun and personable and kept the party going all night! They were thoughtful enough to save a plate of appetizers for my husband and I while we were taking our photos during cocktail hour, so we didn't have to miss out on the delicious food! They also ended up saving the day when our sound system wasn't working. Ryan brought in his speaker and got the music going right away. We have received so many compliments about the food and the overall experience Mountain Crust provides. Probably the worst experience I've had with a caterer. We first met Ryan and he was amazing (note how all the reviews were for Ryan) but unfortunately we got Karen or kathrine or whatever. She was an hour late for what we spoke about saying her paperwork showed a different time. Which happens, the cocktail hour was only slightly delayed which wasn't the end of the world. Probably should have called the day before to confirm which was our bad. The staff on this crew was so unenthusiastic it hurt to speak to them. It wasn't the quirky fun Ryan jamming tunes and having a ball like we were lead to believe. The perks stoned lady was so laid back she could have time travelled backwards in time. We got the lamb meatballs and the baked Brie for the apps which were out of this world. But they only brought out 3 trays and two Brie's from what I saw. 1 tray and some Brie went to the bridal sweet, but that was lackluster from what they described. Since there was a flax seed allergy they accommodated that flawlessly. Don't get me started on the pizza. Some where beautiful and well received but we were told people could create their own which was not the case. They were given vegan cheese for a certain three people and told us we could create our own. But some idiot put cream sauce on one, and the other two were not what we wanted. Also the attitude of the staff wasn't spectacular, they seemed like they were in a rush to leave. My sister kindly went out and watched them make a last ditch effort at a lactose free pizza with the crumbs from the bag which was horrible and super unprofessional. I feel like if we had Ryan, we would have had an amazing experience, but the crew we got was like getting the 99¢ version of something nice. We don't live here in town and we're so delighted to have mountain crust at our event, but they were unpleasant and didn't have the same vibe that Ryan sold us on. It's a shame since we were looking forward to having Mountain crust cater our event. read more

Mountain Crust far exceeded any expectations I ever could have had for a caterer. Especially for such a young group, it's amazing how they have this business running like a well oiled machine. They are super fun, yet still professional, responsive and efficient, and create the MOST AMAZING PIZZAS. They were also able to keep up with a very hungry group pf 130 people - there was never a time where there wasn't pizza being served. We had mountain crust cater our welcome party the night before our wedding in Granby, CO and our guests were amazed. The truck is very cool, and adds to the fun, relaxed vibe. The staff were all hysterical, and fun and lively. And the food is spectacular. Kath was extra attentive to me and my now-husband on the day-of to make sure we actually ate something and to make sure we got out "dream pizza." I recently photographed a wedding where Mountain Crust was catering and I was blown away. Their food is delicious, their set up is beautiful, they are by far the nicest people I've ever encountered in the food service industry and they're cool as hell. Typically caterers aren't very interested in making an impression on the other vendors, and I totally understand that, but these folks made us feel really special without sacrificing service to the guests and I think that just says something about them as people. Most importantly their food is excellent. Very very good pizza and they had lots of vegetarian options. One of their staff literally just looked at me and knew I was looking for the vegetarian pizza.
