Opting out of the traditional "cutting the cake"

When my now-husband and I were planning our wedding, we quickly realized that the typical wedding food of steak, salad, chicken, and potatoes was NOT for us. The stereotypical wedding menu didn't feel like us, and we wanted something that was fun and that we actually liked to eat! Enter: Mountain Crust. Our Savior. They were consistently responsive, helpful, and above all, FUN. Everyone we emailed, called, or chatted with leading up to the wedding was so kind and goofy in a way that still felt professional and like they knew their stuff. They showed so much genuine energy and excitement during the day of the actual wedding, and served INCREDIBLE FOOD. We got the charcuterie and beef wellington apps, pizza service and I-70 salad for dinner, and cookies for dessert. It was a part of our wedding that we and our guests really loved. Even the mother-in-law that was hesitant about the informality of pizza went back for seconds!!

We used Mountain Crust to cater our wedding and I can't say enough good things about this vendor! The pizza was awesome; five star toppings, sauces and everything hot and fresh. The appetizers we chose were down right delicious but something you might over think is "just the salad" was even phenomenal. The quality of ingredients and flavors left so many of our wedding guests complimenting our choice in caterers. So thank you to Ryan and the full mountain crust team for make our day extra special.

I cannot say enough good things about these guys. The crew we had at my sisters wedding was such a blast. They bent over backwards to make sure everything was perfect for us. The pizza was so good! The whole vibe they brought to the wedding was exactly what we were hoping for and then some.

Mountain crust food truck came to our neighborhood and it was amazing! We ordered ahead of time so we wouldn't have to wait. The staff was fun and friendly, wearing masks and the set up allowed for social distancing. I reccomend the mushroom pizza!

Mountain Crust catered my son's wedding at the City Center Pavillion on 8/2/19. They were absolutely awesome. They did both hordeoveres, salad and many, many excellent pizzas. They made sure everyone in the wedding party had their fill of food, even offered to drive to get extra drinks when we ran out. Their customer service skills are awesome. They are fun and creative, entertaining the guests with their pie making skills. They took requests for pizzas and they were all delicious. If I could give them a 10 I would! They also stayed until closing and helped with cleanup, a great help to all of us!

I've been to a lot of food trucks- and a lot of good ones- and I can honestly say that Mountain Crust might be my favorite one yet. I've seen food trucks selling crazy vegan arepas or artisan s'mores or *deconstructed* pho (ok I made that one up)- but these guys are doing one of the best and most popular foods in the world- PIZZA- and doing it so well. Mountain Crust is a super fun truck. First off, it is a cool machine in itself. A giant wood fired oven like I'd imagine all the nonnas of Napoli lust after. Beers on tap (!) and a great pizza making station in front. It's covered in cool, weathered looking wood and then the truck is a cool bright turquoise blue. Yes, you will want to Instagram this. Yes, I said "cool" three times in this paragraph alone. You can tell the bros running it are loving every second of working. They're fun, jamming to 70s rock and were super friendly and helpful. Their vibe was so good that I just switched to the Stones' Sticky Fingers on Spotify to finish this review. I was here for an event, which was great, because it meant I got to try a bunch (read: a lot) of different pizzas and drink beer. Some personal favorites: -the Aspen Amanda. Fig chutney makes everything delicious, but then you throw in arugula, goat cheese, and prosciutto. This is every PTA mom's dream but it is also mine so yeah. -the Copper Mountain. Chicken, spinach, and some of the best pesto I've had. You can tell this shit is fresh from the farmers market. -some veggie business that I can't find on the menu online so it must have been a special for the day. Corn, shaved asparagus, peppers, cauliflower. Yaaaaaassss. They've got appetizers too that sound amazing (PIMIENTO CHEESE CROQUETTES, C'MON). And did I talk about the beer? Was introduced to a new favorite IPA here from Platt Park Brewing. I wish I could host events with Mountain Crust pizza every weekend like a hipster Gatsby. These guys would be perfect for a wedding, grad party, family reunion... Everyone likes pizza and Mountain Crust is killing the pizza truck game.

This was awesome stuff! It was fresh out of the oven and the choices of flavors were top notch! I do not see how this could be a let down.

I am from Denver but live in CA currently and am planning from afar. Sent an incredibly detailed inquiry with day-of event timeline by hour, menu ideas, location (just a few blocks from their prep kitchen) and a bit about the event. Received two separate responses from he and his wife, Holly, seeking details already provided in my initial inquiry like guest count, location, time. Sent several emails back and forth clarifying capabilities, menu ideas, rentals etc. and finally had to set up a call in October (initiated by me after many proposal mistakes) to align. There was constant confusion regarding the style of the event and rentals - TBH, the many proposal revisions due to their mistakes maybe should have been the hint this might not be the best fit. But we went ahead! Terrence was late to the call on October 15 but let me know ahead of time and I genuinely didn't have an issue with it. After aligning, I paid $100 to have a menu tasting on Monday, December 22 when my husband and I would be visiting Denver from CA. So, this is a tasting that has been on the calendar for at least a month. When we arrived at our tasting (after confirming via email the week before and day of) 15 minutes before (6:45p) the scheduled time of 7pm, Terence is irate. Mistakenly, the event in my calendar was in PT (since we live in CA) instead of MT. He says that he refuses to serve us because we have "disrespected him and wasted his time and he has a 4-month-old at home." He continues to say that we are disorganized and lack care and that in addition to not offering a tasting, he will not put in the effort to cook for our wedding after how we've treated him. We are SUPER apologetic - this is something we've spent money on, confirmed via email and have been looking forward to. When asked why he didn't call to check on our arrival time, he said he "doesn't have my phone number. And you confirmed with Holly so that should have been enough." Because I filled out an entire inquiry on their website and spoke with him personally to schedule this tasting, it's BUCK WILD to say that you don't have my number and think sending an email is problem solving enough. We would have literally hopped in the car and been there in 15 minutes had we been given the courtesy of a phone call. All of this to say, we made a mistake, were very apologetic and were treated super rudely and given no tasting despite paying. 0/10 for TBD Foods.

So, their pricing was in line with other high quality meals and it serves 10-12, which is perfect for 8 people on Thanksgiving ;) I ordered the whole roasted turkey (they have several types of turkey available) and the side dish bundle which included mashed potatoes, sage stuffing, praline sweet potatoes, green beans almandine (with tons of yummy bacon), gluten free gravy, cranberry relish, and brioche rolls. The non-contact, drive through pick up the day before Thanksgiving was staffed by very helpful, friendly people wearing masks. They put my order on my back seat and I was through the line in less than 10 minutes. When I got home, I immediately started unpacking everything so I could divide it up into "to go" orders for my family Zoom on Thanksgiving. I thought the turkey was frozen and started to panic but when I called them, they said it was not really frozen but very chilled and the shrink wrap made it seem frozen. They had me submerge it in hot water for about an hour. The directions say to heat it in the oven for about an hour, then tent it to rest, then slice it. Since I didn't have time for that, after it warmed up, we were able to slice off enough for my daughter's family so we could give her her share when she dropped off the pies. I split up the meal 4 ways and with her pies, we delivered everything just in time for our 1:00 pm Zoom. We all had different favorites for the food but we all agreed that everything, including the turkey (after we each heated up our own part) was delicious. My favorite was the praline sweet potatoes. They were creamy and had a great praline flavor and came with candied pecans to sprinkle over the top. I highly recommend this complete meal from Tony's and it would have been so easy if we were having people over. The fact that I had to divide and package it up made it a little more difficult but still much easier than cooking. They are offering more meals for the holidays that include turkey or prime rib, beef tenderloin or Applewood smoked ham. I'm betting they are all delicious! Thank you Tony's for making my pandemic Thanksgiving so much easier! You are my new "go to" for family meals.

We especially loved the cornbread stuffing and potatoes. We also had ham which I was expecting to be generic processed "ham in a can" and that was not the case. It was really favorable.
