I could not have been happier and my dog lived to be almost 14. My dog was a true soldier to my family, a great pet, ptsd support animal and best friend-a true fur son and as I called him my "Dog man" lol...he was everything and when I saw a litter born 12/20....the same day he passed away I knew I had to have one.... even if a girl this time....which I'm looking forward to. My dog came out of the box at 12 weeks potty trained, never chewed or bit ....he was a model puppy in behavior. We understand that's rare but he was born intelligent and with a great love of humans. He would not eat until the human said to....even though we never taught that! He was always focused on me and gentle with my grandkids and his cat (Pumpsy). We already love our new girl and all we've seen is a couple photos. The whole litter is spectacular and it was hard picking between the 3 Clayton liked for us. I'll update with photos after she settles in. So grateful 14 years later that Clayton and family are still breeding great dogs. If we ever want another we will be back. I just went to bring my cat in for a nail trim (who just had her nails trimmed 2 months ago by…read morethem) and the vet tech comes out to tell me she cannot do the trim because they don't have proof of rabies vaccine! My cats have a different vet (Tyranena, which I highly recommend) but I have gone to Jefferson Vet Clinic for the nail trim. Instead of telling me weeks ago when I made this appointment they needed my proof of vaccination they told me at the time of the visit & then refused to trim my cats nails! I am VERY frustrated as they have never mentioned this any other time I've taken my cats there!

Dr. Luebbe is kind, always answers my questions fully (no matter how many times I ask the same ones), and is informative. He spends a lot of time with us, especially now that Conan is getting older, and I have more concerns. Conan has chronic pain due to hip dysplasia, and Dr. Luebbe has been very responsive to this. The veterinary technicians are friendly, the puppers adore them, and all but SKIP into the clinic. One of them even does GROOMING now, so that alleviates what was once a long trip. The front desk has been handled for years by Deb (I think she runs the whole place, she says she doesn't), and if the boys need to be seen right away due to illness, she gets us in with another vet. The waiting area is large, and the clinic isn't overbooked and thus full of anxious animals (and their guardians) waiting to be seen. The cost is reasonable for the area, and the staff does a charity event for the hungry at Christmas. Seriously- we are BLESSED to have them as our animal health care providers.
