From the whimsical front hair prices to the flowy bodied curls, it was perfect. She used hairspray for gold and texture, but I could run my hands through my curls and it felt amazing. Makeup: I never thought bridal makeup could feel so lightweight. My skin looked flawless and my lip color stayed on through late night pizza, perfectly lined and all. She even gave me a small tube of color for touch up even though I didn't need it. She used individual grouped lashes which I love! I like the salon and the owner. The salon is very stylish and owner is pleasant for that I give 4 stars. But the stylist (K) whom I tried to have good faith in obviously is very inexperienced. My hair was damaged and colored dark and she was able to work with me to help restore the health and lighten my coloring but sadly that's where it ended. She does not clearly communicate as she had me book well in advance for full Baylayage and then only provided reg coloring (which ended up being too dark,). This was the 2nd time I was expecting full Baylayage coloring that she misled me. On two other previous visits she was supposed to cut my hair but failed to do so. She asked for photos (Balayage and color) which I showed her the same photos on multiple visits to which she remarked its doable but when its time to execute she doesnt fullfill. She states she prefers to do natural hair coloring but her skills are limited to the basics. Natural hair color has different tones. She doesn't understand how to mix toners, cut layers or perform true Baylayage. For this I give her 2 stars....making this review an average of 3 stars. On a side note when I remarked my dissatisfaction I was asked to find another stylist. Weirdly I always felt a salon would try to make their customers happy but I guess that's not their policy.

Now we have MAC counters all over the United States and we were lucky enough to get MAC in Medford as a Leased department within Macys. The MAC employees here are just that- MAC employees. They are not Macys at all - just to be clear, because I know sometimes people get frustrated that they can't have other items from the store rang there. They lease space from Macys- just like the Sunglass Hut and Finish Line shoes also lease space from Macys. That be said - the crew here is awesome. Their training is absolutely top notch. They have so much knowledge about trends and makeup fashion, they are often ahead of the curve and it allows me as a customer to get the coolest things before it launches everywhere else. I came to check out the very limited Selena collection today. It was gorgeous- and now this evening I guess most of it is sold out. MAC always hits the mark on the pulse of cosmetics. While I was shopping I saw they have a cute Trolls collection- going along with the movie coming out. I also checked out the newest Viva Glam from Ariana Grande- super pretty. I love the line- the eyeshadows are some of my all time favorites and I swear by their undereye color corrector for my purple circles. I've turned so many people on to how to color correct genetic dark circles with their easy to learn concepts- maybe I should be buying stock - lol! I will continue to shop at this location because of how much service I get from this crew. I've never gotten bad service no matter who was working and I appreciate that. I've shopped at MAC counters all up and down the west coast and this small little location here is just as, if not more talented than any of the big cities I've shopped. I can't wait for the holiday collection to launch and they also told me today that there's a brand new Mariah Carey collection coming this Christmas too- can't wait! A cosmetic junkie can never have enough lipsticks and eyeshadow!

I went to the near by UD counter and bought a product the exact same at mac but cheaper so I went to go return it. Waited in line for about five minutes and when I got up there the girl just walked away with out a word!!! Eventually I got to the counter, employee again was very nice until I mentioned my return. Bad Experience; poor customer service. I had microblading on my eyebrows as well as eyeliner…read moretattooing. 2 a.m. the following day I woke up with goopy eyes, swelling and excruciating pain. I was unable to see out of my right eye and only able to read the first to lines of an eye chart from my left, in Immediate Care. Antibiotics given for scratched cornea (both eyes). Her response 7 DAYS LATER via text indicates it was a "reaction" and reminded me of the consent form I signed. I told her that a consent does not protect her for liability or responsibility. She feels there was no neglect on her part. Certainly, allowing ink to run in my eyes is, as far as I'm concerned, is neglect. I requested a partial refund to help cover cost of lost work, medical visits and medication, of which she has refused. Of note, I was fully prepared to take her to arbitration until I found out there is a $600 filing fee. My guess is she's aware of this and standing her ground. Of note, I'm very pleased with the final outcome but have no intentions of ever returning. Buyer beware.
