They were going all out when I was checking their store out. It was after Thanksgiving, so we were there for the yule time. This place has so many things that smell so, so strongly. They've got jars upon jars of potpourri, and scented candles. You could smell this store when the doors opened. They've got a bunch of olive oils, and it looked like they were giving away samples in other times, but not at the moment. They sell lots of soaps, oils, and the like too. The clerks were nonchalant about my roaming around. I didn't bother to try and get up in the window display with a chair in it that looks like it might be a comfortable place to sit and watch traffic go by. Tucked away in a quaint old coach house, Colonial Florist is an adorable, local flower shop. The…read morestore itself is overflowing with flowers, flower paraphernalia (pots, vases, ribbons), and cheery, helpful salespeople. Colonial has always helped out when we've needed flowers for family events - even on very short notice (That's right - if you live in the Waynesville area and have received flowers from me, they may have been last-minute. My secret is safe with Colonial!). As a bonus, Colonial is home to a couple friendly animals. Papa B. met a cat on one of his visits, and later that weekend, I was greeted by a German Shepard puppy. Apparently, I was wrong because what was delivered was a bouquet of lilies with tulips. I call and spoke to Mr. Jack and his response to my dissatisfaction was... "I did you a favor by adding the lilies plus I didn't charge you for the lilies" I did not ask him to add any other flower to MY ORDER and I was quite thrilled in his assurance that my requested bouquet could be filled. Sadly, he ruined my birthday gift to my dear friend. I will never give my business to Colonial Floral & gifts ever again nor will I recommend them to anyone. Mr. Jack did offer to go pick up the arrangement that was delivered to my friend informing me that -he would be "happy to go pick up the bouquet" So, that's how CF&G do business. Such a shame!
