The insurance only covers 20 days stay!! I was told by the social worker/staff no problem we have programs to assist after the 20th day!!!! My mom being on over 11 meds at this facility signed a document without a family member present that she will cover the co-pay. My mother 79 yrs young thought co-pay is $25.00 . When I finally checked my mom out of this facility, in her mail was a bill for $4818.50!!!! After contacting the business unit in Baldwin, NY the young lady told me that the bill is actually $7,751.50($209.50 per day)!!!! If a program could not be found for my mother, why did it take $7,751.50 to make her aware & the family!!! We only live around the corner from this facility.!!! STAY AWAY!!!!!!!

However the…read moreprovider seems to focus more on getting you to come into the office more frequently than necessary to bill, when it can be a quick portal email message. I don't see a reason to come into the office just to be told my lab results are normal (which I can also see on the results portal). Medication refills for NON controlled substances are for 3 months max, no refills, & require an in person visit every 3 months. Other medical offices I've been to just send a portal message if results are normal. I discussed this with them and there seems to be no compromising. I respect the provider's choice to be on the stricter side of the guidelines, but as a relatively young and health person, with a well controlled medical issue, I prefer someone who listens, is understanding and able to work with me. I have switched to a new provider at a totally different office that fits my needs better.

- made two appointment back-to-back for myself and my then 16 year old daughter for annual physical…read more- at the "physical" we endured a bunch of unnecessary tests like EKG (what 16 year-old needs an ekg? - saw the doc together for a total of maybe 5 minutes - was prescribed medications we did not need - didn't get the incentive my emplyer gives for annual physicals because the practice didn't bill it as a physcial - had a charge in my EOB called "ENCEPHLGRM" which they told me was an EKG (I'm an RN I know that's not the code for an EKG) which of course my nsurance did not pay for bc it was not necessary - not was it performed bc I didn't have one ended up with a $400 bill PER PERSON for a physical that should be covered under my insurance!!

A new patient date would be about a month away 2. I couldn't get a physical the same day 3. They wouldn't accept my insurance 4. Every other place couldn't be bothered with me because I was new It was all so frustrating until I finally found this place!! I called on a Monday afternoon and got an appointment for Tuesday at 9am! I was able to get in, fill out all the new patient paperwork and get my entire physical done within an hour. Every single staff member that I encountered was so sweet and friendly. The doctor was thorough and kind. The waiting room, testing room and examination room were fantastically clean and decorated nicely. I am SO beyond happy I found this place and would recommend them to everyone and anyone!!

Not to mention she didn't even check the sheet to see I was allergic to hey. I know this because she asked me if I was allergic to shelfish only which i did not have crossed off and she would have known this if she had looked at the sheet I had signed outside the office. If you are reading this mam you have probably cost me my life. I am suffering tremendously losing weight and sweating every night for the past month. I cannot go to the bathroom for ten days and I do not absorb my food intake because that radiation has damaged my neurological system. I woke up on fire the day after with extreme poisening. I could feel the radiation coming out of my skin. If the woman who was so seemingly in a rush to get me into the machine reads this, understand this.. i will forgive you but I would also appreciate it if you quit your job tomorrow and found another line of work. You will remember me very easily I am the one you sent through twice and the first time the instructions where in spanish and when you did that you said Opps sorry ! Horrible what is happening to me. There is a very good chance that your negligence will cost me my life. The severe symptoms I have a month and a half latter are increasingly life threatening. I hope I live through this but something tells me this will kill me and i wont be the first. Look it up people. Cat scan radiation poisening... Yeah many can take it but what if you like me cannot. I would never take it. I would do an mri first or some other less invasive measure. This is a horrible experience but as they say things happen for a reason and if this is how I am meant to go well so be it but dam i wish I had a choice in this. i wish i could go back in time. i would leave that place in a minute and run for my life. Gastreoparalysas where you lose total function of your digestive system because the nerves have been eternally severed or how about neuropathy where you lose sensation in your extremities not to mention the internal damage to your autonomic system and one last thing people there is another thing that can happen. MCAS Mast Cell Activation Syndrome.. yeah look it up. here your DNA is severed and you develope and host of life threatening issues that end up also destroying you so with that before any of you jump into one of these machines remember what I am telling you.. God forbid this happens to you trust me you will never forget it.. Within 24 hours of seeing Dr. Schneck my son went into surgery and the doctor explained everything to me step by step during the appointment the day before and at the hospital. He was very clear and always answered any questions. Today my son was having a little issue seeing and the doctor saw us right away (to make sure retina wasn't damaged). Luckily, that was not the issue and we will check with the pediatric optometrist. Highly recommend him!
