I had several calls initiated by the staff before my visits so that all preparations were in place for our visits. My son's case is a little complicated and the staff is very engaged with all the documents that need to be shared and coordinated with the various dental practices. They even called up a specialist for an emergency consult for me and made the appointment, which was wonderful service. My other kids want to start coming here so I will likely switch their dentist for all of them at their next checkup.

I could hear my son screaming and crying from the front waiting room area. I filed a complaint and nothing was ever done. I highly recommend taking your child ANYWHERE other than here. His staff must be used to it because not only didn't they call but acted like they understood his behavior. When we got back into the car, Chance asked if he did anything wrong. I told him no! They went there in 2014 and 2015, the result was no cavities, everything was good. My son had some fillings before he went this practice so I was pretty happy and surprised! Because of insurance, I have to change dentist, and their new dentist showed me the x Ray, my son has 5 cavities and my daughter has 1. With my son, some of his cavities aren't new...they have been there at least 9 months. Chop pediatricians are the employee of Chop so it doesn't matter how many patients they have and they will make the same amount of money. Disingenuous, Unprofessional, Disorganized…read more Dr. Melini's office said they would accept our MetLife dental insurance before our kids' appointments this summer, but billed at out-of-network rates after the fact. His office asked for payment via text message without an itemized bill. He failed to send my son's x-rays, as promised. Myriad attempts to reach an understanding have been unsuccessful and I have relayed our concerns about his impropriety to the Pennsylvania Department of Dentistry. There are undoubtedly great dentists in the area, this guy is clearly not one of them. You can have a slick website, fancy equipment, and the right professional accreditations - but there's something to be said for integrity and a sense of right and wrong. His practice has fallen well short of the mark on multiple fronts. My only regret is not leaving zero stars, which is what they deserved.
