If you are looking for a wedding photographer and are interested in using Robert Faust…read more(www.robertfaustphotography.com) I would think twice. I am not discrediting his work, but I am about to discredit him as a human being. I booked him originally back in May before Shawn and I found out we were expecting to take our wedding/engagement photo's. I paid a $750 retainer fee. I mailed this check and he cashed it on May 21st, which is the day before we found out we were pregnant. Well, with everything being crazy in our lives at that point I emailed him on June 27th to cancel and see about getting that money back. He explained that in my contract it stated I wouldn't be able to get this money back for any reason, which I later found it was stated in the contract. He also stated I would have to send a formal cancellation letter. Since, I didn't want to lose my $750 because that is a HEFTY amount of money I didn't send a formal cancellation letter. I thought I will use him for my maternity photos. I emailed him to see about scheduling the maternity photo's in early November. He responded saying that he was only in the business of wedding photography and didn't have anyone he could recommend. I thought he was just trying to blow me off, so I emailed him again asking if I could schedule my engagement photos because I never had those taken. I mean, what is the difference between engagement photo's and maternity photos? Just a belly on the woman and the photographer may have to use a wider lense. No big deal! He responds back with saying how he feels real bad about the situation, however, the retainer fee is just that, a fee to retain the date for you. After I retained the date, they had to turn away several weddings for that date and cannot open it back up to try to re-book it until that get a formal letter of cancellation from me. He did inform me too that if he didn't have the formal cancellation letter within 3 months of my date I had reserved and I didn't have a wedding I would have to pay 1/2 of his basic package price. So, I swallowed my pride and sent the cancellation letter and planned on kissing my $750 goodbye, until he responded with the attached response. So, since Mr. Robert thinks that I will be getting remarried one day and he will be doing me a favor if he books that date again, I want to do him a favor of not getting any more business. I don't appreciate him saying he will take my pictures if I get remarried again. Who says that? I mean you are already getting my money why take a dig at my marriage? Don't say it will fail and that I will get remarried.

The photographer behind Twirl always suggests an excellent location and timing so you get magical photos. No surprise there: some of the historic photos published in the Times Picayune from the Katrina era were hers. Ditto some actors' head shots you may see in posters and programs for shows around town. She's even got a Pulitzer to show for it (the journalism, not the head shots). But enough about her background. You'll start with a dialogue defining what you want to come out of your session. Then when the time (and light) is right, meet up with Jenn for a dynamic photo session with a mix of carefully posed compositions and some carefree, "just look like you're running to the ice cream truck!" shots. It's busy but a lot of fun. Out of all that, expect some good choices for your album.

Jennifer recently photographed my headshots. I knew I needed new portraits of myself, but I was…read moredreading it because I hate being in front of the camera. Jennifer quickly assured me that it would be painless, and she was absolutely right. She coached me through the whole session made me laugh, and it felt like I was actually working with a friend. This was my first experience of actually enjoying being in front of the camera. I look like a better version of myself without it looking stiff or retouched. If you are looking for an easy stress-free, headshot or portrait session run to contact Jennifer she is truly amazing! Thanks again I actually really love my photos! Thanks Twirl Photography!!
