My session with Marianne was very personal to me. My grandmother passed away last year and among…read moreother things, she left me her collection of vintage hats. I'm not a big hat wearer, but I knew that I didn't want them to just sit in a drawer untouched. I decided that I wanted to pick a couple of my favorites and do a glamorous photo shoot, not only to honor my grandmother, but to have nice pictures of me in the hats. I contacted Marianne with my idea and she immediately went to work helping me plan it. She helped me pick out a location and from there I went ahead with planning which hats I would bring along with different outfits. On the day of the shoot I was super excited. I had picked two of my favorites along with matching dresses. We did the shoot at Audubon Park and Marianne and her husband Steve were great in not only making me feel at ease, but at directing the shoot, telling me how to pose, and choosing the perfect spots for the pictures. When I got the pictures back, I was so excited! They were exactly what I had hoped for and I even gave my dad a print of one, since it was his mother's hats. He loved it. We opted for 2 days of photography and her "green screen" selfie station. The price was reasonable and fair and I was delighted to have the contract signed. Why Yvette from the three finalists chosen for the contract? Quite simply, I found her images stunning! Once onsite Yvette and her team were prompt, professional, communicative, and they worked constantly! They were not a passive "let's see who comes up to us for a photograph" team, they were engaging and fun! They reached out to my event attendees (about 380) and made them smile, feel comfortable, and enjoy having photographs taken. My attendees LOVED Yvette and her team and yours will, too! Yvette's "eye" for composition is awe-inspiring. She captured the depth and breadth of breathtaking rooms while sharing the human element and emotion of the moment with each photo. Terrible Communication and Unfulfilled Order 1 star…read more I had a frustrating experience with Davillier Photography. I placed an order on July 23, 2024, and waited weeks without any updates. I tried calling multiple times to follow up, but no one responded. When I finally got through in August because they reached out me by phone after several emails, they explained the lack of communication was due to an issue with their automated email system. But, by then, I felt I had been defrauded -- there was zero communication, and no product or service had been rendered. Prior this call, I decided not to proceed with my order which was stated in writing to the company and disputed the charge with my bank. I explained this to them in detail when finally getting a call by their owner, yet somehow they still told my bank that the purchase was valid, even though I received nothing. This charge still remains on my account while the company is refuting having received compensation. As of today, October 28, 2024, I have not received a refund and while I do not want any - nor have I received products or services. Terrible experience all around. I would definitely not recommend doing business with this company.
