She was honest in outlining the final results of my facelift. However, it was not until I actually underwent plastic surgery that I fully realized that it it is a very long process. Not only is the skill and the aesthetic touch of the physician important, but the patient's role in the healing process is vital. Dr. Yagoda is a compassionate surgeon with outstanding technical skills , and a strong aesthetic sense. She made my facelift experience quite tolerable. My results were well worth the great expenses and lengthy discomforts. Thanks to Dr. Yagoda, I am now an updated classic!

I enjoy the reviews saying she is "nice". No, she isn't even a nice yet incompetent or unskilled…read moresurgeon of the sort that makes an entire living off the authoritativeness of being a WASPy UES blond w/an office across from the Met in a neighborhood rancid w/sneering cosmetic surgeons like her. I've never experienced such a rude, hostile consult w/a medical professional as I did with Michelle Yagoda. From the beginning of the consult, the look on her face as I tried to summarize everything succinctly since I wanted to ask her questions was unwelcoming, but I persisted. I described what I had experienced based on my previous surgery/diagnosis and perhaps clumsy way and referred to other patients on her own site I thought were similar; soon enough she indicated I was ordering her around and "telling her what to do" - like a five year old, or a crazy person. That is a direct quote. I'd be paying someone tens of thousands of dollars and putting my life in their hands; isn't it my right to express preferences based on her apparent surgical techniques w/out a physician becoming belligerent? The entire time I was not only calm, but apologetic; she only got angrier w/attempts to describe them based on what other doctors had told me. Her final recommendations were simple crackpottery, IMO, spoken by someone who has not competent in cosmetic surgery and who is an ENT only (if that). I expected disappointment; I definitely didn't expect to sit for 30 minutes w/a fuming middle-aged toddler trying to summarize 5 years of a health problem post-surgery in all of 15-20 minutes. Her demeanor was uncalled for, to say the least. Perhaps I should have come w/my husband, if only as a witness. I'm sorry to say it makes a difference having a man in the room. I called & asked about her background first, sent info. Despite multiple reassurances from her staff she had prepared for my revision consult, she had NO idea why I was there. None. At the end of the appt, I attempted to ask questions re: testing I could get to at least get a doctor's diagnosis of what I was feeling as best I could after reiterating I was not challenging her, simply expressing what I understood based on what other surgeons and other physicians had said, and at this moment, she launched herself from the chair as if stuck by a pin, telling me she was no longer willing to talk to me,took my belongings off the hanger on the door - holding them out to me like something I had covered in feces - and kicked me out of her office. I'm not embellishing this. Other patients may have a different relationship (try to find a real review that isn't six years old...I now assume Dr. Yagoda has her medical licensure active primarily to serve on health insurance boards and do press interviews) but her behavior, the language she used, her tone, her reactions to simple questions, & her astoundingly rude dismissal are my personal experience. I even pushed away the fact she has no reviews here or anywhere else for the procedure I wanted more recent than 2013-16 at the time I booked the consult. Your mileage may vary but suffice it to say I personally would not recommend consulting Dr. Michelle Yagoda for ANY PROCEDURE, cosmetic or medical, permanent or temporary. I will refer you to her sniping at "Kathy F" below. Good Lord. A fittingly hideous, insidious response from someone I suspect is a hideous person/horrible physician. Wish I'd seen that before the consult. Also wish I had seen the "unrecommended reviews", which I trust a lot more than the mysteriously generic & similar happy reviews here. I went b/c at this stage, I'm pretty desperate and hopeless even for actionable information or someone I can ask questions. This behavior is all very rich from someone who has no authentic or substantive current word of mouth, reputation, or credible reviews in the NYC plastic surgery community. I've consulted multiple surgeons in New York who were dismissive, contemptuous, and whose websites misrepresented their expertise and capacity to inform patients, but I can definitively say this is probably one of my worst, most ridiculous experiences as a patient, short of the botching by the absolute cretin that left my nose in its current state. I paid someone a ridiculous fee for the experience I am describing above. Avoid.

Had a regrettable experience at NYCIVF. My experience with them last month showed that they were…read morenot fully transparent with the cost of treatments and insurance coverage. I was in the process of switching providers, and called them to confirm that my initial blood work that I've done in less than a year was valid. The front desk confirmed with the doctor that it WAS, but then when I visited the clinic the doctor kept PUSHING me to do blood work plus asked me to do additional tests. What was an even bigger issue was that I shared with the clinic my insurance details to check coverage and they quoted the initial consultation fee and that I was covered. It turns out that the entire egg freezing procedure was NOT covered by insurance. Why would I agree to do the consultation in the first place if the end procedure is not covered? They only mentioned AFTER the consultation they are out of network with ALL insurance providers (patients beware!) According to the DFS NY, Healthcare providers must tell consumers which health plans they are in-network with, and they did not disclose prior to the appointment. The fact that this clinic could not be fully transparent with patients at the get go is not a good practice.

I would not recommend Juvo's Breaking Barriers camp. It's more like 'breaking in new possible…read moreemployees at the expense of children with special needs' camp. Here are the highlights (or lowlights) as I saw them: * VERY strict drop off and pick up times, meaning you could not drop the kids of until 9 am on the dot. The behaviorists who ran the camp didn't care that we got there early and made the girls wait until 9 before dismissing me and even interacting with them. Clearly, not focused for people with disabilities who may have issues with time and waiting. One of my kids thought they were mad at her. *For a camp that is run by behaviorists who are supposed to monitor and help kids to deal with behaviors, I got zero feedback about what happened during camp on a daily basis. How can we work on behaviors (or praise good things) if we have no clue what is really happening? Even their website says they are communication focused with parents. * Age range: They claim the ages for camp were 5-18 years old. My kids were the only kids there above the age of 7 or 8. From what I cold tell, they did not gear any activities towards them (tweens) vs the younger ones. There were only 6-8 campers there, including the girls. The crafts were geared to the little ones as well. (I mean how much coloring, matchbox car racing and bracelet making can one do, regardless of age?) With a $50 activity fee per child, I would expect to have age-appropriate crafts and activities. * They were not prepared for inclement weather. * This is clearly a 'training' camp for behaviorists-in-training, which I was not told. Half the behaviorists were 'shadowing' others. Although I do not mind shadowing per se, I should have been advised in advance. Plus, I had no clue who was in charge to address any issues. * Their email communications were confusing, inaccurate (had to send multiple corrected directions) and still did not tell me who to talk to. After two days of a three day requirement, we decided not to return. As a matter of fact, one of my daughters refused to return, saying she was 'very, very sick' even though she was clearly not. And the camp staff never even called to check if we were coming when we didn't show up. That says a lot, doesn't it?

I am very disappointed in this company…read more My daughter works with a BCBA named Monica Piedrahita and has a 1:1 aide. My daughters things have been left out in the rain on purpose in response to behavior challenges, the BCBA is unsupportive, dismissive, and refuses to allow the 1:1 aide to accompany my daughter on school field trips so my daughter has missed all but one field trip since the school year began. The BCBA commits to preparing my daughter for field trips in IEP meetings then fails to follow through then when asked about it she acts like she doesn't remember. Today my daughter had to walk to the car with one shoe because they lost her other shoe ( both BCBA and aide were present at school today). I have had to rebuy shoes several times because the 1:1 leaves it all over the school. My daughter has had multiple aide's since the school year began some of which have called my daughter names like brat. Monica Piedrahita in IEP meetings does not advocate for my daughter she actually tries to do very little to support my daughter. There are many more issues. I am very disappointed in this company.
