I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dr. Nickel and his entire team. From the very beginning,…read moreDr. Nickel was an incredible communicator--personable, kind, and always willing to answer every single question I had. He made me feel comfortable and confident throughout my pregnancy, which is something I am beyond grateful for. When it came time for delivery, my baby had other plans and I ended up needing a C-section. Thankfully, Dr. Nickel had already taken the time to explain everything to me beforehand so that when the moment came, it wasn't scary or rushed. Because of his preparation and clear communication, my C-section went smoothly and I truly could not have asked for a better experience. Leading up to delivery & after delivery I appreciated his check ins, it was nice to see a friendly face around! The nurses and staff at his practice are also absolutely outstanding. They were so kind, attentive, and just wonderful to be around--it really makes all the difference. Nurses and doctors can truly make or break your experience, and I feel so lucky to have had such an amazing team by my side. Truly one of the best. I couldn't have asked for anything more. Dr. Nickel and the nurses made what could have been a stressful situation into something positive and reassuring, and I will always be thankful for the outstanding care I received. My experience since that first visit has stayed pretty consistent. I've seen four midwives so far,…read moreand all of them have been great. I prefer some over others, but that's just personal preference they've all been fantastic. The MAs are also good. There's one named Cali (not sure how it's spelled) who is a sweetheart--always friendly and someone I'm glad to see. The rest are nice as well. The main issue is the receptionist staff. Whenever I come in to check in, I walk up, say hello, and let them know I'm there for an appointment... and I get ignored for a while. After this happened multiple times, I started waiting for them to greet me or check me in, but that also takes a while. Most of the time they don't even look up at you while speaking. The front desk lacks basic customer service, tone of voice, friendliness, acknowledgment. Sometimes they sound monotone, sometimes there's attitude, and often there are long pauses where I'm left standing there unsure if I should sit down or stay put. One time I stood in front of a receptionist for a full two minutes before being acknowledged (the office was empty) A simple "I'll be with you in one moment" would go a long way if they're in the middle of something. I've worked front desk in medical practices myself, so I understand multitasking, switching between screens, verifying insurance, and dealing with difficult patients. I get it. But basic acknowledgment and courtesy should still be there.

I'm not sure if it's just coincidence but I'm always the only person in the waiting room before/after appointments. I feel like it adds to the privacy and also the feeling of individualized attention. Dr. Ross is my first experience with naturopathic medicine and I've been confident in it ever since. I struggle with a number of autonomic disorders and was sick of doctors pushing pill after pill on me. Always having to wean on and wean off heavy medications with terrible side effects. Always waiting forever for an appointment, only to barely be seen once the doctor is finally ready. Dr. Ross is very thorough, warm, and welcoming. I never feel judged by her and though the medicine is based on herbs in conjunction with behavioral changes, I don't feel like she's just some hipster pushing some old world nonsense on me. She provides me with the science and reasoning behind every suggestion/prescription. Her online portal is also very easy to work with. I use it to schedule appointments, view documents/visit summaries, and send messages to Dr. Ross for quick clarification or questions. Bonus: tons of free parking! I definitely recommend Dr. Ross, especially for those new to healing via naturopathic medicine!

When I moved cities halfway through my pregnancy, I struggled to find a reputable home birth provider that would take me as a transfer. Enter Wellspring. I am so grateful I took the leap of faith with Lizz and Elliott. They are down-to-earth, knowledgeable, and really came through for me as a patient when my baby experienced shoulder distocia during my home birth. I had the most beautiful home birth I could hope for (despite the hiccup), and absolutely have them in part to thank for it. In addition to that, their office is lovely & full of plants and toys. My 3 year old loved going to "the baby store" with me and playing with all their fun toys before listening to baby's heartbeat. Finally, they were very sympathetic to my challenging financial situation & were flexible with my payment plan. TL;DR : Yes, I recommend these great midwives.

We had an incredible experience with Wellspring Midwifery. I had recently had a missed miscarriage…read morewhen I came into their care with my second pregnancy. The midwifery clinic I was previously with for the first pregnancy , told me I could no longer work with them and did not give a reason. Valley medical midwives said they would not work with me because I am overweight and of advanced maternal age. The other midwives clinics in the area said they were full for my due date. Swedish midwives did not take my insurance. When I went to the obgyn, she made me feel like I was wasting her time and I felt rushed during a very tender time. I felt discouraged and decided to widen how far I was willing to travel for care. I reached out to Wellspring Midwifery, and they promptly set up a zoom call where I asked tons of questions, we discussed our experience and they shared info about their practice. I felt so relieved to find them during such a hard time, filled with fear and anxiety. Our first appointment was over an hour and Lizz made me feel so comfortable and heard. It was amazing, they even did Saturday appointments so we didn't have to miss work and the traffic was much better. I met Elliot a few appointments later and she was equally awesome to Lizz! Throughout the process, I had monthly appointments and additionally was able to call for questions or write them in the online portal and they would promptly respond. Later in my pregnancy, we made the informed decision that we would prefer to transfer my care to a hospital so that I could access an epidural during labor and knowing which hospital we were going to. Lizz and Elliot were supportive of this decision and helped with the transition of paperwork. They allowed me to stay on for postpartum care. I even called them during my labor when I was trying to make a decision. It was awesome to have the support of their postpartum care because my obgyn only scheduled me for 1 appointment at 8 weeks postpartum. Lizz and La-Kiesha (their midwifery student who joined many of my appointments) came into my home 2 days after my baby was born and did a visit where we talked about the baby, my husband and myself and did some checks on the baby and me. They also gave me breastfeeding support. I had multiple follow ups in office during the first 6 weeks postpartum. It was so helpful to get regular support throughout that period of time. I am forever grateful for my experience with Wellspring Midwifery and I highly recommend them for your prenatal and postpartum care.

Bottom line: Dara Jolly rocks. Just review your bills carefully, as the yin-yang of the world means that Dr. Jolly's awesomeness has to be balanced out somehow, such as in the billing department.

I will no longer return to this office due to the shoddy service received here. The doctor clearly overwhelms his schedule to the point patients wait 45-60 minutes past their scheduled time. He clearly wants people in and out as fast as possible. They will bill you through the roof, though, for the 10 minutes they see you. Office staff is also inexperienced, apathetic, and some of the billing managers are rude.
