I also inspected hospital systems, hospitals, clinics, and rehabilitation centers for Congress over two decades ago. Dr. Jatana is truly great from every perspective. He and his staff took time to assuage my concerns about a dual Cervical Disc replacement. I went from pain levels that almost left the 10 out of 10 scale to something between a zero and a one. His team meets every criterion of excellence in medicine. My anxiety level is usually very high when facing surgery - he and his team were a soothing balm that quelled that anxiety. Of all of the facilities I have seen, and surgeons who have performed surgery on me, NONE MATCH DR JATANA AND HIS TEAM FOR EXCELLENCE - NONE!

He told me that to help with my pain,  I would need some custom made orthotics, which sounded good $450 dollars,  they required a $100 deposit and I was told it would take a week to get them in.  I get it that with the way of the world right now everyone is a little behind. I never recieved a call from their office.  A month went by,  and my level of trust was failing.  I called them on Thursday 10/1 left a message,  never got a call back,  I called the next day twice,  until I actually spoke to someone Friday 10/2.  I was told that they were probably behind,  that they would be in the following week,  and that they would call me.  The following week came and went,  no phone call.  What I did get that week was a bill in the mail for $5 with regard that when they submitted for x-rays this was my portion. Well my trust in them was in a free fall.  Because of the pain and his assurance the orthotics would help I would give them until Friday of the next week, October16.  Two weeks later to contact me.  I had the weekend to look at my bill for $5 and no phone calls so Monday 10/19 I called there office,  at 11am and said that I was going to come in for my deposit back.  The girl told me that they close at noon for lunch, or I could come at 1pm when they reopen to pick it up, no apologizes, nothing.  I was at their office at 1pm, the girl let me in asked how she could help,  I told her I was the one that called about my deposit, she became extremely offensive,  and said that she could not authorize the refund,  the doctor was out,  that Mondays were his day off. I asked well if that were the case why did she not tell me that when I called at 11, why she told me to come at 1pm when they reopen from lunch.  I then said well if that were the case why she did not call me and save me a trip,  If the doctor was truely out.  She said that she called,  I said what number? She read of my number,  I pulled out my phone and said,  show me where you called,  I showed her where I called at 11am, but no calls from them.  She said well I called and left a message,  but never the less she could not authorize my refund.  At this point I was not happy but firm in that this was no way to conduct business,  she tried to make me feel like I was the bad guy, and how dare me question her.  At that moment,  I said call the doctor,  she refused stating it was his day off,  and he was not to be disturbed.  I then told her we have 2 choices,  either she call him,  or I would call the police to come to their office,  and they could call him.  I was not leaving without my refund after all they had put me through.  She went in the back came back out about 2 minutes later,  by this time she was Pissed Off and flustered.  She demanded,  I pay the $5 dollars from the insurance for the bill they sent me,  and she then reached into an envelope and handed me $95. Oh,  I forgot to mention I paid Cash for the deposit,  and on Sept 4th the day I paid the deposit they were not going to give me a receipt for the cash,  I had handed them,  I am so glad that at the time I requested a copy of the invoice,  and that it be marked paid deposit, in cash. I can only imagine what would have happened,  had I not had that little piece of paper.  Maybe no one else has had a situation like this with this organization,  but I know this is no way to treat anyone,  they must be making a lot of money,  so disorganized,  that they can loose a customer,  and then try and make them out to be the bad guy in the process. So BEWARE,  or GOOD LUCK,  if you choose to go here. I have to give them 1 start so I could post this review, not deserving of it. Note; I would have never even left a review, not something I do,   had it not been how badly I was treated.  It had to happen

His office staff is so inept at both locations that you should think twice before scheduling any kind of surgery especially any extraction like wisdom teeth. The staff did not clear with the doctor his availability to see me one day for an emergency tooth situation. When I arrived they told me the doctor would not see me even though all they had to do was have me sign papers and take a quick look at an extracted tooth site. It seemed more important to them that they close the office at noon on a Friday than help me in my obvious physical distress. And why would they schedule an appt. if the doctor would not complete it. i had to ask for even an apology after my long drive. His bedside manner is know-it-all and he refers to his female front office staff as "my girls". Apparently also a male chauvinist. He picks and chooses which questions to answer when discussing options. i decided to cancel my daughter's planned wisdom tooth removal in response to the red flags from my brief encounter. I worried that if there were a complication he or his untrained staff did not respond and take proper action or take responsibility since the doctors here do not even take time to train their staff. Then they chastise the patient for the staff's mistakes. Jane D.

But in my opinion the billing practices are very odd. And billing itself is a mess. I've had my share of injuries over the years that have required PT. This is the 4th PT office I've been to in the Denver Metro so I am no stranger to PT. This is the 1st time I've encountered an office where your appointment with your physical therapist can be shared with another patient. You do not necessarily get dedicated 1:1 time. The bills don't reflect this though. Same price for split focus. On top of that, you are line item billed for every single piece of equipment you touch. Or any work that is done to you. This is not explained in advance of your first visit. My past experiences have always been 1:1 time at a set price. My insurance has not changed across all the clinics I've been to. So, this is not a problem with my insurance. They also charge wildly more than I've ever personally experienced. One PT clinic I regularly went to didn't take insurance. And they charged less than Rocky Mountain Spine and Sport. After seeing my first bill in the mail I stopped going to this practice immediately. I paid my outstanding bills online, using the "Visit Us Online" instructions as per the bill. And 3 weeks later received the same bill with a warning that my account was delinquent and will be sent to collections. I called billing and it turns out that their payment instructions, or their website, or both, are incorrect. And I was tasked with calling a different office to get a refund and then call the billing department back to pay 'correctly'. I am essentially being tasked with fixing their mistake for them. I can't imagine how many patients the billing department is tasking with fixing the organization's mistake. Do. Not. Go. Here.
