Friendly staff and Dr. Meyers is a true professional…read more I came to the office for a follow up after being referred for an ankle fracture. Colorado Orthopedic Consultants in Aurora is an organized office. They sent me texts and emails prior to the appointment to get paperwork filled out. Once I arrived I had a short wait to see the doctor. His PA came in first and looked at my ankle and then I had X-rays done to check on status of fracture and healing. Dr. Meyers evaluated the X-rays and found my ankle was healing. All of the rooms I was in were clean and stocked with cleaning wipes. The office has a large area for physical therapy that I just saw. Be aware that parking is limited outside; there is a large parking garage that I ended up in since this office is adjacent to a hospital.

I met Dr DeLaRosa after months with a severe fracture to my humerus that was not healing. My…read moreprevious orthopedic surgeon had put me in a brace and said that it looked great every time I had an office visit and they took an x-ray and said to come back in another couple of weeks for another check up. My arm was NOT healing and the pain was unbearable and they didn't seem to even care. Dr. DeLaRosa immediately said he was very concerned on my first visit and ordered blood tests and took x-rays and told me that there is definitely something delaying the union of the bone and it was not okay to keep waiting. Within 2 weeks, we had performed surgery and my bone had been stuck in the muscle the whole time and was never going to heal without surgery. Dr DeLaRosa put in a plate and screws and the bone is literally in perfect alignment again! Today my arm is nearly back to full function and better every day! I cannot say enough about the quality of care from all of the staff from the front desk to the schedulers, the MA's and of course Dr DeLaRosa....everyone at OCC went above and beyond for my care and still does!

I schedule my next appointment for 7/26 for a procedure, I come in and pay my 35 dollar co-payment and have a seat. About 10 mins late a girl at the second window calls me up and says " I just called your insurance and you owe 360 today." Mind you I scheduled this appointment almost 2 months ago, and feel like this was something they should've have checked before my arrival. I asked the girl why did they wait so long to call and she then replied VERY RUDELY "it's your insurance and you should've known this!!" My copayment is what I was expecting, and to spring an almost 400 bill on someone the day of a procedure is unacceptable for any medical office. To TOP it off the person that was giving the information was ridiculous about the whole situation. I work in the medical(Parker Adventist), dental field and that is NOT okay on any level. People that come into your office I'm sure would appreciate knowing what the cost is days before and NOT the day of the procedure. Your Doctors are amazing at this office, but your front staff is extremely rude and unprofessional. I will NOT be back!

I said NO! I want to talk to the person with the knife in his hand. She looked again, and said 'his first appointment in Aurora is late October, he's only there 1 day a week'. I just said no thanks. I played golf today, and when I got home I called again, this time ready to go to Englewood to see the good doctor, the operator then said after a few pregnant minutes, 'the first opening he has is in November' to which I replied, 'he's not God, he's just a human, and if he's that busy, I don't want him cutting on my spine', goodbye. So, for me, it's a 'screw Dr.Pehler', far too busy, were he God, I'd wait, he's not. o

Dr Stephen Pehler is an excellent Dr & is his PA is outstanding as well…read more Please note that the Aurora office has numerous specialty Drs & these Drs rotate their days in the office to make room for patients & themselves. For example Dr Pehler might only be there on Wednesday, The foot person is there on Mondays, the neck person on Fridays, the arm person on Tuesdays, well you get the idea. So, when Dr Pehler is out of the office he is doing procedures at one of the two hospitals as does the other Drs on their days out of the office. If you want a Dr that is there 5 days a week, this is not for you nor are they a surgeon. That being said Dr Pehler was very kind, listened, made suggestions if surgery was not immediately necessary, but absolutely was there for you if surgery was needed. A excellent Dr & surgeon is hard to get an appointment with, if you want an a good Dr that has an immediate opening to see you then that's up to you. I prefer Excellance when it comes to my spine! God Bless you Dr Pehler, I'm so pleased that you are my spine guy!
