The employees here are only mildly condescending when you tell them you used to be a former CEO - standing over your shoulder - correcting your online resume and asking if you have any skills other than running a three hundred million dollar a year firm. But the line of people in here is the real reason to visit. Me? My olfactory sensitivity is set to high, so detecting such odors as curry, farts, mexican food, and garlic in high levels mystified me when I couldn't detect their benevolent hosts anywhere in line. Kudos to the employees here. I'm not sure I could handle smelling farts and body odor of this magnitude on a daily basis. I typically reserve that pleasure for Black Friday at the mall. Oh, and thanks for the unemployment checks. I put them to good use each week supporting our local Indian tribes since they do SO much for this great State.

If you apply here, be prepared for delays and inconsistent communication regarding job placement. Update 5-18-26: A day after leaving this review, I finally received a call after 3 weeks. I also received multiple emails asking me to share/rate the company before I had even been placed on a job or given a start date. Normally you'd expect that after actually getting work, not before the onboarding process is even complete.

My family's business had used Kelly Services for temps to hire before so I thought I would give them a try. I have never used an employment agency before. I went to the Glendale office and was assisted by Paloma P. I gave her a copy of my resume and she said although she didn't think she had anything which was currently a fit for my experience, she would send me an email with assessment and most likely call me in later that week for an interview. The next morning I finished the assessment and didn't hear anything back from Paloma at Kelly in Glendale. I let about a little over a week go by and then I placed a follow up call. I was told by another in the office that she was at lunch and could she help me. I explained to her that I had spoken with Paloma and completed the assessment but never heard back. The person told me she had been very busy, but she would forward my message and information and have her get back with me. That was several weeks ago and guess what? To this day I have received absolutely no return correspondence back. You could say, well they didn't have any jobs that fit your experience right now, and that could be true. But for me what it boils down to is common business and professional courtesy. With absolutely no return of contact or a return of my second contact, to totally be blown off is a pure lack of any courtesy or professionalism. As I stated at the beginning of my comments, one of the reason I made the trip to Kelly Services was because we had used them before to staff our business and had success. Maybe all Kelly Services offices do not extend the same non professional courtesy, but my experience with the Glendale office certainly was of that. One thing I always did and learned in business was even if you can't help someone out, at least have the courtesy to let them know whether you can help them or not. It is just being considerate of another human being.
