I've been working with Office Team since I graduated from college in January 2015, and they've always been very supportive and professional and matched me with great jobs. My first job was only 4 months, temporary, and I knew that going into it. It was a fine administrative job. Office Team then helped me find another job right after that so there would be no gaps in employment. I worked at a company in Downtown LA for about a month or two until I was converted to a permanent employee there. I stayed there for about a year but it ended up not being a great fit due to changes within the company and I had other career aspirations so I worked with Office Team again to find another job in the field I wanted to go into - education. They matched me quickly to a job in Glendale that I absolutely loved and stayed at for almost a year. I only left that job to go into the Peace Corps in Thailand for about a year. That ended abruptly due to a health and safety issue so I was back home in the States for good, and unexpectedly. I immediately knew that I wanted to go back to Office Team because of my success with them in the past. They're honestly the only staffing agency I've come across that is so quick, professional, and matches you with great jobs. I interviewed at the office in Downtown, but I was offered assignments at Pasadena. The process was pretty simple. The day after I applied, OfficeTeam called me and we had a little phone "interview" where they got to know me. After that, they asked me to complete 2 online tests, 1 Microsoft Word test and 1 Excel. I then came in for a scheduled interview where my staffing manager and I got to know each other better to get a perspective on what I want to do and how they would help. After that, I started getting calls for assignments. My first assignment wasn't the greatest experience. After that, I was very reluctant at accepting my 2nd assignment, but I am glad I did. I landed a permanent job during my 2nd assignment. I couldn't have been happier. To be honest, you have to understand what you are getting yourself into before you say anything bad about this company. This is a temp agency. They do their best at finding you a job based on your skills. You also have to have a likeable attitude if you want to be able to find work. Making good impressions and having a good attitude will get you far. Just have an open mind and try new things. You never know what may happen. Overall, my experience with OfficeTeam was great. Everything went smoothly and I never had a complaint. I mostly worked with Alice and she is as great as they get. She made me feel comfortable and was more of a friend to me than someone I knew just "professionally". It was very Unprofessional Service for me. I received a call close to 7pm regarding my resume and to call back if I was interested in an interview. Unfortunately I could not answer the call because I was driving, so I called the next morning and spoke to Deborah about hopefully finding work. There was no courtesy or professionalism in that short talk, once figuring out my name I was told "I'm going to have to call YOU back" and just hung up. I received no call back since then, and the way I was spoken too I knew I was not going to get the call back that was promised. After that ordeal, I do not wish to go through/work with a company that handles new customers that way. Beware! Beware! I am a Japanese/American male with management experience including building and running a call center for a start-up company and I am CURRENTLY working for the Pasadena branch. I applied/interviewed with Anna Rosenwasser where I explained to here that I was looking for a, "Temp to Hire" position and PERSONALLY HANDED her four letters of recommendations (all on each individual companies letter heads, all written for me by senior management or executives of those companies). I was placed on June 6, 2018 and am currently working as an assistant for a property manager (I told Anna that I have no experience in this field she assured me that I would be trained). On my FIRST DAY after lunch I asked Diane (the property manager) the location of the men's restroom? She replied, "make a right and go straight"(all the doors are plain white with no signs on them, except for the numbered tenant's rooms and a handicapped bathroom). When I asked her if it was the handicapped bathroom she snapped, "No! Did I say handicapped! Didn't you already use the bathroom today?!!" to which I replied, "no". DAY TWO Diane told me to get four keys from a rack of about 80 keys and place them with 20 other keys in a box. The keys were not on the rack but I did see them already in the box. When I pulled the keys she wanted from the box, she snapped, "not from there, put those back, what did I say?!! From the rack!!!" When I told her they weren't on the rack, she looked for herself, saw that they weren't on the rack and rummaged through the box where she found them. When I pointed out that she just picked up the same keys from the box that I did she shook her head saying "no, no, no" and walked away. TWO DAYS LATER, Anna asked me for references as she had LOST all four letters of recommendations(I obliged). I let her know what happened on my FIRST TWO DAYS to which she replied, "really? that doesn't sound like her". On Oct. 22, I receive a text from Kristina Eskander who says she works with Anna and has an opportunity for me. I call her on my lunch break at which time she tells me that it was a mistake and that there is no opportunity for me(REALLY!!!). It is now Nov. 30, I have been there for 6 days short of 6 months and it's still the same. I am still being treated terribly and when I tell Pasadena Office Team, they tell me that they understand it is rough and thank me for hanging in there. This is one of those staffing firms that will convince you to come in to their office, then wastes half your day with "tests" for jobs that don't exist. Is that what "Half" stands for?.... waste "Half" your day??? Or maybe "half" is "Half the going rate," because that it what many of their jobs pay. When I was new to IT, I might have fallen for this. But now that I've been working in the field for ten years, I've worked with a lot of agencies. Any agency that wants to meet you before sending you out on a technical interview with a client is a scam. They are just wasting your time. I really HATE businesses that take advantage of people who are looking for work. Taking advantage of people is crappy, and doing it when they are vulnerable is even worse. read more

I had heard good things about agency so I was shocked at the way I was treated. I registered online & filled out a few questionnaires, and I applied to a position they had posted on their website. I then went down to their office to see if they had any more listings there that weren't yet online. I was told by the "receptionist" that I needed an appointment. So I asked her if I could make an appointment and she said no because the two staff members who conduct the appointments are on their phones, so she can't access their schedules. Which seems ridiculous to me. No offer to call me to set something up so I told her I would call later to make an appointment. I called later and I was first hung up on. I called again & was told the same thing, no appointment. I called back a third time and yet again, I still wasn't able to make an appointment, but she would put me through to someone's voicemail to leave a message, and then they would call me back. No return phone call. I then call up again the next day. I get throught to someone to make an appointment. She asked what my name was, no joke, 4 attempts at me spelling my name with the phonetic alphabet for her to get it right. Ok I have a Scottish accent but its not that bad. So then we had a quick conversation, which concluded with me being told that they wouldn't try finding me work because I'm not American and have no experience in an "American" office. Excuse me but I think that's slightly racist. & office experience is office experience, no matter where it is. I honestly would not waste time dealing with this employment agency when there are several others located in the Los Angeles area that are much, much better. Here is the reason why I am giving them 2 stars. Pros: I found the office team to be courteous and semi-professional. Cons: They don't actually do what they are advertised for. I went in for an interview (after applying for a job online) and I was told what a great candidate I was and how easy it would be to find me a permanent position. Not once during the interview did we talk about the actual job I had applied for, which later led me to believe that it was a false advertisement, a way to bring people in. After the meeting I was told that they would keep in touch. I never, ever heard back from them again. Countless attempts to get answers about employment were unsuccessful. Of course I did not put all of my eggs in one basket and I was continuing my job search on my own. But I was foolish enough to think that being signed up with this agency would give me a leg up on my job hunt. ****PLEASE, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. All these people care about is getting you in for an interview, getting you into their system, and getting a hold of your references so they can call and bug the crap out of them. While searching for a new jobs on random job search engines, I came across a billions staffing agencies. And figured why not give it a try. I filled out the Office Team online applications. And within 2 hours, I got a phone call, for me to go in for a job interview as soon as the day after. I went in, gave them the paperwork that they needed. Did some computer test as requested. There was a mix of test that I took, typing, math, English, etc. I waited about 15 minutes, until I was called in to met with Greg Symons. He seem nice and friendly, got to the point with my resume, asked about my availabilities, went over my test scores. Overall to me, I thought it went well, but I guess not. For about 2 months now, since I went interview with Greg. I have not hear back from Greg. I called and email, NOTHING. To me, it is a bit upsetting, he kind of got my hopes up by telling me that he had some possible position opens that would fit me. But I guess not since I never heard back from him or anyone at all. I wouldn't suggest for anyone to waste their time with Office Team. After speaking to a friend, I found out the same thing happened to her as well. Office Team, this is totally not cool at all! Very unprofessional service and office. I was offered 2 jobs with them and the agency have "terminated" me both times and I think the agency made several excuses. This is a very confusing matter, so I can't go through the full details about both instances. All I can say is that the process is very rushed, even speaking with them is not thorough as it should be. They lack management skills and basic professionalism. The Office Team staff, especially Meloni, have been really brilliant with me. An opportunity presented itself for me to have an interview with Meloni. After my initial phone conversation with her, she informed me that an interview could be set up within the next couple of days as long as I had signed up to the website, completed the assessment testing and brought along the documents that were required of me to complete registration. She also requested that I dress in professional business attire, to which I obliged. Upon having my interview, she gave really good constructive feedback about my resume and interview style. She also informed me about what potential employers would be looking for in a temporary employee, which made me feel like she actually cared about my welfare once I got out there to represent myself and Office Team. Here's the best bit: By the time my interview was over, I had been offered an assignment right there and then and was at that assignment within a few days! My assignment also ended up going from just a few days to over a month long and when the assignment was coming to an end, Meloni was at it again lining up other opportunities for me. Bottom line; I would recommend this company if you are serious about putting your best foot forward, being friendly, yet professional, and getting stuck into whatever job that you are sent to, even if it's only for a couple of days. So I've been signed up with office team since September 2014, however up until now, I hadn't really been able to pursue jobs because of my full time schedule with school. I would only do day jobs here and there. Recently I parted ways from living and depending on my mother and got my own apartment, the transition is stressful trying to find a job to be ready for the 3rd months rent and so on etc. Because I am now taking online classes i wanted to give this office-team thing a better try and see if I can get some work until I find something I like, that can pay the bills. (FYI I am a communications/film/TV production major.) When I called to speak to someone about work GARVEY FOSTER called me back. We spoke about my resume, and from the beginning he was cool, down to earth, and ready to figure out how to properly place me somewhere Id feel comfortable. He had noticed on my resume that I was in a program that he knew about concerning film/TV production, and what I can honestly just say is that I believe God had used Garvey, someone with a heart willing to care enough, to place me on a job that could not only boost my confidence and experience in administrative work but to put me in an atmosphere I ultimately want to be in. Garvey is sweet, personable, prompt, and not only does he look out for you he knows by your personality how to fit you into a position where you feel right at home at the company even if it is just for only a moment. He's always keeping in touch with me and following up to make sure I'm good on the job and telling me about new projects. I feel more like he's a big brother than someone whom I'm hoping can get back to me about temp work. He has definitely taken a lot of stress off me, so I highly recommend signing up with office-team and connecting with ya boy Garvey. Hes dope! OH and his assistant Valerie is awesome too. These guys were extremely helpful in finding me work. I was looking for experience in the accounting field since I hadn't obtained any after graduation. Evelyn, Kristina, and Jason had me going on interviews and getting work very quickly. They were very meticulous and accommodating when finding work that is tailored for your preference and experience. I ended up getting a job offer from an external source but I never would've gained the proper experience without them. As a singer and actress my schedule varies from day to day, and the staff and clientele have been very helpful. I've been working closely with Meme & Christine and they have been so helpful getting me work. In addition, they have had the sweetest spirits while doing so. Its hard to find nice people who truly want to help and I have found that here at Robert Half. The only thing they expect is that you be there when you say you will be there, your word is everything! To a supposedly informal face-to-face meeting on short notice with the overpaid temp agency rep?!? Most of the people looking for temp work cannot AFFORD a suit.
