I've waited a long time to write this, mostly because it makes me shudder to think about what I went through with this agency. I am *very* relieved to see that I'm not the only one who had a poor experience. Let me start out, like many other reviewers, by conceding that I had high hopes at the start of my time with OfficeTeam's Westwood office. Specifically, I greatly enjoyed working with Emily Corken (who's since been promoted, I believe), because she was the one staff member who initially exuded authentic concern when I started looking for jobs. I did well on the software tests and stated at the beginning that I wanted to find a permanent position in entertainment. OfficeTeam made it sound like my goal would not be a problem for someone like myself who had a bachelor's degree and previous admin work under my belt. I found all of the other staff members (including the receptionist) disingenuous and/or two-faced. If I hadn't been so desperate that summer (I had just returned home from a long backpacking trip and needed to start working immediately), I would have probably passed and kept looking via other agencies -- or directly applied to full-time jobs the normal way. Unfortunately, I think I was a prime target for OfficeTeam: since they underpay and demonstrate lackluster communication (on a good day), desperate job-seekers make their sad mediocrity easy. As others have said, I realized quickly that to OfficeTeam I was merely a means to an end instead of an actual person. The first 8 months wherein I was an active "candidate" went rather well in that I didn't go a day without work, but none of my "temp to perm" jobs ever became permanent. My first temp assignment was a toxic, hellish position that overworked and underpaid me in ways that -- once again -- I wouldn't have tolerated had I not been in a rocky period of life. That first assignment lasted about 3 months, and it was clear that the client company did NOT intend to hire someone as a permanent employee. I was so stressed having to work 2-3 peoples' worth of job duties in a petty environment that felt like high school! (It's important to note that, although client companies pay through the nose for temps, they *save* a lot of money because they don't have to worry about paying a temporary employee benefits or a livable salary...so, in my opinion, the client companies that take offense to the idea of permanently hiring someone are just as malicious as OfficeTeam's empty promises.) Also, none of my assignments were at legit entertainment companies because they just don't have a decent client pool to choose from. I WONDER WHY THAT IS. It was glaringly obvious to me that there was a common denominator between the companies for whom I worked: they were all unprofessional, disturbing, questionably managed/staffed, and seemed to treat people like robots or dirt. I was so preoccupied with trying to pay my rent and bills that I didn't have much time to search for jobs directly, and the "assignments" I was given were never supposed to reap long-term success. Everyone at OfficeTeam and "client companies" seems to be in on this, but naive/willing job-seekers don't have the time or money (or ability) to walk away. Long(er) story short, after I left my last assignment months later and tried to follow-up, OfficeTeam never gave me the time of day again. OVERNIGHT, I went from having a working rapport with OfficeTeam's staff to being turned away and even scolded when I called. They had gotten their fill of commission and wiped their hands of me when they were done. I was and am appalled by their cold unprofessionalism. I had to scramble and sign with a few more agencies at that point because I couldn't make ends meet and they had strung me along. I don't know what kind of shit goes on behind the scenes in their very shiny and corporate office, but it's amazing to me that they shuffle in/out a bunch of qualified job seekers as if they're pieces of livestock. People are fucking struggling to get by even if they went to college! Shouldn't that matter to a place that claims to want to place people in jobs? It took me a while to get back on my feet, but I eventually did by directly applying and getting hired by a law firm. I am so sorry to everyone who has gotten massively screwed by OfficeTeam and other monstrous "job agencies." I would be willing to start a forum or get coffee and establish new friend/support groups with people who've suffered through similar stuff, haha. What a joke. Anyway, TLDR...get the hell out while you can. Be kind to people. Try your best to find a job the "regular" way. And thanks, OfficeTeam (and your little band of minion trolls), for wasting a year of my life!!!1! :) :) :) Lesson learned... read more

After applying with several agencies, creative circle has been the ONLY agency to come thru and thru. Jordan at the WLA office has done an outstanding job, wasting no time going to bat for me. For the first year I was with them they placed me quickly (once for almost a year in a temp role with no raise or offer). After the first year they have sent me out on a few gigs here and there. Despite having 3 year admin/coordinator experiences Master Degree and speak 3 languages they don't submit qualified candidates to specific roles and play lots of behind door politics. If you are fresh out of school and looking for a foot in the door or are new to this office they will treat you right. After that if they see you don't get an offer they discard you and more on to the next and stop responding to your submissions. The pick and choose favorites and empower very little of there candidates with skills or insight to move along. It's a working relationship you have to almost beg to continue. I drove down one time to hand them over a badge for temp assignment I was on and they called out there whole department to "look" at me like some attraction to see "sane" or something. Since then I was placed by other parts of company but not by this branch ever again. I have been with different agencies and branches within RH and I have to say this OfficeTeam in west-wood is the worse one and seems to have a diversity issue with there staffing team and people they send out. I recommend them if you are new and need to earn income after you worn out your initial staffing they don't care very much about staffing you if you don't meet some kind of image they have and I would gladly talk to senior level management about this issue. BE WARNED! read more

I can't speak for the entire agency but I know for a fact that Cristina Donofrio knows what she is doing and she is here to help! From the beginning Cristina had a sincere interest in my career interests and goals and she wanted me to succeed. She helped set up my profile and conducted a Skype interview so quickly that I was already being submitted for jobs in a short amount of time. I had joined another staffing agency where it felt like I was having to do all of the work and was even having to call them to ask if there was anything I could be submitted for but Cristina made sure to keep an eye out for me and to let me know what was coming up. I was looking for a more steady job and not so much freelance work from agency to agency and she was able to find something that worked out perfect for me! Thank you for helping me get placed Cristina! read more

I am not very happy with what I've got from the OfficeTeam. I have been with them since early 2014 and all I got from them was renewing my applications (including the references). The only job I had received was a 1-day false advertising job. The job was supposedly to be the customer service but it turned out to be the salesperson (passed out the flyer & had people to join the app). It got me very frustrated. I emailed to their associate for the complaint but I still haven't had chances for an interview. Well...maybe only once an year...heard nothing back anymore. And now asking me to resend my references and REDO the assessment tests just because I got very nice jobs from somewhere else!! I asked them why can't they just set me an interview with the client first cuz if the client likes me and asks for my references, they can use my same references. Otherwise, I can send them later. Plus it's been many years since 2014 and I still have never received any job from them yet except that "false advertising job" in 2015. How can I guarantee this Westwood Office Team will get me a new job once I send them my updated references and spend the add'l hours to complete the assessment tests? And when I was reached out by them recently, they said the old references need to be updated. Yes, but for what?! My profile has been updated in 2015 AND I never got the job from them. I also constantly emailed them for the jobs I've applied to on their website. All the emails I've received from them was something that's unrelated to my expertise or the job I've applied to is been filled / NOTHING!! Besides this, I still keep in touch with my old colleagues in Entertainment. No matter what, you might get a new job from your old colleagues or via any kind of the connection. And thru my working experiences with other agencies, they didn't even request my references until the client was about to hire me and requested it afterwards. I don't know why this officeteam needs these references so up-to-date immediately? To promote themselves and get more clients? I feel officeteam only prefers to keep their applicants' database & references updated for something else and provides these hard-to-get Entertainment jobs only to the certain people. Anyway, instead of wasting the time, I decide to move on. There are other very good job agencies or links to connect with. There is no point for redoing the same thing over and over in the same place without any achievements. read more

Looking for a job can be frustrating, especially as a new professional or someone new to the area. I've worked with both Lisa and Cristina, and they've both been super helpful. It's reassuring to know that you have an extra set of eyes (or two) on the job hunt with you. Not only that, but they help prep you for interviews, providing you with information that helps you with talking points for the interview. Obviously, you can't just sit back and expect them to hand you a job, so sometimes it takes searching for jobs as well and sending them over, but if you put in your time as well as working with them, it aids so much in the job search. Overall, a great experience working with these ladies and I appreciate all their help so much! read more

Just wanted to take a few minutes and express my appreciation to Robert Half and their Salaried Professional Services division. I had previously worked through them at various companies as a temp-to-hire, but SPS is different. I am actually working as a RH employee. Once the assignment is completed, I move on to the next, which gives continuity to my services; they don't lose an asset to their candidate pool, and the client understands I am there just for the duration of the assignment. I was brought to the program through Eric Dandridge at the Westwood office, who has been terrific to work with, as have all the staff. They are very supportive and, as a previous reviewer said, diligent in finding the right match. Lots of people have skills but finding the right personality for a particular company is a key point, both for the client and the candidate as well. I would highly recommend the SPS program. read more

I had a great experience with the team at Office Team. I'm not sure what branch in Los Angeles I worked with, but overall, I got calls every day for work and they targeted positions I mentioned I'd be interested in. I had very pleasant conversations with Emily, Samantha and Ariana. I know I spoke with additional people, but they were all friendly and helpful. It changed my mind about working with temp agencies in general. I found the current job I'm with on my own, but they set me up with quite a few jobs I would have taken had I not landed the one I'm at. I recommend giving them a chance and they will help you! read more

The representative was very rude and unprofessional when called me. I applied for a position from indeed. I wasn't interested to that position anymore because i realized i was overqualified for the position and kept telling her. She kept telling me I don't meet the basic qualifications??!! She didn't even have the ability to listen to me and process the information. Felt like she took it very personal. read more

I dealt with Rachel out of the Woodland Hills office. First you are required to pay 15 dollars parking to meet with them for 10 minutes. Second after meeting with Rachel Carlatt, I was told that I would receive an email directing me to take some assessments. I never received the email and I contacted the office twice and each time was told that I would receive the email by someone other than Rachel who was conveniently busy each time I attempted to reach her. Finally I chatted online and expressed my disappointment. I was assured that the problem would be resolved and that was two weeks ago. This is a Mickey Mouse operation. Worst temp agency I've ever dealt with. My email is yadel0322@gmail.com I am hoping that there are some professionals at this company who take pride in their job and will do something about this. I am not in San Francisco as it states. read more

As a former Creative Group contractor, I must say how appreciative I am of the services provided to me. Particularly, the service and professionalism provided directly to me by my great handler, Elaine Buhler. By far, Elaine Buhler is the BEST handler I've ever had the pleasure of working with, in all the years I've worked with so many other agencies. Elaine truly concerned herself with placing me with the "right-fit" company, making certain that she first assessed my skill sets against the company's needs. She had me understand that it's not always whether the candidate is a great fit for the company, but also if the company is a great fit for the candidate. Elaine was extremely responsive to all my inquiries, and when she wasn't able to get to me right away, I had the help of another great handler, Yvette Corradini. With both of these ladies in my corner, I knew I was in great hands. Elaine placed me in a company that worked well for me, two years later, I'm still with that company, working as a full-time, permanent employee. I cannot say enough great things about Elaine Buhler, only that she's a great asset to The Creative Group umbrella. read more

I went on my first assignment and it was the best experience! It was exactly what it was described to be. It is so easy to not feel like just another number at a Staffing Agency. From the initial call until the end of the assignment, they kept in touch to ensure I was being treated good and that I was doing ok. They are making every effort to get me the next great assignment. I really appreciate Brianna and everyone at RH. read more

I have had an excellent experience with this company. They got me my a job in about 48 hours from my initial interview that led to a full time offer in less than 3 months. I felt they were highly invested in my success in my current role, and very communicative throughout the process. They regularly called to check in with me and ask how my assignment was going. I only wish I had called them earlier in my job search. I highly recommend working with Office Team/Robert Half. read more

My experience with OfficeTeam Westwood was exceptional from start to finish. I submitted my resume for a few EA jobs they had advertised and within a few days got a call and was scheduled for an initial screening/interview. I met with Doree and Kayla initially who were both fantastic, super friendly and recommended a few positions they were working on as a possible match. I got the impression immediately that they genuinely cared about helping me find a good fit and gave me confidence in working with OfficeTeam for my employment needs. A day or two later I was scheduled for 2 interviews with different companies, both of which were in my field and closely matched my background, experience, and salary requirements. Kayla lead the charge on these two assignments and was super helpful, communicative and professional about the positions and what to generally expect going into the interview. Within the same week as interviewing I was hired by one of the companies that I interviewed with and to top it off it was a direct hire position.....mission accomplished. Not to say this is how it will turn out for everyone in terms of how quickly you can be placed, but if you are willing to hit the ground running and get out to interviews, I have every confidence OfficeTeam Westwood does everything in their power to get you in the door with a good opportunity. Thank you so much Kayla and company, I sincerely appreciate all the hard work you put in to make my job search a breeze. read more

Both recruiters that helped me (Reid Gormly and Catherine Hamilton) were absolutely excellent. I have never used a recruiting service before but became interested after my Fiance was able to get a new job in about 2 weeks from first speaking with her recruiter (Philip Cohen) to signing the offer letter. I thought "might as well give it a shot", I had a specific set of requirements and restrictions and they not only found a position that met all my needs but they did it in record time (3 weeks). The only thing I had to do was show up for the interviews and sign the offer letter! Really cannot thank Reid and Catherine enough, if I am ever looking for work again in the future they will be my first stop. read more

I agree with Rd this agency is useless. I went through an extensive process of signing up, filling out pages and pages of forms. I even had a FaceTime interview with someone named Jacklyn. I have three college degrees and over 30 years in the medical field. They have never sent me on one interview. They have never responded when I applied for jobs on their site. I have been on around 40 interviews all that I arranged on my own. I even found a temp job for a month also on my own. I actually have an interview lined up through another agency so I AM employable. When I was much younger I got a lot of great jobs through a medical agency but no longer. All these agencies seem to be the same these days. Either inept or completely full of BS. Or perhaps it is my age which of course is discrimination. Totally dissatisfied. read more

So I know some people who have been placed here and I don't even get calls returned. Yet I still receive their mass emails. OfficeTeam is a useless agency. They will only call you if they want to obtain your current employer references or most recent one for their purpose - which is to solicit for new business. I had been in L. A. ~3 months when I submitted my resume on a Friday afternoon to an online ad for Executive Assistants. In less than two hours later, Office Team Westwood called me to schedule a time for an interview. A few days later, Office Team - DWTNLA sent me on an assignment that lasted 6 months. The company was interested in hiring me after two weeks but I decided the industry was not for me. A couple weeks later, Office Team - Woodland Hills sent me to another assignment that lasted 5 months. I still keep in contact with people from both companies. Although the assignments and pay scales have varied, the companies in which Office Team assigned me to were very professional, congenial and located in communities easily accessible by vehicle or public transit. That was 5 years ago! Office Team-Westwood (and LAX, El Segundo, DWTNLA and Woodland Hills) worked together to send me on assignments that suited my personality, pay scale, location as well as industry until one was found that I felt was agreeable to me. I have recommended another friend to Office Team and she was hired by the companies she was assigned. And I would definitely refer this employment agency again and again! Queen A read more

I'm on the fence about this agency. I've heard all of the horrible things correlated with staffing agencies, but decided to give them a chance anyway. Sadly, most of what I heard turned out to be true. They hardly ever contacted me and when they did, the compensation was unacceptable (ie. very low). Worked for Accountemps off an on for about 10 years now and they have really gone downhill lately. As an experienced accountant (Big Four 5+yrs) I was surprised at how many $12 to $15hr jobs they were emailing to me to check out. I would have to sleep on a park bench to make it on that salary. At one company, the Controller asked if I could help out with several packages that needed to get to Fed Ex. On a Friday after work, I slogged through about an hour and a half of traffic each way to mail off their packages. Got home and found that I had been cut from the position. Accountemps staff said that I had to work with the company to get paid for my time, after it became clear neither party was planning on paying I reported them to the labor board. Found another firm Ajilon Staffing and had a better experience. read more

Jillian helped me find a job awhile back that was a great fit for me. It led to many other opportunities, as well as some work I'm happy to show. Prior to our first meeting, I was a bit apprehensive about sitting down with another head hunter and doing the whole meet and greet thing bc that too often goes nowhere and can be a huge time suck. She was so charming and enjoyable to chat with that afterwards I was glad I went in to talk, even if nothing came of it. But within 2 weeks, she found me something that matched most of what I was aiming for. It's been awhile since then, but still thankful for all of Jillian's help. Have worked with the SF office, and they were also helpful. Dane went out of his way to help me resolve a payment issue. After working with more employment agencies, I'd recommend the Creative Group if you're looking for an agency in the area. read more

Like many of the reviewers, I came to LA and needed work. I had signed up with several different agencies, and got a job last October through Adecco (definitely recommend them over OT!). After this job, I met with Office Team. My first meeting with Stephanie went well, and I met a couple of the others who work as a team to get you work. Well, this team only got me two interviews. One I didn't get,and the other I did, and I've now finished this position. Before I roll right into the bad, let me start with the good. They are semi-responsive, and their payroll is on the ball. I got paid the same day of every week. The only other good thing I can say about them is that they actually got me a job, which I can't say about the other five or six agencies I signed up with. Anyway, on to the bad. Office Team GROSSLY underpays. My partner works for an IT staffing agency, and yes I know IT pays way more than admin work, but OT legitimately underpays. Not only do they underpay you, but they charge the company employing you DOUBLE (if not more) what you earn per hour. So they're making bank off of you barely being able to pay rent. Additionally, when they send you on an interview, they will say, "Oh, I can market you to them for about $14-15 an hour." But then, if and when you get the job, they pay you $13.25. So, basically, you are paying me what someone just out of high school is making, and charging the client what I should actually be making? Classy move, Office Team! This also makes them SUPER annoyed and VERY nasty if/when you call out one day. A day of you not working is a day they're not making $106 off of you! However, the one thing about OT (and most other agencies), a lot of their jobs go perm after 3-4 months of temping. When you go perm, you normally make more. So, yeah, there's that silver lining. That is, if you get to go perm. My other problem with OT... false hope! They told me this position would go perm, and the normal temp period is 3, maybe 4, months. OK, I thought 3 month of shitty pay isn't too bad. I can get by til I go perm. Right? Wrong! Because I never went perm, nor was I ever going to! After three months, they lied and said I would go perm. Constantly telling me I would go perm, I just have to give it time. I finally sat with my manager, and I asked her straight up, "Am I ever going to go permanent?" Thank god for her and her honesty, or I would still be a temp. The answer was a big NO, and she encouraged me to look for something else because she didn't want me to stay here and struggle. They act like they are on your side, like they are helping you and want you to succeed, but they only care about the profit margin. I can totally appreciate that, as every company wants to make money, but they're just greedy about it. Oh, and they never call you, except once (maybe twice) to "check in" and see how it's going. And when you call them, the receptionists at their office are total a-holes. They pick up the phone nastily. When you ask for the recruiter, or whomever, they say "What is this about?" or they just put you on hold and transfer you to a voicemail. I'm giving them two stars for my pros about them- on time payroll, semi-responsive, and they got me a job. Besides those, I recommend going with Adecco, Ajilon, or Kelly Services. They will pay you WAY better, and get you a job you probably like. read more

My experience with this Westwood office was amazing. I moved to the LA area and they placed me almost immediately. I completed three assignments with them and they really did a great job of understanding my skills and goals to help place me at the right companies. I highly recommend working with them if you are looking at staffing agencies. I also appreciated that they would check in from time to time, just to see how things were going. I never had any issues with payroll or anything else that may cause a headache. I ended up working on the other side, needing to hire temporary employees for my company once I found my permanent position and I would highly recommend them to organizations that need to utilize temporary employees as well. Though I wasn't able to work with this agency specifically on that side, I absolutely would have reached out to them if my company was in the area. Their kindness, professionalism and responsive put them at the top of the pack! read more

I could not have been happier with the service that this Office Team branch supplied to me. I've tried getting work through a few other staffing agencies and it was me who had to do most of the work in reaching out to them, checking if anything had come up, and really having to constantly go after them just to get any position updates or info on new positions. I sent in my information to Office Team and if i recall correctly, they got back to me within 48 hours to do an informal over the phone interview to learn a little bit more about me, my background, what I want to do, location preferences, etc. And I think within that same phone call Kayla mentioned a few positions that she might have available right now for me. I think within another 48 hours they setup a video chat interview again to learn a bit more about me, discuss some possible positions, and just to give me a meet and greet/overview of how they operated on their end. She got me an interview within about 2 weeks and helped me get a position at a company which I stayed out the duration of my 1 year contract, and I loved it there. Not only did they get me into a position quicker than some agencies even called me for the first time, Kayla and Sheena made sure to check on me monthly to make sure I was doing well, get status updates, etc. I was so confused the first couple times I thought I was going to get fired or something had gone wrong. I had just never had such great customer support with a staffing agency and it made me feel like they truly cared about my well being and that I was doing well within the company in which they placed me. And to top it all of, the lovely Sheena came by my office around my last day to meet me in person and brought me a celebratory tin of cookies!! I was so caught off guard I thought again...am I in trouble or am I in the Twilight Zone? What's going on here? Their level of customer service and dedication to getting people into a position that they'll enjoy, short term or long term, is just something that seems a rarity nowadays. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this team. From start to finish they took care of me with the utmost level of professionalism. I would 100% recommend their services to a friend, and if needed I would gladly come back to this team for assistance. Thank you guys for everything!! read more

I will say that I actually did get placed for employment by this agency, so they have that going for them. They do actually place people. However, I was led to believe that my assignment was temp to hire. After a few months of my assignment, I officially inquired about being hired on permanently. Oddly enough I was scolded by being called on my vacation and told not to discuss such things with other employees. I was also told that the company wasn't looking to hire anyone, so I quit. Now that I'm no longer an employee it's impossible to get an email returned. I did have a bit of back and forth over my last paycheck due to my leaving early on my last day. Besides that my reputation was stellar. It's somewhat of a comfort to know I'm not a unique case after reading other reviews. read more

Leaves a bad taste in my mouth. They used to call me often, only got sent on 1 interview and nothing afterwards. I have a strong resume, NO employment gaps, and did very well in their testing. But then I read all these reviews of people getting placed quickly, couldn't find a job but now all of the sudden have luck, etc. I'm sorry, I can't connect with other people's positive experiences. I'll update this if something changes, but for now, they're like any typical staffing agencies in LA. read more

OfficeTeam is good to an extent, but frankly, I've found that their staff in this office cares more about their clients than they do about temps, and some have attitudes. There have been times where attempts to reach someone about potential jobs have been fruitless, and they seem to focus on a temp's negative traits rather than positives. I wouldn't say stay away as your mileage may vary, but they are just like any other temp agency - they just care about making commissions and will only care about you when it's convenient for them. Staff at other offices around the LA around have been a bit better. read more

Recruiter called me when I was on a temp job at another company. Two weeks later, after the job concluded, I called them again, only to have the receptionist tell me that the recruiter was fired from Robert Half. So, I was connected to her supervisor. We made an appointment so I could come in and talk to him about my career path and possible permanent jobs they could get for me. He cancelled the appointment twice before I actually came in. When I finally did come for the appointment, we sat down, he let out a sigh, and said "Gotta be honest with ya man, I don't think we can find anything for you." Woulda been nice if you'd just told me that over the phone, since you had my resume and online application already (filled out and uploaded on their awful, pre-Y2K website). Then, I went to another agency closer to where I live on a Friday. By Monday, I had an interview and by Tuesday, I had a job. Will I ever use Robert Half again? Uh, I think not. Update: There's this dude named Igor Stark from Robert Half who has reached out to me umpteen times with job openings, and also a chick named Lia Avenissian (I think that's her last name) who emails me constantly too. I actually got an interview out of ONE of their many openings and it was a pretty dumb interview. The interviewer was like 70 years old and definitely should be retired by now. Never heard back about it but since I wrote the original review above I've had 3 amazing long-term temp jobs...all from Accounting Principals and Ledgent, two of Robert Half's biggest competitors. read more

Accountemps is ideal for young professionals entering into the workforce or for those who have been laid off. Most of the assignments are $12-15 temp pay, which is a lot better than minimum wage (for college graduates). For experienced professionals, a temp agency probably wouldn't be ideal if they're used to a high salary. The agency usually find their clients employment fairly quickly. They call regularly seeking consent to submit a person's resume to employers. Ultimately, the employer decides on the candidates they hire for the assignment. Many of the assignments are for small companies that do not advertise on Indeed.com around the Los Angeles area. The cons are the benefits, but again it's a temp agency. The greatest benefit (at least for myself) is the job experience. read more

Worst place ever . Was placed in a job that got rid of me because they were discriminating against me, not because of my work performance. Which, was "excellent" according to my manager. Then the next day I get a call from the temp saying I was let go due to "other reasons". Yeah right, other reasons meaning people that don't like me and others not getting alone with "minorities". The name of the company is "macerich" beware and stay away from Robert half at all cost! They do not look out for the "temp" they look out for the client and you will be replaced and a heartbeat ! read more

I have had a great experience with Robert Half, especially with Peter. During the interview process and even after the interview process, Peter was very informative with questions and concerns, he also kept a constant contact in every steps of the way. Over all it was great working with Peter and his team, thank you for helping me find a great environment to work in and I could not be happier with my current job position. read more
