After 3 times receiving minus service from Robert Dyas Gracechurch, I have to write this review.
This store located perhaps in the most strategic location ever, compared by other Robert Dyas store. Right in the middle of City. No wonder it is busy during lunch time, and seems to have more staffs than others.
I had been buying there in the last 2 years, until today, when I bought a waterfilter jug. Only 1 left with dusty battered box. I asked if they had anything better, they said no. Soon after I paid, 2-3 new boxes already filled the space.
I asked to replace and the assistant arrogantly tried to convince me to accept the dusty box. She did replace it, with insulting words: "I don't understand people!" I said "Have a nice weekend," and left the store.
The same shop assistant who last year told me, "Well, if it is not there, it is not there."
Once I asked if they had any more hanger, another shop assistant just said no. Luckily another which I asked a minute later, had initiative to check the stock backstore and found some.
When asked if a lamp is white or yellow, any way to verify it, a shop assistant just laughed, suggesting B&Q.
I just returned the water filter after work to another branch nearby, and promised to never buy anything from Robert Dyas again. If you're stuck at City to buy hardware from Robert Dyas, just go to the one at Queen Street instead, or that at Chancery Lane. Much better. read more
