I have been extremely disappointed in using Robert C. White and Company as a property management company. We were always renting our home in a deficit because the company never did a proper market analysis to give a fair rent value. Even after I voiced my concern with the renewal of the lease, this still was not completed. When speaking with various agents from other real estate and property management companies, they all agreed that our tenants were getting a huge deal on the rent for our home and noted that Robert C. White and Company was not doing a proper job at pricing the property.
Also, we met twice with a representative from Robert C. White, who came to tour our home and finalize the contract. It was never mentioned that if we sell the property, there is a commission that Robert C. White and Company would receive even if they were not a part of the sale. We also worked with an agent from Robert C. White and Company for two years, and he was well aware of our frequent relocations and potentially wanting to sell, and a commission that they would receive was never mentioned. This company violated our privacy and contacted our tenant for the seller agreement contract of our home. They obtained sensitive documents with bank account information and social security numbers without our consent.
Additionally, we expressed that we would leave the appliances in the first lease agreement, but we would not be responsible for them. They included the appliances in the contract as something that we would be responsible for, and when they broke down, we were forced to pay to fix the washer and purchase a new dryer.
After complaining about this when the lease was renewed, they still included the appliances within the contract. I do not think there were two consecutive months where I received the full rental amount due to us. Fees or repairs of some kind always reduced it.
It is clear that this company is very deceptive in its practices, and they prey on the fear of homeowners having to pay for a mortgage on a home that is not being occupied. I would not recommend them to anyone as a property management company worth using. read more
