Unfortunately, when my appendix ruptured in 2018- and I had heart palpitations -.. it's good to have routine check ups. Luckily I found a really good and sensible cardiologist.. Easy to speak with and very knowledgeable. At first- my next appointment was going to be in six months- (said he'd want more banana bread- hehehe).. but he cleared me for another year check up.. I have to have CT scans, yearly for the rest of my life. I have been passed around Renown Pulmonary like a ping pong ball. Whenever I have a CT scan I always ask for a copy of the scan and also the written report. I had a CT scan in Oct, received my copy of the report which was some 2 lines that said I had cancer of the right lung. I called left a message with Jessica the Doctors assistant, I was leaving messages every week for over 5 weeks. I finally left a burning ass message asking if I had cancer or not.. would be nice to know before Christmas holiday so I don't have to wonder? She finally did call me back after that message and told me no. The Doctor did finally send me a message in my chart on the 29 of December that everything was good. Well, I took a bad fall off a ladder, 2 days later I took myself to the emergency room at Northern Nevada. They took a ct scan told me I had two spots, now on my left lung. They gave me some documents to give to my Pulmonary doctor, it has a bar code on it so she could access my new CT scan that showed 2 new spots on my left lung. Again kept calling and calling finally received a my chart request from the doctor telling me that I have a new appointment for a new CT scan which I did BUT DID NOT NEED TO. I Went to the main Renow hospital and picked up copies of every single test result, written report and cd of my CT scans. She also had be do a test to see how my blood flows through my heart that too was back in October. Well come to find out. I now have blockage in my carotid artery. My Pulmonary doctor never told me this back in Oct... nothing nor any mention of it in her email to me on the 29th of December... NOTHING. I found this out from my General doctor. I have had 5 different doctors at Renown pulmonary in 6 years... I left this medical facility! Now have a Great young New Pulmonary doctor off Mae Ann. Even my allergy doctor told me that Renown pulmonary doesn't have the best reputation. RUN. Here is another interesting fact... if you request a copy of the written test results of a CT scan. You might not get the one they send the doctor. The one I received in October was nothing like the one they sent to the doctors office and when I had the new CT scan in March as she did not want to see the one I had done by Northern Nevada in February...well again I asked for copies off all report... the one I received this time was the exact same report they sent the doctor last October 2025... word for word. I did not need to have the additional expose to another CT scan when all they had to do was let me know what they wanted me to do with the paper work from Northern Nevada that would allow them access to that CT scan. RUN... THIS FACILITY IS LAZY AND NOW PART OF KAISER!
