This was probably one of the better car dealerships we went to while doing some car shopping. They listened and gave us what we were looking for. I went in on my lunch hour to do a quick look around, I was able to let them know what I wanted He (Mike) showed me exactly what I was looking for and provide me with enough info to take home and think it over. Went back with my other half and they had the car we were interested in waiting for us when we got there so we could take it for a drive. I even had made mentioned I thought I vehicle looked cute, and they had that waiting for me to drive also. They just always seem to actually be listenting to what we had to say! read more

I'm here for an oil change. I absolutely love the customer service in the service department. They are well organized here plus I receive reminders in the mail and emails which is awesome if your busy like me. They are very clean when it comes to your car. They cover the seat and the steering wheel so they won't get your vehicle dirty. When I have questions they take the time to explain everything to you. This is great so I don't have to stress so much on taking care of my car because I can trust them. What made me very happy today is Brian asked if I had coupons I would like to use. Oopps I forgot it at home, but he took care of me anyway. I don't come here much, which could be a good thing, but when I do I'm very well taken care of. Since it is fairly hard to find on their website, know that the price they quote does not include the mandatory 'warranty' (includes glass, non-paint dent repair) for $1695 (or so) and their documentation fee of $699. I purchased a car here and 2 days latter car heater shut off with check engine light one. After diagnostic check was found to have 9 active voltage codes on various sensors and systems. System was checked and obvious problem was seen that the battery in the car was not the right one , cables did not fit properly and voltage not correct brought car in for appointment which was 3 days after problem and car has sat there for 5 days , with promises from Alison in service, Todd and Sebastian to fix the issue and get right back to me no call back no solution to simple problem of replace battery with manufacture correct part . I cannot recommend anyone buy a car here or go to this location for service as they have 0 follow through and no regard for customer care. read more

Drove over an hour to look at several 2017 Yukon Denalis that were advertised on their website. I had been looking over their selection for several days before finally going to the dealership. When I got there and asked about several models I was interested in, they informed me that those prices were all wrong. They blamed some "3rd party" for the error. They knew the prices were wrong but didn't have them changed. It sounds more likely that they used those phoney prices to get people into the showroom and sell at the higher price. Update as of 5/17/20, on the situation with my vehicle. Robert Brogden Buick GMC and General Motors did follow up with me AND NEITHER RESOLVED THE ISSUE! Robert Brogden Buick GMC told me they were STILL NOT going cover my rental expenses or other "loss of use" expenses I had accrued because they were going to charge me holding cost for the duration my vehicle (THAT THE DEALERSHIP DAMAGED) was on their lot. SERIOUSLY??! The General Sales Manager at Robert Brogden Buick GMC told me they went through their insurance to repair the damages on my truck. I guess that means, the dealership pockets all the insurance money and I do not receive any reimbursement for my expenses I had accrued! The answer General Motors (GM) gave me (after almost 2 months of communications) was unfortunately, because the accident happened at the dealership, it was the responsibility of the dealership. Also, that GM stands behind the decision of the dealership. I have since filed a claim with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) which after several weeks, replied back to me stating, after several attempts to contact Robert Brogden Buick GMC regarding the claim, the BBB NEVER received any communications back from the dealership. I then contacted the Kansas Insurance Commissioner to inform them of the issue. They directed me to contact the Attorney General of Kansas. I did file a claim with the Attorney General and now am awaiting their response. read more

My experience was terrible. I called in at about 8am to know if I needed to schedule an appointment for an oil change and to have the check engine light checked, since it came on. I was told I could walk in. I arrived at 9 am and was told the price for oil change and that I would be called after knowing what was causing the check engine light to be on. Well it was already 1pm and I had not heard anything about my car so I called, after a long wait I was told by the girl who received my car, that she would check on it and call me back. She returned my call at 2pm to tell me that they had been very busy and they would not be able to service my car that I could go and pick it up and she would schedule an appointment for another day, I told her that it was very inconvenient because if I would've known that early in the morning I could've taken my car somewhere else. She said she would check again, she called me back to tell me my car was ready and that the engine light did not come back on, so there was nothing I needed to worry about and that I could drive my car, I asked what would happen if it did come back on, her response is that it might consume more gas but I would not even notice but she could give me an estimate of a part that would need to be changed in order to avoid that. At this point I just picked up my car (that was not washed, other places offer this service as a courtesy, not this one) and the gentleman that was there couldn't find my paperwork, so we had to wait until she came back. I don't even trust that I received the correct diagnosis since they were rushing and I shouldn't have been the one who had to call to check on a status. I also noticed that I had a $2.50 for miscellaneous that who knows what that could've been on top of the tax, parts and services. The Supervisor or Manager needs to go over customer service skills with some of the employees. read more

I have had my 1997 Bravada to them 4-5 times for the same issue and they were unable to fix the problem of not slowing down when you let off the gas. After the last time there I thought the parts price was way to high and did some research. They charged me anywhere from 20% to over 600% over their list price on parts they put on the car. I went back and complained and they did refund $190.00. I found them to be dishonest and way over charge on parts. If I go in and buy the parts directly I get a discount off of the list price. This review is for the service department alone. I had a terrific sales experience but my first service visit did not live up to my experiences elsewhere. I made my appointment and arrived to only one lady helping a room full of people. When it's finally my turn to check in, they told me it would be about an hour, so my husband and I decided to go get something to eat and come back. Well, we were advised that if we were leaving, the wait for my car would be 2 hours instead of one. Hesitantly we agreed. We arrived back 2 hours later to find they had not even started on my car. So we still had to wait in a room full of people with no place to sit. I was disappointed that my not sitting in the waiting room loses my place in line. What was the appointment for if they don't honor it.? They should look at how other places treat service customers and try harder. read more

I wasted 3 hours of my day thinking they were being upfront with me only to walk out thinking what a fool I was for coming back here. A couple years ago I tried to buy a car from them as well and they approved us, had us clean out our car and the salesman put the 60 day tag on the new one and had us ready to leave then sat us down and told us they made a mistake and they didnt get the approval they thought and we couldnt take the car. Went to look at a 2015 diamond white Yukon Denali with alloy wheels on Monday 10/7. Made an appt. so they knew we were coming...I had driven it a week prior but wanted my husband to look it over. We arrived and it is presented to us covered in birdsh*t! Passenger front rotor was warped, rust underneath and sales man seemed irritated that we opted not to buy. He went back inside and we spent an additional 22 minutes on the lot looking at other options, with no one coming back out...not even the initial salesman that contacted me. They stayed inside pouting... just poor customer service and can't handle the word no. Sent an email to what was listed as the sales manager and he didn't bother to respond either. We should have read the reviews beforehand...but our advice is to not waste your time...all they care about is making a sale and not making the customer happy. read more

We recently had a very pleasant experience purchasing a new Acadia. Scotty was our salesman and worked hard to make the deal everything we wanted it to be. The good service continued through the financing and delivery process. Although we were approved through another bank before we arrived, they got us a better interest rate and it only took an extra 20 minutes,accomplished as we prepared to drive there. It was no fuss, and they ensured they had the paperwork and process streamlined for our arrival. When I first discovered a problem with my vehicle it was explained to me in a way that induced a bit of panic. It sounded like a major issue and I was told it was my fault and not covered under warranty. This left a very bad taste in my mouth and really upset me, to the point of calling GM customer service for assistance. In the end, I think the issue was taken care of as it would have been originally: repaired under warranty, at no cost to me, and even a loaner car to use while they awaited delivery of my part. The end result was very good and exactly as I'd hoped, and that's really all that matters (and what will keep me coming back), but the initial diagnosis could have been handled a bit better, and that's why I can't give the full 5 stars. read more

Worst customer service ever! If I could give them zero stars, I would. I take my company cars in there for service because it's very close to my office. I'm the idiot for continuing to do so. They have NEVER had my vehicles ready on time following service. I've spent more time in their waiting room than anyone should have to. In addition, with my last vehicle purchase there, I spent $300 extra for a "lifetime loaner" which means that anytime I have the vehicle at their shop for service, they will provide me with a loaner car to use while the work is performed on the car. Well guess what? They never have a loaner vehicle available!!! Seriously? They claim to have 30 of them, but mysteriously, there's never one available. Horrible experience, and I will definitely not be using Robert Brogden Buick/GMC again. I recommend that everyone actively avoid it. 1. It took two weeks for my sales rep and his managers to get me a quote. They kept asking me to come into the dealership, but I refused because I had already been there twice for a total of 3 1/2 hours, and they never got me a price. 2. My sales rep and his managers literally did not listen to anything I was saying as I was repeatedly asked the same questions (what kind of car do you want, what level of pricing are you looking for, do you want to buy or lease, etc.). 3. Even after asking and re-asking the same questions over the course of two weeks, I was shown things that I had explicitly said I was not interested in (wrong color, wrong make, lease instead of purchase, etc.). 4. At the end of the process, I was explicitly asked (verbally and in writing) to give a five-star rating on a customer satisfaction survey they said I would receive via email. Further, they said that if I had any issues with the service, to discuss them right there, so that we could resolve them (not sure how you resolve things like not having listened to me and taking forever to get me a quote) and give them a five-star rating. These sorts of pressure tactics seem to subvert the very purpose of a customer satisfaction survey. read more

Called for an appointment for repairs.. Was told by a girl she would have someone call me back. Took over 24 hours. Upon this call I am told a $23 sensor was going to run $900 for the repair.. I found a shop locally to do the same repair for $125. Having this done, after Buick's diagnostic on the car, the car still has problems starting. The second call back I received the price changes to a little under $300 for the repairs I have already had done.. I am very upset because I was lied to, just in a attempt to raise the ticket price. I understand trying to make a living, but up-charging to this extent for a part is beyond unreasonable. Needless to say I will never return to this location again.. Would suggest a second opinion before they do anything actually. read more

During the initial buying process, I couldn't have asked for better service. HOWEVER, after the process was over, I began to regret my decision. I was told I would receive my cash back check within 2 weeks of my original trade date and that the title and licensing paperwork would also be following in the mail. I'm now to the point where tomorrow is my last day to license and pay taxes on my new car and I still don't have anything they promised me. I've called everyday this week with the promise that it's in the mail and today they again promised me that this time they would overnight it to me. We'll see. I was promised an owners manual and the second set of keys (with fob) to the vehicle along with a couple of bonus items "thrown in" and guess what...the key fob is supposedly on back order and I have to drive all the way back (which is a two hour drive for me) to get the key made free of charge. Oh, another crazy thing...the one WEEK anniversary date of me owning the vehicle, I got a follow up call asking how I liked the car--they noticed that I had owned it for a year. WTH? I just bought it, you morons. Haven't even put a full tank of gas through it yet. Had the staff been friendly and apologetic, I wouldn't have written such a terrible review, but every time I called, it really seemed to be a hassle to them. Not a good experience here. I've bought two other vehicles from other dealerships in the kc area and things were quick, professional and fair. Not so with Robert Brogden Buick GMC. I came in with a clear vision of what I could afford, yet the salesman wanted me to pay more. I felt like I was in a "shake down" for cash. I heard dealerships could be like this (pushy, gimicky) but never experienced it before until this one! I also was asked to come back to the dealership (an hour out of my way) several days in a row and waited there for hours while they worked on a "deal" for me...Only to discover after waiting forever that the deal was identical to what they just showed me (do they think I'm an idiot? I thought it was worth my time to write my recent experience with Robert Brogden Buick Service Department, Olathe Ks. On Saturday (11-15) after going through a car wash my valve stem was sheared off on one of the guide rails (all original equipment). I brought my car to RB service since this is where I leased it from. I was quoted the following, Tire Pressure Sensor (~$95) Sensor Calibration (~$160), plus, valve stem, mounting and balancing. With tax and any other miscellaneous charges they could come up with it would be about $300.00. I left and drove as fast as I could to BIG O TIRES. With no appointment and in one hour they replaced the valve stem and put the tire back on my car, all FREE, NO need for replacing Tire Pressure sensor, NO need for re-Calibration, NO Charge for Valve Stem, Mounting or Balancing. Did I have to "haggle" some, yes, and they did everything they could to help me get into the auto I wanted. Always had good experience with the service department as well. I am over 70 and I have had many years with car buying etc. I found one salesman I liked and go to him. I look at car buying as a challenge and let them know up front I don't have to buy a car at that time and that seems to put an incentive on their end to meet my needs. read more

dropped truck off at 9:30 am no call or status update like they promised, so I had to call at 1:30 pm then no one would return my call for next half hour. Finally Gina returned my call and then at first claimed no one has done anything to my truck then stumbled and seemed to lie about already having the oil changed. About an hour and a half later she called and told me that everything was finished and the part needed for the AC to be fixed was on a recall and no one in the country had it. I arrive to pickup my truck and then she gives excuses for how poor of service the day was. I get into my truck and check the oil life and it was still at the same percentage before I dropped it off. I call her and she blames it on a bad mechanic and says she'll have words with him tomorrow and then tells me to reset it but doesn't tell me how. The following day I took my truck out to Hendrick GMC on state line and had an appointment at 1 pm then got right in and they even gave me a loaner vehicle for free. Then they called me shortly after and told me that they had it all fixed up and verified that the oil was changed. The part needed to fix it was in town and everyone has it...Very unhappy that Gina at Brogden would lie to me about it. I will never be back at Brogden and was nice to go to Hendrick GMC and experience true service and professionals. read more

I found a car there that I really liked and was happy to buy but had a problem with it that the dealer was going to take care of before taking possession. We signed the paperwork, left the dealer happy as could be. The next day I called up to talk to the service department about getting it taken care of and from there my experience with this dealtership has gone to the point I regret purchasing a vehicle from them. There is no line on communication, it has been 5 days, and I have to keep calling to try and get an update on when its going to be ready. Each time I call, no one has any clue what is going on with the car or even if they have it in their possession. If you chose to purchase a vehicle from them, don't expect any sort of customer service once you sign your financial paperwork. read more

If you want to get screwed over, treated like an idiot, and curse your car every minute you drive it--this is the place to go. Finance staff is NOT knowledgeable and very rude. Sales manager is aloof and could not care less about customers. They sold me a "new" car that they wrecked at their dealership, repaired with non-certified parts, and illegally concealed their negligence by not reporting the damage. My body shop found the glaring proof of their negligence when my car's paint started mysteriously peeling, revealing pinhole marks where the rear fender had been crumpled and popped back out. Where Brogden's crew of morons attempted to repair collision damage to the back and drivers side of the car, there was 1/4-1/2 inch build up of solder from where they installed a tail light pocket that wasn't even manufactured to fit in my car. Their attitude is that if you are a young single female, your place is barefoot in the kitchen making babies because women are far too dumb to be driving a motor vehicle, much less questioning a man's authority. I wish I was exaggerating but even the owner of my body shop called their regional sales manager out for his condescension and discrimination. After a lengthy legal battle, I received a replacement car that broke down on me two months into driving it. Within one year, I had to take the car back to the shop for repairs another TEN times. Don't get excited about GM's warranties unless you look forward to losing time and patience from taking it in for repairs every few months. read more

I visited Brogdon last year, intending to purchase a new car. I arrived with my trade-in vehicle cleaned out, my checkbook and good credit score in hand, and was very excited to drive off in my new car. Unfortunately, I've never have I had such a terrible experience at a dealership in my life. Everything about this dealership turned me off, including "losing" the keys to my trade-in an obvious effort to keep me in the dealership as I stood up to leave when we reached an standoff on numbers. I've purchased 4 new cars in the last 8 years and it's never taken longer than a couple of hours from start to finish, including negotiation, processing financing paperwork and vehicle prep. In fact, it's usually a pretty good experience - as it should be when you're spending close to $45K on a car. We were at Brogdon for most of the afternoon and they were still trying to play the shell game by moving numbers around and attempting to bury an exorbitant amount of profit in the deal. Apparently they thought I had never bought a car before. The final straw was the finance guy telling me I qualified for an interest rate that was 3x the rate I knew I had pre-qualified for before I even set foot in the dealership. His attitude was rude and unprofessional. Brodgon would be smart to show him the door. I left Brogdon, went to Hendrick at 435 and State Line and bought a higher trim level for less money than Brogdon claimed was an "impossible" deal on the lower trim. They even gave me significantly more for my trade. There are a lot of GMC dealers in the Kansas City metro and I'll choose any of the others before I return to Brogdon again. read more

We recently purchased a 2008 VW Beetle from this dealer. We will never do business with them again, and in good conscience, cannot recommend them. They promised floor mats and two keys. We took delivery in good faith, expecting them to deliver on their promise. They now tell us they don't have a second key and state they will not make good on their promise to provide the second key. (this, after a week of ignoring our phone calls and emails). We have yet to see the floor mats they promised. Poor, poor customer service and responsiveness. I normally try not to write a review in a negative fashion about a company because I hope my poor experience is a one off, but this time I have to. I tried to contact the General Manager to experience my concerns about how dissatisfied I was only to be told I cannot be given their information that they can call me? Why is it that they must have all of my contact information so they can contact you whenever they want but if you want to discuss something you are not allowed to? Well here is my letter Mr. General Manager; you may want to rethink your policy of no contact. "I wanted to take a few days before writing you to ensure I did not let my emotions get the best of me. I came in Saturday with 100% intentions of walking out of your dealership with the purchase of a new car; instead I left knowing that I will never come back. The first point to make is the inability for your sales rep to honor his own appointments that he set. The individual called me several times throughout the week, to tell me about "how great our sale is", or "how you will never find better service than with us." I appreciated the fact that he even wanted to set an appointment for a set time so that "you don't go un-noticed and lost like a tumbleweed", our appointment was for 11am this past Saturday. He then called me early Saturday morning to move the time to Noon (understandable, things change.) I graciously obliged and arrived with my fiancé at noon, only to notice he is working with someone; after ten minutes he comes up to me and tells me he needs ten minutes to finish giving them a quote. An hour later; still no service we have now sat there wasting our time, finally a young man came to at least look at cars and see which ones we like, now two hours pass and he has still not assisted us. Finally, frustrated I ask if we can at least test drive one; now after two and a half hours the young man who should us the cars ran our trade in report and started looking at figures. This is where my second issue comes in. My trade-in was vastly undervalued; coming from the view of two credible resources as well as two different dealerships; I understand the whole back and forth nature, but after wasting the better part of my day do not insult me with a low ball of that nature. Finally, after not getting any budge from them and still irritated that after three hours the sales rep who called us in has not helped us I asked for my keys back to my truck because we were obviously not even close. This is where the icing on the cake occurred; as I turned to walk away after expressing my thoughts on not being at an agreeable point, your "manager" or whomever was behind the desk doing offers laughed and said "yea, OKAY NOT even close HA." That type of arrogance has no place in a service industry. I myself am a Territory Manager for a Fortune 500 company and know for a fact if I were to demonstrate that type of inability to honor my appointments with customers, show disrespect, and inability to take care of a customer I would not make it out of that month with my job and rightfully so. I may have looked like the youngest person purchasing a car that day but my business is still just as important especially when I am coming in, not to look around but to actually start a purchase immediately. In a business of your nature, I found it astonishing that your team lacked the one ability that is most needed, customer service. In this day in age, between competition; not only with dealers that offer the same brands but also the true competing brands, and vast amounts of review sites; you would allow your team to act in a manner of disrespect and wasting my time. Instead though of using a review site I would rather come to the source because I believe it is unfair to attack a company publically. I really liked the car I looked at but cannot bring myself to come back to your establishment; if anything I will go to a different GMC dealer and see if they can be of better service. I am even tempted to drive, what 200 yards down the same street to Chevy and pay more for a vehicle simply out of principle. The only positive I relay to you is that your employee Josh really did try to at least assist us after he noticed our lengthy wait. He demonstrated true teamwork which was refreshing after seven or eight people walked right past us without a care in the world. The service here was so bad that I have never posted a review but, wanted to let people know to beware of Brodgen service and follow through. My husband took our truck in for warranty work. When he gets there he shows all what is wrong. One of the side mirrors does not work 100%. They told him that it would have to be broke 100% for them to take care of it. Also, the running board has a part that is coming off of it and they told us the would check into it and get back with us. We have yet to hear anything. So, a few days later a person called and wanted to see how our service was. When I explained to her what had happened she said she would get with the service manager and get back with me. NO CALL BACK YET and has been 5 weeks. How long does it take. So here we sit bought a $50,000 plus truck from Robert Brogden GMC and they refuse to take care of the warranty work. So, I guess Hendrick GMC is where to go. My dad Yukon was out of warranty by 2,000 miles and they still fixed warranty for good faith. I will never buy another vehicle from Brogden nor take any repairs there. Customer service SUCKS. read more
