if I could give this zero stars, I would. I came here to get a Straight blowout and ended up with this. The girl who was doing my hair is graduating college with me tomorrow and was nowhere near a professional. This is something I could've easily done at home in my own time and instead had to pay $40. Another more experienced hairdresser had to step in and take over at a point because it was so bad. She had another client so she wasn't able to finish it, However, if she did, I think it would've looked 100 times better. The cherry on top was one of the other workers in this establishment SHUSHED me while i was getting my hair done. It is a hair salon and there is 100 Dryers everywhere and I obviously cannot hear my own voice. If I was being loud, he could've asked me respectfully to lower my voice was rude and obnoxious. Worst haircut ever! Went for color and a cut. The receptionist seemed confused when I arrived but settled her confusion quickly. Told the stylist I wanted to grow my chin length hair longer but now it only reaches my earlobe. Not much I could do about that. She said "don't worry, it will grow ". But not only that, I'm embarrassed to go out with what looks like a bowl cut. When doing the color she got it all over my face. I'll never go back. read more

My stylist did not know who to cut hair; then another stylist had to come in and fix the haircut

They messed up my hair. I went in for balayage in December and spent over $400 for 2 sessions. And I was left with a horizontal line in my hair. I called and asked for a refund. They said it's because I box dyed my hair and that's why it's spotty. First of all, I box dyed my hair in May of 2019 when I had my short hair. It's been 1+ years since I box dyed my hair and that means my hair grew out AT LEAST 6 inches since I box dyed my hair. Thus, there was no box dye in the area that they left a horizontal line. I called for a refund but was told that it's not warranted because the spots are due to box dye. At first, they offered to fix my hair, but how could I trust them to ever touch my hair again when they messed up my hair like that? I went to see different hair salons to fix my hair and they all told me that the horizontal line isn't caused by a box dye but the stylist's technique. Robert Anthony Salon ended up refunding half ($200), but they should've refunded the whole thing plus for the cost of fixing my hair elsewhere. Because they left a spotty horizontal line, multiple hair salons told me that I need to dye my hair dark at the top in order to cover up the horizontal line. I ended up spending money and time (6hr + 4hr driving) but didn't get to get my balayage done. read more

I have been here 2 times and I will say I like the color work that Olivia does but scheduling an appointment is a disaster. This place can't seem to figure out how to appropriately schedule people. I waited almost 30 minutes beyond my appointment time the first time I was there. Then today when I called back to confirm my appointment and it was mysteriously not there. Not to mention the girl at the front desk didn't seem to care or try to help me get an appointment. I'm sure there are other places that don't wastes people's time. read more

Have been coming here for years and love John M!! The best color, cut, and highlights. Everyone is friendly and sooo nice even the owner Robert. My children have also been coming for years. My 14 year-old with brunette hair recently wanted the ends dark blue and they did an amazing!!!!! job. It has been at least 2 months and the color hasn't even faded. I went in to use a gift certificate for a manicure about 2 weeks ago. Now, I was given this gift back in 2009...I know, I know...I lost it and re-found it & then it was hidden in a stack of papers & then I re-found it again & said to myself "Annie, if you don't go use this right away, you will lose it again!" Called right then to make my appointment. Off I went for the mani! I had my 11:00 appointment with John, whom I immediately fell in love with! He was very personable & friendly. He taught me a few tricks on doing my nails at home & was very helpful. I can't wait to go back to him! He also does waxing (face only he said) and all things hair, and no feet! We talked tattoos, and houses, and life. I left feeling great, my nails looked AWESOME and I found a new place to do business = a happy Annie! read more

Had my second cut with Tracy Boughton. My original cut was a walk-in and Tracy was the one! I am very anal when it comes to my hair, so much so I usually cut it myself. Let me tell you this was a spur of the moment decision and Tracy did a phenomenal job. Her head massage during the wash was so relaxing and she really took time with the cut and blow-dry. As a life-long townie I've been coming here since childhood....(way) back when RA's was a newbie salon in a tiny strip mall on Main Street in Wakefield. Although their zip code has changed their friendliness, attentiveness & attention to detail has not. I always go to Robert himself and won't even entertain the idea of letting another salon touch my hair. I feel confident enough to pass the reigns to him and let him do 'whatever he wants', I know it'll look fab no matter what. The staff is always smiling, talkative, knowledgeable about products & on point with trends and the atmosphere is modern & inviting, complete with plush seats & a wall-mounted tv in the waiting area. I definitely can't recommended this place enough...take my advice, just go! read more

We came into town for my son's wedding and my Mom wanted her hair done so I called at last minute and they were able to find time on Saturday morning to take care of her. The people who greeted us were friendly and the woman who took care of her did a wonderful job! She did a better job than what my Mom gets at home. She was thrilled, she looked fabulous and her hair still looks great today, 5 days after the wedding. It made her day and we have taken pictures so she can show the folks at her salon at home, what to do. Highly recommend the salon! read more

I recently relocated to South County and have been looking for a salon that could meet my needs for great color and a great hairstyle. Today I found both at Robert Anthony in Narragansett. The salon is full service...hair, skin, nails...and is bright and clean. The staff is very welcoming from the moment you walk in the door. I only received hair services, but I noticed that the pedicure chairs are in small private and semi-private rooms. I'm already looking forward to booking a pedicure! Olivia, my colorist/stylist was lovely, took her time and asked questions to make sure that she understood what I wanted. She matched my color perfectly, and she cut and styled my hair exactly like the photo I showed her! I didn't hesitate to rebook with Olivia before leaving the salon. read more
