Butte View got the best Doctor and staff. They are sooo attentive and accommodating. Dr. Tran is the best.. She is very thorough in her examination with her caring demeanor Yuba folks, you are lucky to have her.. I have to do couple hours drive to see her when I need to. Either people are not informed, or are not responsible for themselves. People also need to understand the reality of working in Medical Care. The number of "no show" appointments, failure to see their primary providers, not having stuff done which should have been done prior to coming in for an appointment, showing up late, etc. I have been to Dr. Del Pero's office several times either for myself or family members. I have used his services for surgery four times, and non-surgical eye trauma with referral to a retinal specialist once, and 3 times for corneal injuries. I have never seen, experienced, or have heard any negativity of him or his staff. As he is an ophthalmologist, a surgeon, he deals with serious eye issues. He is not an optometrist. People need to be aware what their insurance coverages they have before they see a doctor. This is really not his job, but they will give approximate estimates. It is ironic people go in and expect everything to be "Covered". It is a also sad to think everything is an emergency. If an eye issue is something that comes on slowly, its more of an age related issue, such as Cataracts. Glaucoma, Retinopathy, etc. In most cases not an emergency. This being said, you may not get in immediately. I got hit in the eye with a foreign object. I lost part of my vision, I wanted to keep my vision, and I would not have picked any other surgeon then Dr. Del Pero. He saved my eye! People need to realize the caliber of what type of a physician he is. He is one of the highest rated eye surgeons in America. He was a pioneer and insturmental in LASIK surgery and more. He is not going to small talk with you, he is going to tell you what you need to know, what the problem is, and what needs to be done. My first visits with him were for my father in the 1990's. Age related cataracts. I researched, I called the insurance companies, I did my research. You just don't go in to get a cataract taken care of. You need to see your primary, get a referral, get an appointment, get an exam, get a diagnosis, get labs, EKG, pre operative prescriptions, get scheduled, pick up post operative prescriptions, follow your pre op orders, go to surgery, do your post op care, do a follow up, and then follow up again. As busy as he is, I have always been able to get an appointment based on the acuity of the issue. I hope anyone reading this understands the reality of medical care and perhaps some of the banter on this review from other people can be "Sour grapes". Thank you Dr. Del Pero and staff. But Dr. Yee made it clear that my coming in was annoying. He behaved in a very condescending manner and gave me the distinct impression that my coming in was wasting his valuable time. I will not be going back. If I have further problems, I'll see another doctor in this group. I've never been treated in such a rude manner by any other medical professional in my life. Though the waiting area is quite small, only 4-5 chairs. The staff is always friendly and attentive. Dr. Toleman is now my optometrist & I am quite happy. He's a kind man with a gentle nature. He was very open to any questions I had and did not make me feel rushed so he could get to the next patient. They have a nice assortment of frames to choose from. They have 'economy' frames all the way to designer like Coach, D&G, Dior & Fendi. And to be honest the Coach frames I got were pricey but not extraordinarily out of my budget. Granted I also have decent insurance. The staff who are in the lenses area of the building are very kind & patient. They of course will try to up-sale you on everything but don't pressure you. I decided against the fancy-dancy lenses material and suck to plastic (for price purposes of course, my insurance will only cover plastic lenses). The gal I was dealing with just went over the differences of course between both but when I choose to just do plastic she didn't pressure me. I think she did her job well without being pushy. So, if you have insurance, I would defiantly suggest this business for your eye care needs. (If you have medical you should call ahead and see if they accept medical.) Oh yeah, and I don't believe you have to have an appointment, but it would really benefit you if you did.
