This place is a 1989 throwback to the tv, show, Roseanne, whenever Jackie, Crystal, Dan and Roseanne would go bowling. The bowling alley reminds me of the set on the show, right down to the cinderblock painted walls. Then the lounge reminds you of the set from The Lobo Lounge they'd go to afterwards. So if you are seeking RETRO, this is it. The food is what it should be for a place like this. Cheap, unhealthy and good-sized portions. They really should sell Hamm's tall boys and Old Style to complete the effect. . . They used to have this monstrosity of a light fixture near the gambling machines that was right out of a 1976 disco, but I noticed it's sadly gone now. I'm not a fan of country music and salad plate-sized belt buckles, so I don't come here at night past 8 pm. Sooooo, if you want a break from snobbery and craft brew fans, and you enjoy primo 80's retro and have a good cardiologist, dive in! P.s., Breakfast specials are cheap, tasty and heart-warmingly nostalgic because you are guaranteed to see someone who looks just like your Great Uncle Ralph, the farmer back in Iowa, and who doesn't love that? read more
