Always on any adult night skating in the USA check their website. Many roller rinks allow skaters to buy tickets or sign a risk waiver to skate before arrival. This was the first time for me this rink was in a strip mall. The parking lot was massive. We paid and just like that I was skating the night away. Though it was a slow night. The décor of the rink was out of this world. This is the best place for a GLOW PARTY! The music was current and had a beat! I dance my heart out on that floor. We had considered having my niece take photos with Santa, but they charge $10 to take photos with Santa, so we certainly passed on that. Seemed pretty steep. Our first stop was at the concessions stand to grab a drink while we walked the market. I got the spiked Egg Nog (very good!) and others got the Kentucky Hot Cocoa and Hot Cider. We browsed the booths at the market. We didn't end up buying anything. It was mostly handmade items that we didn't have any interest in, but it was still enjoyable to browse around.

Open for more than 50 years this establishment which is just off Preston Highway looks and feels dated on the inside. But that kinda gives you the nostalgic feelings of when skating rinks where supper popular. They do have a cash only snack bar, a small arcade and game room sections and a pro shop to buy your own skates. Admission is $5 a person with a $2 skate rental. The skate rentals are all kind of dates but they will do the trick. Kind of like bowling alleys shoes. They have solid sized skating rink and always have an employee or two skating to check on fallen people and make sure people follow the rules. They do have the traditional roller skating features. Lights tinted down low with neon flashers, popular upbeat music and fun games like the hokey pokey, speed races and a beat little dice game they play where you stop on the closest number when the music stops and they roll the dice. If the dice is on your number then you are eliminated. The winner of the speed races and dice game either get a drink voucher for the concessions or a free skating ticket for the future. So that's fun and cool. My youngest nephew actual won the dice game last time we were there. Over the last year or so I've probably taken my daughters to meet some family friends here about 3-4 times. We always have a great time and my kids love it. It's still fun as an adult I just feel it more the next day than usual. Overall it a fun and entertaining few hours you can spend on a weekend or weekday night that is relatively cheap. It's is an older establishment so o found myself sanitizing me and the kid alike crazy but it's still a cool and nostalgic place with friendly workers.

You have alpine here and Iceland complex out east in the city. My family and friends go I've skating probably 3-4 times a calendar years. We have gone to both locations. Alpine is a smaller ice skating rink without the bells and whistles Iceland has. For instance the skates here are tie only where they overland has straps across the top for tighter foot wear. The areas I prefer alpine over the competitors is they have much better customer service. At the competitors we've had several issues with young workers who don't pay attention and ice rink "officials" who care more about being goofy with friends and doing tricks then monitoring the ice. Here on my experiences everyone has been nice and pleasant and appear to appreciate your business. Outside the ice skating rink they do have a small concession and one party room that can be rented out. They have much more availed free skate times and you can skate pretty much all day for around $11 a person after tickets and skate rentals. So not a bad deal at all. At other locations with I've skating rinks your time is limited because of constant hockey practices and things like that. So This place is the best bang for your buck when it comes to ice skating in the city or louisville. Overall a fun place to spend an evening ice skating. Not the largest or newest location but it has that nice nostalgic feeling of a classic roller/ice skating rink. Plus give me the top notch and caring service all day.

I had asked if they ever Zamboni the rink, as I couldn't tell where the Zamboni would come in, and the ice was very chewed up. I was told yes, so maybe the Zamboni came out right after we left. The facilities are also pretty old, with some maintenance very evidently needed. My main qualm was the quality of the ice. If you're new to skating and want to give it a try, this is a great entry-level place at a good rate.

I totally understand there are only 2 rinks, so ice time is short, but I'd easily come in the early am or right as normal work hours end to get in ice time if it were an option! Also, I think they should bundle practice skate times in with the never ever league. Give each player 3 free tickets to public skate. You know we'll be coming back here! Today I attended a birthday party for my nephew at this establishment. When planning the party, the…read morefacility wanted a list of the children's names who were attending. As they entered, their names were marked off a written piece of paper. We were allowed 14 children. As parties turn out, only 5 of those children named showed up. Even though we weren't at the 14 kid (paid for limit) you had to pay for other children that came and names were not on the "list". This was unexpected and not explained at time of booking. When questioned about this, the manager became aggressive, completely rude and unprofessional. I wrote a negative review on his site and he responded in a rude and trashy manner. His business etiquette is terrible. Customer service in nonexistent. Even if the original problem was explained as their policy, it would have been disappointing but exceptable. What I will not tolerate from a paying customer standpoint, is being treated poorly from management. Part of owning a business is dealing with people and talking through differences. The facility itself was run down. The games did not work. The bubblegum machines took your money. The one machine that produced a product, was a bubble with nothing inside. As simple as it is, it was upsetting for a two year old. The lockers took my money twice without working. The pizza was expensive and subpar.

Please understand that they have been difficult to work with for many years...once sending me a letter saying I had to remove a ramp for my 89 year old mother in law with Alzheimer's, although the ramp was her life line to the ambulance service that were frequent visitors at our home! And now, with the ice that has fallen...the money we spend on snow removal appears to be under utilized...considering our neighborhood is one big ice rink!!! Getting in and out is treacherous...but if an ambulance has to get in, it could be dangerous to the point of life threatening...all I ask of this company is be better, do your job and manage our neighborhood...

We were initially attracted to them because of the pricing. Prices are very competitive; in fact, they were the lowest for what we needed (inflatable slides!). With each rental, the inflatable was delivered when expected or earlier. With our first rental, we realized our house could not power it without a power surge. Conveniently, we have a portable generator, which worked perfectly. (Thanks to my late Papaw for owning that! It came in handy!) However, I do believe they have generators you can rent as well, if necessary. When we have rented, it was in the afternoon, so they ended up not picking up the inflatable slide until the next morning. This allowed this overgrown child a bonus playtime in the morning. Woohoo!! I have had friends who have used them and had good experiences as well. Additionally, I have also seen their inflatables at a number of events I have attended, so I'm not the only one who thinks they're good. If you need inflatables, use Tons of Fun! No complaints here.
