When my doctor referred me to the Dr.Poon Diet I was nothing but excited to get over there and…read morestart my new weight loss journey and change my life forever until I actually got there and this happened. I am a large male weighing over 450 lbs and it is extremely hard for me to get around and do certain things that i was used to doing before. So I get there and my name was called and I went in to the office with the nurse who asked me to take my jacket off and shoes and get this SOCKS!!!!!! and i thought i heard something different but I didn't so I continued to ask her why I needed to take off my socks when I physically cant and she replied 'thats the only way they get an accurate weight reading' and I said to her well I'm sorry but that is impossible for me to do that so is it possible to leave them on, and to my surprise she said 'NO' if you cant take them of then we cant help you at this clinic. At this point I was furious and told her I wanted to speak to her boss which was the doctor that everyone was waiting to see since it was the only doctor and there was roughly 15-20 people waiting not including myself. She was incredibly rude to me and didn't care about what I had told her. So i waited 30mins to talk to this doctor and once is was my turn I walked in and explained to him the exact same story and to my SHOCK....he had the nerve to say the same thing to me. So in closing i said to him that this was a very discriminative clinic that will not help severely obese patients on the condition that we physically can not take off and put on our socks just to get a weight reading. I also told this doctor that i called 4 or 5 different places and they did not need to remove the socks for any reasons at all even Dr.Bernstiens. Yes these other place are not free and are expensive but at least they were ready and willing to help out the bigger men and women that need to lose the weight due to medical reasons to make their life better and start to live a healthy life style. I DO NOT recommend Dr.Poon's program at all. they are all very rude there and DO NOT care about us as human beings and won't take the time to help us out at all. Look I want to live a long and healthy life too but unfortunately there are roads blocks that cant be overlooked due to our weight and for this place not to care its disgusting and offensive to me and every other obese person out there.

I was worried by my weight…read more The doctor told me that I was pre-diabetic and had high liver fat and that full blown consequences were next. So I wanted to lose the weight for medical reasons and also to restore my mobility. I did a lot of sports when I was younger and I just didn't like the look of my waistline anymore. I couldn't even see my feet in my shoes any longer. My wife had previously gone to Dr. Nelson Daniel's Weight Loss Clinic on Lawrence Road near McCowan and I decided to head to the clinic. Dr. Daniels gave fundamental insights into how to safely lose a large amount of weight over as short a period of possible WITHOUT drugs - but with will power and proper food selection. Dr. Daniels diet focuses on losing weight in a balance 75% by food intake and 25% by exercise combined with a diet that focuses on high quality, high protein and low carbohydrates. It's kind of a Mediterranean diet but without rice or bread - it's a little hard to get into at first but now when I shop, I shop for quality food first instead of buying any of the carbs or junk that I used to buy. And it's cheaper to buy lower amounts of better quality food. And the results are there. I lost 50 pounds in 5 months and am looking to go on the maintenance diet where I will be able to add a little more variety and just stay balanced in future. The health benefits are also proven - on my last doctor's visit, she noted that I am NO LONGER diabetically inclined and my fatty liver has disappeared (fatty liver is an early stage of liver cirrhosis). As well, I have the physical mobility that I had 20 years ago. It's been a revelation. Dr. Daniels diet is not for the weak hearted but it works if you are a dedicated individual and want to restore your health balance and perhaps your sanity a bit. Dr. Daniels Weight Loss Clinic is at 416-439-6711.

This is the worst place in Toronto and may be in Canada. 1st of all you should pay the whole amount of money in advance. In the 1st session I was loaded with a prescription contains different types of supplements , ((above 10 tablets a day)), I refused the supplements in general and I donot believe that I need them, but she forced me to buy them , and it was very clear to me that it was a hind door business. That's not all , the real disaster was after I took them for one day , I collapsed inside the kitchen and I was in bed dizzy for one week. I went there with help -as I cannot even walk that time -, I was very pale and weak and I informed her about what happened to me , and nothing was done, sure from my side , I did not take these supplements again, and I did not go there again as well. And surprisingly, that was one month back and till this moment , no one even called me to check if I am still alive or not, BUT , why they will check their client as long as they received your money!! One more thing I want to add, they do not have the scale with body analysis to know what you are really losing is fat or you are losing from your muscles or only body water. Lastly, I am a doctor! And each word I wrote was honest and true , as I only want to save your money and health.

When I first came in I was welcomed by a very nice polite receptionist. I didnt feel rushed even when I was late maybe 3 times! (not on purpose of course). Then Shelly who is a very dedicated Naturopathic Dr, and the most pleasent person you`ll ever meet; she gave me plenty of advice on natural care for the issuse I was having, even though I came in for a seperate service from naturopathy. She wasnt pushing to sell products And made me feel very welcomed to the very end. Ps. Shelly treated me for stretchmarks after pregnancy with vela shape. I received 6 treatments, once a week. I came in sceptical about the effectivness of ths vela shape, but I acctually noticed that the skin on My stomach is tighter And the stretchmarks dont feel as deep when I run My fingers over them! I highly recommend this clinic for the service, beginning to end, naturopathic care, And the vela shape but for more than 6 treatments. Also, their prices are very good as compared to some other places. Have a wonderful day Everyone!

With each treatment, at the time of measurement, she holds the tape tighter and tighter against the treated areas. If you follow her diet plan, eat low calorie soups at night and greens during the day, drink 2 litres of water, you would lose some water weight in the first 3 weeks. If you continue with JUST the diet plan for the longer, you would lose some more weight. The lasers are just there to make you feel like you are losing weight. I highly recommend the Greater Toronto Hypnosis Center if you are looking to add an effective tool…read moreto your toolbox to address issues you may be having around anxiety/stress, weight loss, smoking cessation and otherwise. Jason is a kind and compassionate professional who guided me into a state of deep relaxation / hypnosis, and now that I have experienced this new level of 'calm', I am able to achieve this state through self-directed exercises. While I did not come to the Center for support around anxiety/depression, I found that it was a happy side-effect that my mental state is so much improved that I no longer require anti-depressant medications. It is important to come to the program ready to fully participate with a positive mindset. Jason will call you out on your 'bulls**t' if you're making excuses and are not fully engaged. I expect you get out of the program what you are willing to put into it. I love the taped sessions, and Jason's sessions equally. Its great to have the tapes to use at home whenever you want. Not to mention the program is guaranteed - Jason will meet with you monthly at no charge, forever, if you need it to reach or maintain your goals after the program is finished. Hardly a money grab, as was suggested by Lindamarie P (Parsons)? in her review. Definitely ignore that review! She was clearly not committed to the program and missed out on an opportunity. Highly recommend!

I called to change an appointment and was told he "couldn't fill that spot now", even though it was 24 hours prior which shows he's all about the money. The program was so bad I didn't even finish my 8 sessions because it was just so repetitive that I was learning nothing nor getting any affect from his hypnosis.
