RoadHouse Cinemas what an absolutely outrageous situation. I was in on Saturday and accidentally left behind my daily medication container. I realized it right before I got home and immediately called the theater. I was told they had not even started cleaning the theater yet, so I let them know I was turning around and coming right back. Instead of simply holding the container at lost and found like any reasonable business would do, staff decided to open it, identify the medication themselves, determine on their own that I "wasn't allowed" to carry it in a daily-use container, then called the police and turned it over. I also want to mention im running low one of the medications. Completely unbelievable. Now the police themselves are apparently having a hard time even locating where it ended up, and I spent essentially my entire day trying to track it down with no luck. The whole experience felt less like customer service and more like living in some sort of police state where staff think they should play pharmacist, investigator, and law enforcement all at once. What makes this even worse is that the container itself wasn't just some random pill case. It was a gift from my grandmother in-law who recently passed away, and I'm honestly going to be heartbroken if I never get it back. The theater has completely stood by their decision despite the stress, wasted time, and emotional toll this caused. I've never experienced anything remotely like this from a movie theater before. Absolutely outrageous. I DO NOT RECCOMEND! Update after talking to management Today. Side note, Management believes they did everything right. In their view I was wrong and I should have kept them in massive original bottle. They believe it should be that way so they reported it and refused to give them back to me. I even asked them hypothetically if they found a wallet, would they go through it, identify the owner from each and every card and if all cards didn't match (example wife's name) would they and then call the police before the person could come retrieve it? They basically said yes. They also made it clear they would search it top to bottom. Of course we understand basic safety concerns. Nobody is arguing against checking for weapons or dangerous items. But this situation went completely out of control. They already knew exactly who the owner was because I had personally called them and told them I was on my way back. I was only about 30 minutes away. There was absolutely no reason for staff to start handling and inspecting my medication themselves. And honestly, it's also just kind of gross thinking about strangers putting their hands all over my medication trying to read the tiny identifying numbers on pills. This would maybe be different if they had found an abandoned container with no owner attached to it, but they knew whose it was because I contacted them directly asking for assistance retrieving it. The entire interaction felt less like theater security and more like someone on a power trip pretending to be law enforcement. Very frustrating experience all around. Finally, of course with the police, I did nothing wrong. I'm not in any trouble, it's just locating my container and it's contents. (BTW, Police were surprised theater called knowing, I was on way back. They typically only have something like this when something truly is lost) read more

Nothing like being able to recline and get served food and drink while watching a movie! Especially if you go for a matinee, the prices are not too bad for tickets. There are delicious vegan steak tacos on the menu. I'm not sure why they took the burger off the menu that was really good. There are also adult beverages. And the popcorn comes in a giant bowl. read more

So it was my first time here at a dinner cinema while I'm visiting Tucson. We went to see a movie that started at 6:20 and we got there at 5:45. The theater was not busy so we thought we could get our food right away. We ordered a few items however it came out incorrect. We noticed other people around us were getting wrong orders as well. It was distracting when the movie started and they were coming by to bring people their food. I gave you three stars for the popcorn which tasted fresh. The waiter was nice. He tried to correct what he could. Anyways, I liked it overall and would return again. read more

Writing this makes me upset because I've normally been a pretty decent fan of this place. Tonight we went with some friends to see Devil Wears Prada 2. Movie was great, service was actually so bad. It took over 30 minutes to get my sparkling water and glass of wine. My brother in law got his sparkling water way after me, my husbands popcorn (glazed and confused flavor) was so dry and had no flavor even after asking for a new one and even the people next to us weren't getting what they asked for. I totally get being busy, but it just seemed like we were forgotten. To make things worse, we let our server know we had a gift card to use before our card, she acknowledged and took it. Well out comes the bill and the gift card wasn't run, the manager fixed it but not after we walked by and heard them saying I "had so much attitude when asking for her drinks" AGAIN after it was forgotten. Again, I'm understanding of being busy but talking crap about me when I walked back into the theatre to return the signed receipt (with a tip), annoying. Last but not least, the staff was SO loud the entire movie outside the doors having full on conversations and laughing with the theatre doors open. So unenjoyable. read more

This is easily my favorite place to watch a movie in Tucson. The seating is incredibly comfortable, and the food and snacks go far beyond typical theater fare--it honestly feels more like dining at a nice restaurant while watching a movie. Their popcorn is one of the best, and I love that they'll fill a take-out bag with your popcorn so you can bring it home after the movie. Almost every seat offers a great view, though in some theaters the very front row can feel a bit too close to the screen. The only minor downside is that the room can get pretty dark, making it hard to see what you're eating at times. That aside, it's a wonderful movie-going experience with great food and service. Tickets are discounted on Tuesdays, and there are daily happy hour specials, which makes it even better. Definitely check out their menu for all the great options. read more

Sadly I am unable to give a great review today. Our server who took our order when we arrived was polite, and she provided her name; Jules. I dont believe she caused this "not so great" review. I believe the kitchen and addition staff just didn't provide their best service today. About 40mins in, nothing to our seats had arrived. I pushed our service button. Jules came and noticed we had no items. She immediately checked our order on her monitor and she said I will go find out where your items are. I didn't need to say anything. Within a few minutes our lunch arrived and then a few minutes later our popcorn. (This part makes me sad because usually we get popcorn and drinks prior to food service) I will say our drinks (cherry coke, and Arnold Palmer) came like 10 minutes after our food. Such a bummer! The lemonade in my Arnold Palmer was terrible. More like water with lemon peel barely. Jules was kind enough to credit our popcorn without any discussion. I gave that back to her as a tip. Our food was good. We both enjoyed our waffle fries! Super fresh and crispy. My hubby's spicy chicken sandwich was great but my special sandwich was a turkey burger with arugula and a special aioli. The turkey burger was burnt and honestly tasted like hamburger. I couldn't take photos of our food because it came late into the movie so no proof. We haven't been here in over a year. This was a daytime date for Valentine's for me and my husband. We probably won't be back for a while. I have to say Galaxy theaters is so much better than Roadhouse. The movie was fantastic. My favorite theater in Tucson. Very comfortable recliner chairs. This is the type of theater where a server takes your order and you can eat a meal while watching a movie. The menu is pretty good, there is quite a variety of items. Popcorn is popped with coconut oil which gets a thumbs up. They have different theaters sizes, with one called a screening room. From my understanding those are very small and I'd probably pass on those an opt for the bigger rooms. read more

Brought my kids to the Roadhouse to over Thanksgiving break to watch the new Wicked movie. Love the lounge seating. The three of us split an order of popcorn, half butter half caramel and we ordered a few sodas. You get free refills on the popcorn and soda, but they were both so large that one of each was more than enough. We took home our popcorn refill in a to go bag. Stella, our server was helpful and kind. We checked out the new Roadies attached to the theatre and it looked like a fun addition. read more

Great place to watch a movie. Comfortable seats, pleasant atmosphere and good customer service. This place is really expanding with their addition of Roadies which appears to be very popular. This is probably a great place for a date...., plenty of activities to keep you entertained. I love their popcorn. Seriously, the best movie house popcorn in Tucson. If it's busy I prefer to order food before taking my seat, seems to expedite delivery. They have a FULL bar and a full range of menu items. The trays are perfect for eating your snacks.. unless you are kicked back in full reclining mode. The sound is terrible. The quality of the screen is trash. The disgusting chairs. This is a classic example of "Tucson mediocrity". This town accepts trash so more trash is given to them. BY FAR the worst movie theater I've ever been to. The dollar theater that previously lived here was cleaner. Better viewing experience as well. On numerous occasions we complained that the sound wasn't clear-never fixed. On numerous occasions we complained that the movie wasn't formatted correctly I.E. the opening credits went off the screen LOL. Was it fixed? Come on, you've read this far. Went to the movie the other with some friends. The crew members were not very friendly. We Sat towards the back of theater, and it smelled like urine, plus the seat were sticky. I'm really not a movie person but if I ever have to watch a movie at a theatre, this would be the only place. Chairs are so comfortable. So comfortable that I fell asleep 5 minutes into the movie You can eat while watching the movie. Nice servers are just one button away and they bring the check towards the end of the movie so that they don't disturb you. I liked the size of the theatre as well. read more

Fun place! This was the only place e could see the movie we washed too see and it was an unusual experience. We were in what they call a screening room with only 2 short rows of recliners. The service was acceptable and the food was better than expected. My husband got abig bowl of the best popcorn (he got cheddar and caramel) that is refillable but didn't get thru the whole bowl as it was. We also got the nachos work chicken and it tasted good. It's nice to be able to watch a movie and eat a meal while sitting in a very comfy seat. We will definitely be going back. read more

Perfect date night experience. Right now they have a Christmas deal (purchase $50 GC, get a free large popcorn voucher.) This cinema has food, drinks, cocktails, & the BEST movie popcorn you've ever had (it's made with real clarified butter!) Specialty service was GREAT! They come to your seat and bring everything to you. They have so many soft drinks to choose from, including my favorite, fresh-brewed, unsweetened, black tea! They also have gelato, and housemade cheesecake! Prices are super reasonable, too! We will definitely be back and support this small business! Oh, I almost forgot, you can ask for a fresh bag of their gourmet popcorn to take home and they'll deliver it to you right before your movie ends! How great is that?! read more

I have not been to the movies since Elvis was released in what? 22? I went two days in a row here to see Bugonia and Frankenstein. What a great experience. Amazing service, nice seats, great pop corn. I had a lovely time and keep looking to see what movies are coming next so I can go again. Definitely a great experience. FWIW if you are unaware this is the type of theatre where you are in electric reclining chairs and there is a full menu and bar you can order to your seat. Just awesome knowing Tucson has this and it's affordable. 2 early bird tickets were 8.00 bucks each. read more

I recently had to transition to gluten and dairy free. Prior I would order the margherita pizza. I was surprised to see on their new menu they have dairy free cheese, and cauliflower crust: the pizza was just as good! There is of course an up charge but the pizza was fantastic! Everything was awesome. I didn't know this kind of a place even existed. It's nice they come to your chair with a call button and let you take your order or you can order ahead. My only complaint was how loud one of the waitresses was as she was coming and going. Other than that, it was great service, and a good movie, enjoyed the screen, lighting, and commercials. I also really enjoyed the buttered popcorn and the bowl that they provided was a fair size. The ginger ale was ok. 1 popcorn, and 1 drink cost $17. You have to appreciate everything good so much that you overlook the bad. For me, it's a no. I've really tried to like this theater but I don't enjoy some keys things: 1. The food - super convenient idea but I don't love the menu choices or quality. Some might. The popcorn is good (I don't require the gourmet). I miss having some candy choices (gummy bears and plain M&M's don't do it for me.) 2. The seating - Comfy enough but no incline. I miss the stadium seating of the bigger theaters. 3. The screen - small. Too intimate for me. 4. Service - I've had wonderful, nice, attentive servers every time. BUT I don't love getting my check right at the tail end of a movie (the big ending! Interrupted) The clanking dishes are also no fun to listen to throughout the movie. 5. The air is too stuffy for me. It's already hot in the theaters. Plan accordingly. So close to being a good idea, but I always leave there wishing I had just watched a movie in the comfort of my own home. read more

My first time coming here. We had our office event held here. So glad I came. I love the ambiance; the restrooms are clean. Although the seats had some crumbs on them, the seats are very comfortable and relaxing. The seats reclined. A very small menu, but they have all you need for a good movie date night. This place offered a really fun movie experience, with food that is definitely above your average movie theatre (both in quality and selection). My friend and I indulged in probably the biggest bowl of popcorn we have ever seen (and there were 4 different flavors to choose from) and got the option to take it home! I got the quesadilla while she got the pepperoni pizza and we both really enjoyed our meals. Make sure to get to the theatre before your movie start time in order to place your food order without interrupting the movie, but they had service buttons for anything you need. I did ask for a refill of water when the check came and they forgot, but the staff was super super friendly. Made for the perfect lunch and movie going experience! read more

This was our dm first time there. The staff was so friendly and fun at the bar before our movie. We walked around roadies and love the place. Good for all occasions. During movie, we got a free popcorn bucket because the in movie server knew it was our fist time there. The seats were comfortable and it was a good time. Only thing we would change is the temperature. It was comfortable but it could have been a few degrees cooler. After the movie we were served at the bar by Michael and he was amazing and very knowledgeable. He engaged with us and made us want to go back. He is awesome. read more

The setting of the theater was great, but I wasn't crazy about the food. I visited in Feb. 2024 to watch, "Argylle" with my partner. It was my first time here, and I was looking forward to it because my partner said the seats were big and comfy. They had recliners and tables to place your food on. Plus, a button to press when you needed a server to take your order. All of that was true, and the service was excellent. Not a mean person in the room, but I did notice how one can be ripped out of their immersion when watching a movie, with all the guests having servers tending to their needs. They are quiet about it, but even so, it can take you out of the moment. The movie I saw was a comedy, so it didn't feel that bad, but I could imagine how uncomfortable it may be if you're watching a serious drama or holding your breath during a horror flick. I had some caramel popcorn, and that was okay. If I didn't have my partner around, I wouldn't have finished it though, with how huge the metal bowls are. I wish the pepperoni pizza had a stronger cheesy taste, as I felt like I was chewing grease most of the time. If I were to come back again, I think a popcorn and drink will be just fine. I've been here before, but the new expansion very nice! They've added an arcade, laser tag, bowling, and a bar/restaurant. I always recommend Roadhouse for dinner and a movie, but definitely get there early so you can order food before the previews start. The screening rooms are small and cozy. There were maybe only 10 of us so it feels really intimate. The screening rooms would be so fun to rent out for a small gathering or celebration. The seats are super comfy! You can heat them up and call for service with a button. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the food's just okay. The popcorn can be hit or miss. read more

Comfortable seats, super friendly staff, a great picture, and as an audiophile I can safely say one of the best sound experiences I've ever had in a movie theater. Popcorn is served properly in a metal bowl. I have everything I need for waiter service right at my seat. The menu selection is plentiful and reasonably priced. The craft beer and other adult beverage selection is very good. Our waiter Michael was attentive but not intrusive. The bartender taking care of things before we went into the theater was the same way. A top notch experience all the way around. read more
