I called them for the first time, and also for the last time. Horrible Customer Service, I have never seen anything like this, EVER. The first lady receiving my call was nice and correct, and told me my taxi would take 15 minutes. My taxi driver NEVER made it to Gatwick's North Terminal, I waited for my taxi 20 minutes and then I decided to call again to check if everything was alright and there was no confusion about where I was getting picked up. The same nice lady answered my call again and informed me my taxi should be there at the moment, just then i was receiving a second call from my taxi driver with number 07474238268. I told this girl I was getting this call and said goodbye, then picked my taxi driver call. He told me he was in Atlantic House. I told him I was in Jubilee House, and that Atlantic House is a whole different terminal. He got quiet and asked me if I could go there. I couldnt believe it, after working the whole day and waiting like 20-25 minutes to get a taxi home I was getting asked to go to the South Terminal and then make my way to Atlantic House. With all my respect I told my taxi driver I was in the North Terminal, at Jubilee House, and I had ordered to taxi to pick me up exactly there. He then asked me if a taxi could pick up people there, so I answered that indeed it can. Between 10 and 15 minutes my taxi hadnt arrived, I decided to call again to the call centre. This time a man answered my call, it was around 1:30 pm. I told him what was happening and that I was still waiting for my taxi, then he told me my taxi was already in the airport, so again I told him I was in the North terminal, at Jubilee House, which is the place I ordered my taxi to, and that the taxi driver never made it there. The he repeated the taxi was in the airport, and I explained myself again telling him there are two different terminals and I was in the North Terminal at Jubilee House meanwhile my taxi driver was at Atlantic House in the South Terminal. This person just hung up the call, leaving me extremely frustrated, astonished, unable to understand why did he hung up when I was being polite in every moment. I tried to call the taxi driver, but he never got my call. So finally, after loosing more than 40 minutes I decided to make my way to the South Terminal and wait for the next train, something I really wanted to avoid since I was really exhausted. So Thanks to Roadrunners I arrived to my home 1:40 minutes after I was suposed to, absolutely upset and frustrated and unable to sleep for the next few hours due to this. Its absolutely unacceptable, I cant believe the consumers Unions are not working against this NO SCRUBS Taxi company. read more

Agree with the other poor reviews. Roadrunners are the worst taxi company we have ever had to use. Moved to Reigate from London recently and have no car so forced to book taxis to/from Redhill station on a regular basis. Problems include: - having to call multiple times as noone picks up to even take a booking (all times of day and night and have never had this problem with a taxi company) and phone rings out to answerphone - taxis dont wait for specific prebookings at station and we have lots 2 cars this way due to them taking first come arriving passengers rather than those who booked them - drivers are rude I don't expect gold plated service but one accused us of closing the door too loudly as he had a new car and then got lost and accused us of not directing him as we were talking to each other (??!) and had another appalling experience where driver had so much attitude and then refused to give change as our train arrived 5 mins late and he had to wait?! This on a midweek night where there are no other jobs and the radio didn't call once during our journey! these people are unreal and so unfortunate there isn't much competition. Belfry Cars in Reigate are supremely better with friendly service, text message booking (within seconds rather than maybe days later from roadrunners if at all) stating car reg, vehicle and time/journey details and price competitive we will not be using roadrunners again i would actually rather walk, that's how bad they are. having been into the office I saw it was no use complaining and they do not understand how to run a business or serve customers. my advice go elsewhere! read more

One night they picked me to take me home from a friends house which was 11 miles away, a journey I do nearly every day, when we set out the driver went completely the wrong way even ignoring his sat nav, I said why are you going this way, he replied he thought it would be the best way, this was 3am, well after 10 minutes of driving round we ended up near where we started, I said why have you gone round in a circle, I hope it won't cost me more for you going the wrong way, he said no. Well guess what, I reached hope and it was 16 miles, 5 more than normal, he argued it was the quickest way, I called the operator lady and she said if he's done 16 miles that's what you pay for, I told her he went the wrong way on purpose to charge more money and explained I do the journey every day, she wasn't interested. I have to say my experience with RoadRunners was def 5 star, i had a plane to catch at Gatwick airport and my lift to the airport let me down, i phoned RoadRunners and explained my situation and explained that i was already late and if i didnt get to the airport in 15 minutes i was going to miss my plane, they already had my details on screen and within 5 minutes my cab arrived, i was panicking of course and to make matters worse i needed to stop and get cash out as i had no money on me what so ever, after explaining this to the driver the driver said to me " dont worry about that just let me get you to the airport so you can catch your flight because it wasnt worth losing the cost of a plane ticket for the sake of a few pound" thanks so much RoadRunners, because of speed and understanding and sympathetic driver i made my flight, fab cab company :) read more

I ordered a taxi the previous day for 8:00am plenty of time to get to the station at the bottom of the hill, purchase a rail ticket for the train and get to the platform, (I can't walk fast) at 8:50am. The taxi was 20mins late. I was left worried about missing the train as there was a change to be made at Gatwick. This was to get to Brighton for a hospital appointment so imperative to catch this train. The reason given by the taxi driver was that taxis being sent to Reigate for fares had a terrible job getting back as there are roadworks in the High Street. The control/administration were not taking that into account. So my gripe is that the admin side of Road Runners is letting the whole system down and therefore its customers. I will not be using Road Runners again for any important timings. read more

Currently awaiting a phonecall to discuss why the taxi that we ordered the night before was nearly thirty minutes late this morning. This resulted in missed connections, extra expense and a lot of inconvenience. The dispatcher commented that the taxi was 2 minutes away when contacted after the first 10 minutes of delay. It is my belief that the taxi had in fact not been dispatched at all. The dispatcher put the phone down to avoid any further dialogue. LOUSY CUSTOMER SERVICE. I will update you as to how long somebody takes to offer an apology. BE AWARE that despite having a verbal contract to supply a taxi at a given time, THEY WILL NOT REIMBURSE ANY UNFORESEEN EXPENSES DUE TO THEIR NEGLIGENCE. Use a company that can be bothered with its customers. If anything changes i'll let you know. read more

This is the worst taxi company I have ever used!! Booked a pick up from Heathrow terminal 3 about 3 weeks in advance they did not turn up as per the requested time & they did not bother to call me to let me know where the cab was or what time it would arrive. I had to use a black cab to get back to my hotel to collect my car at a further cost of £20!! I was actually driving my car on the M25 a further 1.45 hours later when I received a call from a driver to tell me he was at terminal 3 to pick me up. A very unprofessional company & would tell anyone thikning of using this company to look elsewhere & make other arrangements!! They are a complete set of jokers! read more

Quite possibly the worst taxi company I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. Not only was my taxi AN HOUR LATE (as a woman waiting alone at 1am for a taxi, you can understand why this would be quite frustrating) but when i called them FOUR times to find out if it was on its way, i was greeted with abuse (foul language), hung-up on, told i'd have to wait my turn, that it was my fault i hadn't booked it earlier as they were busy (i had pre-booked for midnight) amongst a host of other excuses. If you want a taxi that turns up on time, doesn't leave you stranded and cares about their customers (i.e the people who pay their wages) use a different company. read more

I booked the taxi from the Horley train station office at around 7-8 pm on the Thursday the 20th of December 2012 for 1.25 am Friday 21st December to Gatwick Ariport from Horley taxi was late 35 minutes I was Late for my bus for which i pai £30 to Stansted, and I have to take a taxi to Stansted Airport , they send new driver, who couldn't go to Stansted Airport so I have to wait for 15 minutes for new taxi and I ahve to paid £70 to go to Airport in this moment try to find out to to complain if can someone help me late me know, otherwise DONT USE THIS COMPANY VERY UNPROFESSIONAL Justyna read more

Ordered a taxi from Nutfield Priory to Redhill Station! They were fantastic. Showed up on time, the driver even helped me with my lugguage. Would 100% use them again. The admin staff were polite on the phone when I ordered the taxi on Wednesday evening and even told that they would prioritise me as I had told them that it was urgent that I got to the train station on time. After several experiences of road runners being late, it's a mystery why I still went back to them this weekend. However, this weekend I was trying to catch a train to Portsmouth to get a ferry on time, with about 15 other people. Not only was my taxi 10 minutes late, I got no apology, told I should have booked it earlier (which I did) and shocking customer service. You have lost a regular. P.s. My new favourite taxi company. Drivers have always been really nice, no hassle getting on the phone and they're clear if there's a wait. There's a lot of bad reviews regarding going to Gatwick, but please remember that travelling to an airport on busy roads at peak times is always going to take longer than you think.
