I went in to do a couple of upgrades to the Supra. Upgraded to multi-slotted front rotors, brake pads, and a steering wheel upgrade. Rotors and brake pads were straight forward. The upgraded steering wheel, Rexpeed flat bottom steering wheel. This was a little bit more complex, I asked if he could move all the internals from the stock steering wheel to the Rexpeed steering wheel, Dennis said no problem. Dropped off the car at RNZ when they opened, Dennis was at the front desk, bright and early. I let him know that he can have the car all day. About 2:30 - 3pm pm, your car is ready. I love these guys! Thank you! You guys did an amazing job! On to Toyotafest 2024 in Long Beach.

Brand new tires alignment was not done right.

I went to get a alignment. I had bought new tires. Now they are all bald. I paid $160 for the service. Not worth it! I got a pigeon toe alignment on both my front and back tires. These tires cost me $600 and not they are bald due to inexperienced technicians.

For all the stuff I'm too lazy, or don't have the tools to do, RNZ is the one of the very few places I trust to work on my cars, from my 72 510, to my latest project 2005 4runner - the crew has always been professional and reliable. They are enthusiast just as much as mechanics and never hesitate to recommend them for any service. Thanks to the team for taking care of my cars! Most recent service: 4runner Front Suspension install (Shocks, control arms, control arm bushings, and alignment) Past services: - 2001 Tacoma AC repair, brakes, ball joints, transmission service - 1972 510 Alignment

I have gone to RNZ Conceptz twice now. Both times the customer service has been great. Dennis has done some great and quality work on my car. I have a 2020 Camry and bought Coilovers and was looking for a reasonable place to get it done. Talking to Dennis made it a easy decision to bring my car here. I have referred a few friends to RNZ and they have had similar experiences. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a quality mechanic.

Brought my Lexus in for regular maintenance and what can I say.. the service was 10/10. Dennis took care of me and Brandon did a good job highlighting what work was done. Thank you for the excellent service you provided and I will be recommending RNZ to all my friends and family!

Another pic of what Dennis did

I've taken all my cars to Rnz concepts for the past 5 years. I know nothing about cars just minor basics. Dennis and Al have always taken care of me regarding any repairs needed to be done. We've all been at that place where money is tight and the guys have always taken that into account whenever I had car issues. They would always let me know what should be fixed first when money was an issue. Mazda protege, Nissan 350z, friends and family's other vehicles were recommended by me to be sent here. It's the kind of shop that when you are given the bill you don't look twice at it because you know you're in good hands. I recently had the opportunity to pick up a 1994 Toyota Supra from friend. RNZ had worked on this Supra for my friend with flushing the engine and replacing the clutch. The work that was done was great, they got the Supra back up and about. The AC wasn't working and I conferred with Al, they ended up replacing the entire AC unit for $$ The last thing I wanted to do was install a sound system, I had everything I wanted ordered from pioneer with Al's Input and was researching different stereo shops for the install. Price quotes were around $600. Dennis and Al offered to install everything for me for the same price. Dennis told me he only does stereo installs for his homies. I figured if I'm going to spend $600, I may as well pay it to people I know instead of strangers. Dropped off my car and went home to hang out. I got a call from Dennis saying that it was more labor intensive than expected and that the bill would be around $1000 but he'll hook it up for $880. A bit over my budget but cool. I picked up the car in the evening and they bumped the sounds, showed me the deck portion of the car. It looked like someone hacked the center console with a file. You can see pics below. Dennis told me he couldn't fit deck so he had to file the sides. He went into more detail and Al even said that La Jolla car audio would have charged over $1500 because they would have to do a custom wood bezel etc etc. I should be happy with the work he did. I went home with a weird feeling in my stomach. The next day in daylight I took a closer look at everything and the car was a mess. Greasy oil foot prints on the inside of my car, window seal loose, the Supra looked like someone just half assed the job without caring. I took my car to a stereo place and they straight up told me that Dennis installed incorrectly. I went back after talking to Eugene Abad Who works with them and was told the same thing by Dennis. His excuse this time was stereo shops quote you the low price to get you in and that's how they would get you for $1500. No help, no refund, he just filed the face a bit more, cleaned the interior, but as you can see it still looks awful. It took a while but I've been hunting for the replacement piece to my dash that RNZ butchered. I finally found the OEM part. I did my research and took it to a place called "Audio Sound" in Kearny Mesa. I informed them of all the the work Dennis said he did, and told the owner Amir I wanted to check and redo everything if needed . 2 days later everything looks great as you can see below. The deck fits perfectly without having to cut the center console at all Amir breaks it down to me that Dennis did a horrible job with everything. He didn't even secure my amp below my seat. Work was garbage period. The bill for the work to be redone was $456.60. They took the time to walk me through everything. Now armed with complete knowledge, I reached out to Dennis as you can see from the pics included. All I wanted was for them to reimburse me the $456.60 and money for the center piece. As you can see from the reply, they were caught. There's no owner ship or anything. They ripped me off over $880. Shouldn't that tell you something? For an amount that small what else have they done? I have a feeling these guys used my Supra to practice on, Who knows right? If $880 is worth severing a long good relationship, you have to ask yourself what else is possible? If you're a current customer or prospective customer I hope you read this and think twice about trusting Dennis and RNZ with your car. I blindly trusted them, didn't do my research and paid for it. It's people like this that ruin it for everyone else and makes the world a shittier place. Silver lining, is that I get to share my experience with you.

No more clunking sound
nam v.

After installing coil overs on my 2018 civic . The car right off the bat made a weird clunking sound that I couldn't figure out . So I took it to Dennis at Rnz to check it out and have the car aligned. It took him all day to figure it out but he was able to fix it ! He also aligned the car and adjusted my suspension. Car now handles and ride super smooth with no clunking sound . Great customer service !Dennis even did a follow up call on me the next day to make sure I was happy with the car . Thanks again RNZ. Glad I took it to you guys to fix my car !

Exhaust work by RNZ

Been here twice to get my car worked on. First time was to have a custom exhaust fabricated for my car. I brought in a resonator and muffler, and asked them if they could make a custom single exit for my Accord. Dennis and his crew did an awesome job with that, and was done pretty quickly. My second time was to get a downpipe installed. Brought my car in in the morning, and it was done mid-afternoon. Once again, they got the job done, and for a very reasonable price. Overall, I would highly recommend this place if you are looking to get any work done to your car!

I brought in my Honda Ridgeline for an issue with my AC. Jason worked with me at the front-desk and went above and beyond to understand my issue and the troubleshooting I had already done. He explained to me CONCISELY what the feasible issue may be, and how they were going to approach a diagnosis. Jason was extremely knowledgeable, and followed up promptly to discuss the fix. Pedro was also exceptional. He found the issue (rodent-chewed wires) and repaired it perfectly. When I picked up my car, he was as excited as I was to have helped me. Before Miramar Auto, I took my truck to the Honda dealer, and they charged twice as much for a diagnosis, only to tell me that I would need a new compressor (incorrect diagnosis) and that it would cost twice as much as I ended up paying out the door at Miramar auto. I couldn't believe how easy Miramar Auto made it. To say that Jason, Pedro, and Miramar Auto are honest, fair, and made me feel taken care of... would be an understatement. They have rightfully earned another lifelong customer. Thank you Miramar Auto!

Wife and I communicated to Miramar Auto Repair first thing Monday to help us do the calibration. Plans changed so we rescheduled for Tuesday. That reschedule got us a different sales representative. He thought we needed a simple brake flush. This miscommunication lead to a 1-hour appointment with a $200+ bill for a service I already did to the car and the original problem wasn't solved. After some problem-solving and listening to the recorded phone call, we found where the miscommunication was. There's nothing better than a shop who listens to their customers, understands exactly what they need, and executes. Miramar Auto Repair did exactly that once we talked it out and removed the charge for the flush. I was out in 10 minutes after the calibration and am very happy with the end result. Thank you! I have found my trusted shop now.

Higher viscosity leads to higher pressures which lead to seals leaking and failing. I'm really surprised you haven't researched this. How about the leaking oil filter a day after install? Seems like a sure way to get more money outta a customer once their engine gets starved of oil. How about the sloppy work with oil left all over my car? Lack of care and integrity. How about the scratches from resting my tires on the paint of my car? Lazy and inconsiderate. Pulled from the article that copied and pasted "Engine Design Changes: Newer Toyota engines are designed with tighter tolerances and specific lubrication needs that necessitate these thinner oils, such as OW-16 or OW-8." Select German Car Service - A Hidden Gem for Porsche Owners…read more Tired of the endless wait times and lack of transparency at local Porsche dealerships, I decided to explore other options for a simple oil change. I took a chance and posted a project on Yelp, hoping to find a shop that could treat my car with the respect it deserves. After reviewing responses and chatting with a few contenders, I landed on Select German Car Service--and I'm so glad I did. From the moment I arrived, I knew I'd made the right choice. Max, the owner, greeted me warmly, and the technician, Mel was clearly someone who understood the value of a well-loved Porsche. The shop itself was immaculate--organized, professional, and filled with stunning Porsches of every model, color, and vintage. It felt more like a showroom than a garage. What truly impressed me was the care and attention to detail. The technician covered my seats, opened doors and the hood with precision, and handled my car like it was his own. That level of respect is rare--and deeply appreciated. While my car was being serviced, I took a scenic 1.5-mile walk to Better Buzz Coffee for a little exercise and a fantastic cup of coffee. By the time I returned, my Porsche was parked, gleaming, and ready to hit the road. She looked just as gorgeous as when I dropped her off--and purred like a dream on the freeway. No upselling. No drama. Just honest, professional service at a fair price. I'll absolutely be returning for future work on my other German vehicle. Huge thanks to Max and the team at Select German Car Service--you've earned a loyal customer.
