Ivan came with a firm knowledge of what needed to be done and executed flawlessly even when there were hidden bumps along the way... IE: HUGE roots we weren't aware of under the surface. Ivan didn't waver from his estimate, worked hard, kept a positive attitude and gave me a backyard dreamier than I could have imagined! He kept me updated along the way and put all my fears to rest. It's known that you don't usually go with your lowest estimate because they say you get what you pay for, BUT this was a chance I was so happy to take as I got superior quality at the lowest price. Any mess that was made along the way was also cleaned up without having to be asked. I would 100% use Ivan and his crew again and again for future work!

It just about looks like where the concrete is going to eventually crack? It's been a couple months now but maybe it takes longer for that to go away? The patio roof is fine on the straight part, other than the sections are not even - couldn't put the skylight where we wanted because it wasn't 24 inches wide so the skylight wouldn't fit there. all of their crew did not know how to properly fit the 90 degree angle side to the straight side. one side of the angle was not attached properly, but the other side was done correctly. Looks like one of their guys knew what he was doing and how to use the connecting metal brackets but the guy on working the other side of the beam did not. Even though that section will eventually be covered up/closed off with a ceiling it looks unprofessional. Also, on the front facing side of the roof there was a board that stood up in the inside corner that would not allow the roof flashing to lay flat in the inside corner that would hinder the water flow that would be draining to the gutters that we had to fix.

They also removed and replaced our front deck and extended our rear deck, repaired our roof from leaks and repaired all the custom woodwork and drywall inside the home from water damage. It was a large job because we have a 3 story home over 5000SF. They had to get a crane with a bucket to do most of the work because the house is too tall for scaffolding or ladders. Review of work: In our area of Coastal Oregon the climate is very wet and the wind is really strong. The house was built in 2006 but the previous builder did not do a good job of weatherproofing the house for this region. When it rained we would get water inside the house on the south facing side of the home. I got a few quotes and Halvorson-Mason was priced very good compared to their competitors. I also got recommended to them by our realtor. Chris and Brian of Halvorson-Mason were great to work with. They gave us a price and kept their word about what they would do to complete the job. They are very professional and down to earth guys. I couldn't ask for better craftsmanship. Their team are top notch guys and very reliable and trustworthy. We purchased this house last year knowing we had to get it fixed and thanks to Halvorson-Mason the house looks new again. I would definitely recommend these guys to friends and will use them again in the near future. (I am already in talks with Chris about installing an elevator in the house) I don't think there isn't anything they can't do when it comes to custom homes.
