We started the process with some great conversations about what was on our Wish List vs. Must Have List. Barbosa Carpentry was booked for months, but it would take that long to source and receive everything for the project. We were going to hire a designer through one of the many kitchen stores in the area. We spent months visiting different showrooms and talking to designers, investigating what we liked and didn't like in other kitchens. When the time came, Udo suggested we save some money and let him be our designer. Again, another great decision. We took our time sourcing certain floors, quartz countertops, cabinet hardware and appliances. All the while, Udo Barbosa brought us multiple designs and talked through our likes/dislikes. It was a pleasant experience and Udo made sure that we stayed on budget. Once we signed the contract, Udo handled the Permits, ordering, deliveries, electrical, plumbing and demolition. He planned accordingly so that once the cabinets arrived, he would get started. Thoughtful planning and time management kept the project on time and within budget. Udo and his professional partner, Teddy, came daily for a month and handled everything with ease and professionalism. When there were surprises (like a vent pipe in the way), as is expected in any full gut, they worked through the issues together and came up with solid solutions. Udo listened to my questions along the way, and always explained any decisions he was making and why. The most surprising thing about our kitchen reno is that Udo made sure we had a working fridge, sink, and oven throughout the entire reno. I have never heard of being able to continue to use these vital instruments during a renovation. Udo kept our house tidy, accessible and safe (for us and our dog) during the process. We highly recommend Barbosa Carpentry.

Chris was able to come in on relatively short notice, and get to work. It is not just the promptness that led to our satisfaction, and being able to work with us on a time crunch (although this alone would have been wonderful!), but the quality of the work. Our new kitchen looks truly amazing. He did not just install everything, but went above and beyond to make sure it was done perfect. He did all walls, cabinet install, floors, finish work, and more. Even the counter installers (a different company) commented at how great his work was, with everything perfectly level so they didnt have to do any addition work. The quality was amazing, the price was great, and the work was done quick, and without issue. He got all the proper building permits, had all the correct inspections, and did everything by the book. I cannot recommend him enough to anyone looking for work done. We have an amazing kitchen to enjoy now - all thanks to him!

Other companies I'd met with were more like high-pressure sales pitches with little substance. Their prices were good, and on the lower side of what I had been quoted elsewhere. Their employees were knowledgable and efficient. The whole process took about two days, and boy did they work hard! The crew showed up at 7:00am and worked until 7:00pm the first day. My only criticism is that the crew showed up at 6:30 am the second day, before I even got out of bed -- and it was a bit jarring to wake up to people walking around on my roof. But that being said, the whole process was efficient and transparent, and I will DEFINITELY use them again next time I need a new roof!

We needed lots of advice never having had a metal roof before. Wayne was very knowledgeable. The crew came every day for about 10 days and worked 0730 until 7 at night to get it all done. All work was very professional, and the roofing panels were custom cut on sight. After completion, we discovered a small piece of trim had not been replaced as ordered. The boss, Wayne, came back and inspected it. His crew then came back and replaced that trim to our satisfaction. Not many roofers would have come back!
