The patio is along the back of my house and there are 2 doors going into the house from the patio, one slider and one hinged door. The new patio looks good enough but the whole thing is too high relative to the house, the top of the pavers are the same height as the top of the door saddle. I can not install a storm door because it will hit a floor mat. I had asked Manuel to make the patio about an inch below the door saddles during the estimate and again before the pavers were installed, he agreed but didn't do it. It's discouraging, the patio looks nice but it's the wrong height. Now I face the dilemma of living with it or having another contractor rip it out and install it at the right height.

I hired Walter, as he told me he plowed for his brother (on my street) and a few other families in the neighborhood. Therefore, he said, he would always be available to help with my snow removal. I had found it difficult to find another snow removal service during Covid, so I hired him. Fast forward to today January 7 2022, first significant snow of the season. I had phoned Walter on 1/5/22 to ensure he was coming to plow and shovel. "No worry, I'll be there." Snow stopped at 8 a.m. I waited until 2 p.m. No Walter. I phoned his cell and his "office" (really his home, and spoke with his nice wife). I received the following Text msg at 2:33 pm: "You can call another person i am not available to go this time im not filling good I not want to go to your place like that I'm so sorry." All spelling errors are Walter's. WHAT? He didn't even have the bravery to phone me back. I don't believe his msg. for one moment. His wife never mentioned he was ill. And if he had been ill, he should have contacted me early this morning to make alternative arrangements (as if I could in the middle of a snow storm). Stephanie once accused me of not paying for a month of service that I had indeed paid for. And after paying every prior invoice this company had ever sent me I received a text from Stephanie at 7:30am saying that if I don't pay them, they will send me to collections. I immediately looked into it, and the invoice in question was only 13 days overdue. I had not received one friendly personal reminder from them. I called her and asked that an owner call me back and she assured me someone would. I have texted several times since asking for a return call and nobody will respond to me. My husband had to go outside and ask your workers to do better weed trimming, as they were leaving weeds in the yard that looked sloppy. I also contacted Stephanie with complaints on two separate occasions- after my initial seeding, and as soon as you came to mow my lawn after seeding the second time. I have texted, emailed, and reached out on social media and you are all actively avoiding responding to me. I'll definitely be spreading the word about my experience with NK.
