Everyone had a mask on which is great considering the current event. My inspector spoke very clear, and concise, went over everything thoroughly. He gave me a list of what I should expect, what he's looking for, how he grades, and concluded again by going over everything. I would definitely recommend RJ Inspections to friends and family. RJ Inspections was referred to me by someone local to the area. I filled out a request online and was called almost immediately by someone in the office. They were able to get an inspector out 2 days later! I received an email with instructions, explanation, a document to sign, and a link to pay. The cost was the same as the last time I bought a home 10 years ago so that was a pleasant surprise. Eric was early to arrive and already into the inspection process by the time we arrived. He greeted us and explained his process. He then walked us around the outside to share his opinions and findings before heading inside. We let him do his thing inside and then he brought us through to explain more. Thankfully the house is in great shape so there wasn't a whole lot for him to be concerned about. We found Eric to be extremely knowledgeable and cared about ensuring we had a thorough understanding of information. He also left us his card and said to reach out if we had any questions after the fact. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing an inspection. read more

He was patient and detail oriented and happy to answer a lot of questions :) He was also very prompt with the report and gave a comprehensive picture of each element that needed inspecting, helpful for my husband especially who could not attend the actual inspect. read more

I just bought a house and RJ inspections was very responsive! I was able to get an inspection the next day and Fred was nice and thorough, he walked around the house by himself and once he reviewed everything he would fill us in on what he found. He explained everything so my partner and I understood everything that needed to be done on the house. We left the inspection very confident in what our next steps were and overall this was a great experience! read more

My wife and I are first time home buyers but not a first time home owners. I received my home through inheritance. I thought I knew something about home inspection, but boy was I wrong. First of all, the home we were going to purchase is located far outside of RJ Inspections' operative zone. I am indebted to them and to Mark for traveling such a distance. Mark started immediately inspecting this 2880 square foot home. He was incredibly thorough explaining the issues as he went along and there were lots of issues. Mark continued to work as my wife and I couldn't keep up. When Mark found items that were safety related he would come get us and show us the serious safety issue. We understood as he had lots of items to inspect. He documented all issues with photos. After 3 hours and 50 minutes near 5:00 P.M., Mark had all the information he needed to write the report. He easily had a 2 hour drive home yet I received a 73 page report at 1:38 A.M. this morning. I was astounded with all that Mark found. He easily found at least $150K in repairs. There were so many items in the listing for the property that were listed as features or upgrades but Mark illustrated that many of them were only partially operational or incorrectly completed. In closing, you may think the RJ Inspections is pricey but balance that against how much money you will spend repairing unknown to you flaws. We have since cancelled our puchase of this home based on the serious flaws found by Mark. We are sad, as the home is unique but we assumed the house was complete. Don't make the mistake of not getting a home inspection. Use RJ Inspections and the job will be done thoroughly and to your amazement. read more

Great service and extremely thorough. We are very pleased with them and their services. They exceed our expectations. Highly recommend!

Worked with RJ inspections to do radon testing and inspect an older home. The inspectors were thorough, professional, and were able to get us on the schedule on short notice. Both inspectors had multiple years of experience. Super happy that I was able to work with them, and will definitely be recommending them and using them again in the future. read more

RJ Inspections was able to schedule an inspection of an old house for just 5 days after we put an offer on it. I definitely recommend working with them as a first-time home buyer. They gave us great peace of mind about purchasing a 100+ year old home! Eric was great to work with throughout the inspection process. He arrived before the appointment and had already finished his inspection of the exterior before the scheduled appointment time. He was thorough and patient, walked me through everything, explained all the systems in the house, identified current issues and how to get them repaired, and told us warning signs to look out for as the house continues to age and settle. The report we received was speedy and incredibly detailed with photos of everything. read more

He arrived 30min early, talked me through every aspect of the inspection, and provided me with a very organized and detailed readout that was easy to integrate into the final P&S of the property I was buying. 10/10 would recommend this company for home inspections and try to get Fred as your inspector! read more

They were professional, found alot of things wrong, were accurate in what needed to repair

He was on time and seemed to do a good job. The furnace wasn't on when he was inspecting so he said he "couldn't inspect it" but the builder was there as well as 2 real estate agents and didn't ask anyone to turn it on. He just said he couldn't do it. Despite this I was pretty happy. It was a Saturday and they still processed my payment and got the report out that same day. The lower rating is mostly because they sold my email address to ADT after the inspection so I now receive emails from them. That pissed me offf. read more

I had a great experience from start to finish with RJ Inspections. I loved being able to book an appointment online and getting verbal confirmation the next day (on a weekend, no less.) They do radon and pest testing, and I had all the results and report the same day as our inspection. Mark was great - he went over everything with me in person, and gave me tips on what to look for and what I should expect as a homeowner (like how to set the line on the sight glass on the boiler). So grateful he took the time to explain things like that, and answered any questions I had. Cannot recommend these folks enough! read more

RJ Inspections did a wonderful job recently with our home inspection. Graham was personable, timely, and a great teacher in the ways of home care, which is one of the most important aspects of a home inspection. He, and the whole team from RJ, took their time to ensure everything was done correctly from information intake to the actual inspection and we couldn't be happier with the results. Graham also let us hang behind him for the entire inspection and welcomed questions, explained issues, and also took the time to explain how things are going to look on the report. The report we received was a well documented computer PDF with photos, arrows to issues, highlighted problems, and so much more. Thank you RJ for making a very trying and emotional part of our lives so much easier! read more

I had a home inspection done by Adam at RJ Inspections and it was excellent! They said it would take anywhere from 2 to 3 hours to go through, and even though the inspector took his time and was thorough, answering all of my questions, photographing everything, we were done in an hour and a half! He arrived a little earlier than I did, and by the time I got there he had already begun looking at the outside of the house, so when I arrived he caught me up to speed quickly. Being a first time home buyer, I wasn't 100% familiar with a lot of the systems running the house (plumbing, HVAC, etc.) but he took the time to show me the different components and filters for each piece and explain what I'd need to know and what to call a licensed tech to do for me if I ever had problems. I'm not actually in the house yet, so I can't say for sure if he missed anything, but for a first time home inspection experience, and not knowing what to expect, he was very friendly and made everything seem a lot clearer during and after the process. Would definitely recommend, and use again! read more
