As a student I'm used to being ripped off or belittled but Gemini drivers are always professional, fair and friendly. The phone calls are quick and simple with the operator always chirpy and helpful no matter what time I ring up (sometimes 4am - I couldn't be that happy working at 4am!). Often the journeys I take are with many people so require many stops, but unlike other taxi firms the drivers never seem annoyed and know the area so well that it doesn't present a problem. If I'm travelling alone I still feel safe, which as a young female is rare. What most impressed me, however, is that when we hired a few of their taxis to take us to the station for a night out, the driver insisted very politely that we all put our seatbelts on before he moved off. I found that unbelievably safe and assuring.

Very recently I went on a golf trip to Turkey and shared the taxi to Terminal 2 with a friend who lives close by. We both had golf travel bags and small suitcases. The outward trip was excellent at 4 am...large vehicle and very pleasant driver. Despite having booked the return trip a week later (at the same time I booked the outward trip well in advance the driver (who had only worked for Imperial for one week) was in completely the wrong place to collect us. It took 30 mins for him to find us and when he did we realised he had a very old saloon car (which stank of cigarette smoke) and we only managed to get all our gear in with great difficulty. Somehow we ended up paying twice for the car park and his car struggled up the M4 to get us home. Not the driver's fault at all I'm sure and he was as helpful as he could be but had obviously not received any correct instructions from his Boss who I phoned the next day. I had to cut short the call and said I would ring back. I tried three times and he never answered the call! Sadly I will not be using this company again!!

I usually take great delight in sounding off at great length about various venues/service…read moreproviders, even at the risk of boring my poor fellow citizens. ;-) However this is but the brief and sad tale of a service provider who I was pleased to use but have been forced to abandon as their service has plunged to becoming unacceptable. Despite having spent a lot with them over the past couple of years (airport runs, a lot of hospital runs) I decided to move on because missing/being late for hospital appointments is NOT ON (especially when it means that I have to wait for half a day! They would not be too happy if I billed them for that). The proprietor must learn to stop bullshitting people. If the car is going to be another 20 mins then he should not say 4 mins
