I used Charlies for 5 years to pick me up at Heathrow. Each time the driver was late and we had to…read morewait between 10 and 30 minutes for arrival. This year there was no driver for 30 minutes, and after 50 minutes i finally found him after shouting out loud and repeated contact with control. He was without any name sign to indicate who he was and said he had been waiting 2 hours, became confrontational and then refused to take me and my two young girls. Another company stepped in and found a car for us in 10 minutes.

As I do not drive I chose Ritz Cars when my husband was in the JR hospital in Oxford for a good few weeks. On return I used a nationwide taxi App and they only charged £5.18, arrived within 5 minutes and was polite and curtious. The meeting point in the short stay car park was seconds away from T5 Arrivals and easily located. (Seems to be a common meeting point, I noticed it was being used by a few companies and was a lot easier than meeting in the terminal where there are usually loads of drivers to navigate through to find your own driver). We had two drop off points but driver had the information already programmed into his SatNav. Very courteous and helpful. Everything went perfectly. Have used other companies and had bad experiences so was wary about using a taxi service again but received excellent service and will definitely use Riviera again and recommend to others.
