Steve was excellent to work with and he did an excellent job refinishing our furniture making it look better than show room. He has the experience to properly remove the exisiting finish, repair defects and then match the stain and apply the varnish with the perfect sheen. He completed our project in a very timely fashion for a fair price. It was good to be able to speak with Steve personally when I brought in the furniture. He also showed me through his shop and other jobs he was working on. Bottom line, you will have a expert working on your furniture. His many years of experience shows in the work he completes. I would highly recommend Harvest Moon Furniture Refinishing without hesitation. I am planning on bringing more furniture pieces for refinishing in the near future. We used them to paint the interior of our home years ago and they did a great job, so we hired them…read moreto paint the interior again + also to stain and Verathane the trim of our new windows. Much to our dismay, the workmanship this time was extremely shoddy and unprofessional: 1) We told them that the Verathane needed to be matte; however, they used gloss. We told them they had to redo them using matte; however, they used semi-gloss. Only when we told them a 3rd time did they finally use matte. 2) There are numerous obvious Verathane drips on the majority of the windows. Meaning: we have to sand, restain, and Verathane the MAJORITY of our new windows. 3) We could see that they obviously used a brush on the holes they filled AFTER rolling the walls, versus the correct way: BEFORE rolling the walls. 4) We could see that they obviously cut in AFTER rolling the walls, versus the correct way: BEFORE rolling the walls. 5) We pointed out 2 walls that needed repainted because we could see obvious roller marks. Rather than do the entire wall, we could see that they only repainted over the area with the roller marks; leaving obvious start and stop lines on the walls. Given all of the aforementioned problems we have to repaint ALL the walls they painted. The decision to hire them for this job was a costly $4,000 mistake. We have notified and dissuaded our family and friends from hiring this company, and we will never do business with them again.

As a custom home builder, we understand that delays can happen. What is much harder to understand…read moreis the complete lack of communication that we have experienced with Forge 53. We placed a substantial deposit for custom office doors and a shower enclosure approximately 10 months ago. After repeated emails and phone calls from both myself and our project manager went unanswered for weeks, we were forced to advise Forge 53 that the delays were impacting our clients' possession date. On May 14, we finally received a response apologizing for the "radio silence," citing staffing changes and a backlog of custom projects. At that time, we were advised that fabrication would be completed by May 18/19, with installation anticipated as early as the week of May 25. Those dates have long since passed. Since then, multiple additional attempts to obtain an update have gone unanswered. We still do not have the products we ordered, a confirmed installation date, or any indication of when this matter will be resolved.

I've brought several dining room chairs into Royal Furniture Refinishing over the past 4 or so…read moreyears. The first was teak about 4 years ago, and more recently, a standard chair from a dining set made in China. Coincidentally, both chairs were broken at the same location (just above the seat on the back). Both repairs were spectacular. The teak was perfect (and it needed to be as the repaired section was open to full view). The chair made in China had a break which was covered by fabric. During the repair process the fabric covering the break had to be removed. Brian had made photos of the break (with the fabric removed as well the repair process to show how it was resolved). The time to repair for both was as promised and the cost was as promised. I highly recommend Royal Furniture Refinishing!
