Where does adventure begin? How many years I have been away,…read morethis was a temporary stop along the way too! For me adventure has taken me to Arizona. This was "home," for a minute. It's been too long since I came home! Why come home if even for a brief moment? It's life changing moments in my sisters life! It's a bouncy baby boy, he's three months old, my sister needs help; here I stand beside her repaying the favor she extended me when I was in need. My relocating to Arizona was not smooth, it was utter chaos. My sister "needed help." In trying to locate a place to live for my family; the family here became the hope to make the move possible. Many conversations took place between the office staff and myself, what ease they gave me knowing that "home," was all taken care of. In the end going home at night is why you do it. Not knowing what to expect from our new domicile, I committed to the eight month lease. All the images of the apartment were virtual too. A picture of something is all we had, a tour over the phone. They made this transition from Vegas to Surprise, AZ less weird. It was more than we could of ever expected. On the phone you can tell a lot about an individuals character; the office staff here went above and beyond for me. I'm sure for other families looking for some type of "home" they make it excellent too. We all need a home; even if it's for a short time. In my time here in Surprise, at the height of COVID this was my "new home," for a brief moment. The process could not of been easier. Actually all the paper work and correspondence was done with low ease. The use of technology these days made it genuinely great to fill out the paper work and cope with paying and setting up the actual apartment. Thank you to the wonderful staff for all the work they did on my behalf. Location is everything! This apartment complex is walking distance to a Starbucks literally across the road. Many smaller businesses are close too! Make sure and try such great places for coffee and cupcakes as Sweet Tea. Escape with a park across the way, so close I'm sure you and the puppy need a walk. If hope is what you seek; a beautiful church is next door. Take a stroll around your complex in the early morning for your needed exercise for the day. A gym and pool are located on site too. What more could you ask for? You come on over and see for yourself. The staff here is amazing. To be fair, the only consistently positive aspect of this community was the maintenance team. Whenever service requests were submitted, they were generally responsive and professional. When we first moved in (July 2025), everything seemed well-managed and in good condition. However, shortly after, things began to change. During the short time I lived there (July through January), management changed three times. That level of turnover created disorganization, confusion, and a lack of accountability. Communication became inconsistent, and new restrictions started being implemented. For example, the clubhouse hours were changed, restricting access from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM. I regularly needed to use the desk/work area for office work during late hours and was no longer able to do so. Additional restrictions were also imposed on the pool area. On one occasion, when my family came to visit, their children were denied access to the pool because we were told we could only have two guests. I have always followed community rules, so situations like that were frustrating and embarrassing as a resident hosting family. We constantly received emails reminding residents to leave trash in designated areas--even though we consistently complied. At the same time, the trash collection setup requires residents to leave trash in the hallways for pickup, which frequently caused strong food and garbage odors in the corridors. The smell could be overwhelming at times. There were also frequent strong marijuana odors in patios and common areas, which impacted our ability to comfortably enjoy the property. On two separate occasions, I personally witnessed individuals sitting in their vehicles appearing to be passed out or intoxicated, with their engines running. Both times, the vehicles remained in that condition for several hours (approximately up to five hours). Observing situations like that raised safety concerns for my family. We also experienced a serious safety issue at the pool area when my wife cut herself on broken glass near/around the pool. In my opinion, common areas--especially around a pool--should be monitored and maintained more carefully. One of the most frustrating operational issues was access to the gate. I was never provided the visors needed to open it, despite requesting them multiple times. My requests were ignored. Ironically, it was not until the first day I submitted my 60-day notice that I was suddenly told the visors had arrived. The washing machine issue in our unit was another serious problem. Washers machines in all the complex were broken almost at the same time for weeks. Regarding the lease termination, the only reason I was able to exit the lease was because my realtor covered the buyout amount of 8000.00 dlls on my behalf. While others may have different experiences, based on what my family and I experienced, I would not recommend this property. In my opinion, it did not provide the level of safety.

The weeds are taller than my kids now, and she has complained 6 times, yet they have only weeded her backyard twice. She is so embarrassed to have company over. Walking around the complex, we are not the only ones who have overgrown weed problems. The rest of the place is so clean, it's weird. They say they changed landscaping companies, and it's a miscommunication. A 5-month miscommunication seems unlikely to me. Also, sometimes the trash doesn't get picked up, and it smells pretty bad in this heat. Other than that, they have fixed her dryer vent fast.
