They charged me $25 for a "posting fee" Wasn't sure what that meant so I called & emailed the office & got no responseI wouldn't recommend no one to sign a lease here‼‼‼‼ If I could give zero stars I would.

Vandalism, Harassment, Incompetence…read more Do not rent here if you value your safety, security, and personal property. In May 2023, someone began vandalizing my brand new car. I would walk out to liquid splashed all over my car, scratches all over, fist-sized rocks behind the giant HOLE in my grille, and the radiator bent. I notified the office every time something happened and nothing was ever done. This continued almost monthly. I finally contacted IDM management and they installed a camera out front. After one month, the camera was removed to "review footage" but it was never replaced and the vandalism began again. When I called to request the camera be replaced, they informed me that the camera was in a different area to monitor for residents not picking up after pets. After more complaining and more incidents, the camera was eventually replaced however the vandal continued to throw drinks and chunky liquids onto my car. The office said the camera didn't catch anything. The camera was never replaced and they made no effort to catch who was doing it, even though everyone knew it was the resident who lived on the floor below me. He would pound on the ceiling any time I pulled a chair out or if I didn't tiptoe around. He even opened his door as I walked by and stared me down in a threatening way. But the office couldn't do anything "without proof." I paid rent just like everyone else. However I was punished both emotionally and financially just for living at this complex. Mia, the assistant manager, was the only person who seemed to be empathetic and understanding. Alexis took over as property manager towards the end and at first she was helpful. However, when it kept happening and I kept complaining, she made it seem like I was just bothering her. She said "there's no proof and no one has seen anything, so what do you want me to do." I dreaded walking out to my car because I knew it would keep happening. I took the long way down the stairs to avoid walking in front of his door. If I did walk in front of his door I always had to record it on my phone just in case something happened. I didn't feel safe. Finally, after 2 years of this, I decided I needed to spend the money I didn't have just to get away. This property went down hill quickly. Residents don't follow property rules. It constantly smells of weed, the pool is frequently closed due to misuse. There are much nicer, newer, safer complexes in the area. Do yourself a favor and don't rent here.

My experience at Maddox was deeply disappointing and, in my opinion, unsafe and inconsistent for my…read morefamily. To be fair, the only consistently positive aspect of this community was the maintenance team. Whenever service requests were submitted, they were generally responsive and professional. When we first moved in (July 2025), everything seemed well-managed and in good condition. However, shortly after, things began to change. During the short time I lived there (July through January), management changed three times. That level of turnover created disorganization, confusion, and a lack of accountability. Communication became inconsistent, and new restrictions started being implemented. For example, the clubhouse hours were changed, restricting access from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM. I regularly needed to use the desk/work area for office work during late hours and was no longer able to do so. Additional restrictions were also imposed on the pool area. On one occasion, when my family came to visit, their children were denied access to the pool because we were told we could only have two guests. I have always followed community rules, so situations like that were frustrating and embarrassing as a resident hosting family. We constantly received emails reminding residents to leave trash in designated areas--even though we consistently complied. At the same time, the trash collection setup requires residents to leave trash in the hallways for pickup, which frequently caused strong food and garbage odors in the corridors. The smell could be overwhelming at times. There were also frequent strong marijuana odors in patios and common areas, which impacted our ability to comfortably enjoy the property. On two separate occasions, I personally witnessed individuals sitting in their vehicles appearing to be passed out or intoxicated, with their engines running. Both times, the vehicles remained in that condition for several hours (approximately up to five hours). Observing situations like that raised safety concerns for my family. We also experienced a serious safety issue at the pool area when my wife cut herself on broken glass near/around the pool. In my opinion, common areas--especially around a pool--should be monitored and maintained more carefully. One of the most frustrating operational issues was access to the gate. I was never provided the visors needed to open it, despite requesting them multiple times. My requests were ignored. Ironically, it was not until the first day I submitted my 60-day notice that I was suddenly told the visors had arrived. The washing machine issue in our unit was another serious problem. Washers machines in all the complex were broken almost at the same time for weeks. Regarding the lease termination, the only reason I was able to exit the lease was because my realtor covered the buyout amount of 8000.00 dlls on my behalf. While others may have different experiences, based on what my family and I experienced, I would not recommend this property. In my opinion, it did not provide the level of safety.

It looks and feels almost real. The common area (pool) gives enough separation between the buildings and the balcony/patio overhang or sun shades to 3rd floor windows help reduce the amount of the summer direct sunlight going into the units.

I loved it when I first moved in, Lisa was absolutely amazing (and still is) and she truly deserves so much credit for the kindness and happiness she spreads among the complex. While I only met Patrick briefly- he was also very kind and helpful! The pool was open 24 hours, same with the gym- which I loved as I'm a night owl. The complex was beautiful and the apartments are sleek. I loved the valet trash as well- especially living on floor 3! Now, my experience living here after a year is a bit different. I'll touch on some pros and cons (some pros and cons will be the same but with different reasons listed). Pros: -Quiet neighborhood, very little noise except from pool area on Fri/Sat nights (I live right by the pool and closing my doors and windows usually keeps the sound out) -Close to highway, gas stations, and stores -Neighbors are usually kind, although they don't speak to you much- I've only had one neighbor treat me negatively and they've since moved out -Apartments are beautiful and well made. Not cheap. Nothings broken so far! -Lisa is still amazing ! -Very pet friendly and I'm a veterinarian assistant so I appreciate that. While I only have a cat- there's many amenities for dogs available at this complex. -Management and staff don't tend to "bother" you very much. I've had landlords that were super overbearing so this was nice. -Lots of fun things to do within the complex. Golf, dog park, ping pong, table soccer, etc. -Gated -Great prices (although I am from an extremely expensive state)- but for the quality of these apartments I feel the rent is perfect. Cons: -Police are here frequently. I'm talking once every three weeks to a month. If it's not police, it's fire trucks/EMT's (which are usually here weekly). I'm not really sure what could be going on for emergency services to be here so often. -I received a notice to evict letter (on my birthday lol), because I hadn't paid my rent 6 days into the month. They didn't end up evicting me as I paid it immediately- but it did shock me a bit. I've never paid rent late before and I thought the eviction notice was a bit much. They could have called or asked me to speak to them in the office or even said something to me in person before immediately threatening to evict me on my birthday. I didn't even realize I hadn't paid yet. -Complex smells like weed at night. As a fellow weed smoker, I get it's annoying to leave the complex to smoke, but also as someone with kids and basic respect for others- it's not that hard to walk a block or two away to smoke. -Amazon packages go missing. I've lost hundreds of dollars worth of Amazon packages that have gone missing or were delivered to the wrong locker. This isn't the fault of the complex- but it is super annoying and inconvenient. I've also had neighbors packages delivered to me on 4 different occasions- both of which lived across the entire complex. -While valet trash is nice, I often find my trash cans knocked over carelessly after they come. -Lots of trash littered around the complex. Again, this isn't the fault of the property- it's the residents job to keep their community clean. -Pool is rarely open anymore. And I don't believe it's open after hours anymore. -Gym lacks machinery and some machines have been broken a few times. The gym also has fully glass walls so everyone can see you working out. While I'm still deciding whether or not to renew my lease another year, I've overall had a good experience here. I've managed to move my friend into an apartment unit with Acero on Roosevelt as well and he seems to like it here. Most of these issues can be easily fixed, and if management and residents worked together I believe these issues would resolve quickl
