Really a 3.5 It's convenient to use to get to the different casinos and nice to walk along the river but the trash smells every ten feet changes the experience a bit. I wish the walkway had more pizazz like the river walk in San Antonio. It has potential to be so much more read more

The Riverwalk in Laughlin is super convenient for walking between most of the casinos and enjoying the river views, especially at night. Just know it doesn't connect to Harrah's, so getting there means walking out to the street and up a steep road. It's a nice nighttime stroll, but watch your step--I almost ran into a huge tarantula near the Riverside Casino . You can also hear parakeets in the palm trees by Riverside, and there are some areas where employees take smoke breaks. Overall, a scenic and easy way to get around with a few quirks. read more

It's a river. You can walk alongside it and get some fresh air outside of the casino. Nice view of it from the hotel, probably one of best attractions in Laughlin. Only a few jet skis on the river when I was there. Probably wouldn't want to stay out here too late at night. read more

I was staying at the Aquarius and going to the Riverside for dinner. Rather than drive the short distance, I strolled the riverwalk that runs along the river past most of the hotels that are located on the east side of Casino Drive. It's quite nice to stand at the railing and watch the jet skiers go by or the water taxis. The summer would not be a good time to do much walking here because of the temperatures. On my first visit to Laughlin many years ago, the official high temperature was 124 degrees. Also, since the temperatures are cooling down, the insects are back and they were quite annoying on my walk back to the Aquarius. It seems like dusk is the time they enjoy most. Going along the riverwalk in winter is the best time. You may not see many people enjoying the river, but standing and watching the river go by is a relaxing things. read more

I always ask for a room at the Pioneer to be along the river walk you can walk from casino to casino on the river walk. Lots to see years ago I would see raccoon and skunks but I haven't seen any probably because the city is slow because of the virus. Best time to walk is at dusk or dawn read more

The river walk was nice being able to walk along the casinos and the water watching the boats and jet skis go by. The only thing is. The walk way doesn't go all the way through. I was walking from Riverside casino to the Golden Nugget and got cut off at the Colorado Belle casino because they were shutdown. It was all gated. So I had to go up from there to the main road/side walk. And go from there. read more

This place is pretty nice. It's a great way to see a lot of different casinos and it's super pretty at sunset. Can't beat free. There are some restaurants along the river but I like just walking back and forth and enjoying the view. When I went there was a large current and it was fun to watch the ducks try to swim against it. We also saw some raccoons in the middle of the night climbing trees for oranges. That was wild. Don't feed them though, but they are cute to marvel from afar. I only walked along the part between Riverside and Colorado Belle but I guess it goes farther? Either way, this is definitely a nice addition and something else to do other than lose your money gambling. read more

What a beautiful walk for your fur babies. Good people there. Too much marijuana smoke!

My third time here. On Jan 14th, my bf, a couple of friends and I strolled down the beautiful Riverwalk. The walk is from one end to the other about a mile and a half or so. Research shows that it maybe 3 miles so I'm not sure. You can stop at each casino along the way. On the river walk are the Riverside, Colorado Belle, River Palms, Aquarius, Golden Nugget, Edgewater and the Pioneer. Nighttime is beautiful with the casino lights and day time you can see the river clearly with some wildlife. There are several boats tours and water taxis. If you do not feel like walking from casino to casino, you can take a shuttle boat. You can also take a shuttle boat from the Arizona side. It's a pleasant place to walk, relax and enjoy the Colorado River. read more

For the last 5 years, I have heard bizarre stories from people who have walked down the RIVERWALK after midnight. I always thought those stories were exaggerated, but then I came here in August with friends and experienced one bizarre incident after another, and even saw some guys junk from a balcony. All I can say about the RIVERWALK is that meth is one f*cking hell of a drug, and skunks are very difficult to outrun. Remember that in Laughlin you live every second of the night, and walking down the riverwalk is like the events from some 1980s dark comedy. Don't walk down this trail during August after midnight. It's skunk mating season or something. 100s of skunks come out and spray each other for no apparent reason. A giant cloud of toxic skunk juice ascends up from the beach to the Riverwalk. To make things worse, when you get to where the Aquarius is, skunks quickly jump out of the bushes and ambush the f*ck out of you. There is no f*cking way to avoid this. Though during my last trip I witnessed a very large raccoon battling a skunk and a pissed off mallard duck. I'm not kidding, this f*cking happened! Back in 2005, the Riverwalk was way different. During the summer it was overpacked with girls in bikinis. The Riverwalk was busier than Fremont Street in Downtown LV. It was the place to be back in those days. I came back in 2013, and the chicks in bikinis were gone. Riverwalk looked more like a UYE for Las Vegas yelpers, I almost puked. The worst thing is that if you run into one weirdo on the Riverwalk, you end up running into him again all night long, and several more times throughout the week. The best thing about the Riverwalk is that you won't ever run into another yelper. Nobody ever walks to the very end of the Riverwalk, but it leads you to a public park and a 6 mile trail to the dam. If your rascal scooter runs out of batteries you can push it into the river, and pay the Water Taxi guy $5.00 to bring you all the way to Harrah's Laughlin. Now that's a great deal!!! If a cop cites you for pushing your scooter into the river, just say that you are a member of one of the Native-American tribes from across the river and you were giving the scooter back to the earth. Just kidding...there are no cops on the Riverwalk. Thank you Drew and Victoria for putting on this event. read more

Las Vegas has the Strip and Fremont Street Experience. Atlantic City has its boardwalk. Laughlin has its Riverwalk. The Riverwalk is the spine of Laughlin that connects the majority of its casinos to the Colorado River. This review describes the Riverwalk as if you were strolling along it from its northernmost point at the Laughlin-Bullhead City Bridge to its southernmost point at River Palms Casino. In between it fronts seven casino resorts that will be discussed in this review. From my experience on the Riverwalk, I suggest parking at the Riverside Casino parking lot. It is the northernmost casino and the closest to Nevada Route 163 the highway serving Las Vegas and Bullhead City traffic. It is a large surface parking lot. Once you park your car, the adventure begins. To start this adventure, I recommend turning north away fron the casino to where the end of the Riverwalk ends at the sidewalk of the Laughlin-Bullhead City bridge. I'd walk on the sidewalk to the center of the bridge. The view of the Colorado River with the Laughlin skyline is a beautiful perspective of the Riverwalk adventure ahead. The Riverwalk begins in a park. This scenery is a hint of the Riverwalk Exploration Trail north of Nevada Route 163. The greenery will soon merge with the the Colorado River frontage of the Riverside. The Riverside scenery is ordinary. Its a mellow start to the adventure. There is nothing drawing you to the hotel and no celebration of the Riverwalk. Once the Riverwalk approaches the towering Aquarius, the excitement begins. As the Riverwalk climbs higher the views of the Colorado River and resorts develop pizzazz. The Riverwalk passes booths for the water taxi and Colorado River cruises. The Aquarius is a walking billboard of hotel advertisements that do a good job bringing people into the casino. The Riverwalk now runs alongside the Edgewater as it enters the heart of the Laughlin strip. It is a laidback yet exciting walkway celebrating Laughlin and the Colorado River. When the Riverwalk approaches the Colorado Belle (shaped like a boat), a flight of stairs carries it alongside an upper level of the resort and an upper level of Laughlin entertainment. There is a bandstand where numerous music acts perform. This is a nice spot to pick up a drink from the outdoor bar and listen to live music with a Colorado River backdrop. But suddenly like a Las Vegas card trick, the Riverwalk disappears. Or so it seems. The Riverwalk if you could believe it passes through the southern part of the Colorado Belle casino floor to the parking lot. Past the exit, it overlaps the edge of the parking lot through a Pioneer Hotel alley where a sign says "Riverwalk this way partna." Returning to Colorado River frontage, it takes on the western theme of Pioneer Hotel with a private beach. The hotel towers yield to western architecture. As the Riverwalk progresses through the western beachscape, Vegas Vic's neon cowboy cousin appears. This very neon cowboy is one of the three survivors. The Riverwalk soon leaves the west for the tropical as it heads toward the Laughlin Golden Nugget. It passes under a shady canopy of greenery. Under this canopy of greenery the green icon of capitalism appears: the Starbuck's sign. The Golden Nugget Starbuck's is one of two in Laughlin. The other is in Harrah's. The Riverwalk returns to the laidback excitement of the Aquarius to Colorado Belle segment. The Golden Nugget celebrates the Riverwalk with attractive landscaping and a recently opened Bubba Gump with outside tables overlooking the river. Now the excitement of the Golden Nugget decreases several amps to an idyllic walk toward River Palms. Statues that look familiar to Planet of the Apes draw in the eyes as the Riverwalk approaches the River Palms. In the distance, the straight as an arrow Colorado River running alongside the resort corridor curves. To the left, Bullhead City vistas are the views. Ahead over the bluffs stands Harrah's laughlin. As the Riverwalk travels alongside the unexciting River Palms the adventure is winding down. Just as you pass Denny's, the Riverwalk ends. There is no Happy ending. Just a sign saying "No trespassing." In a way, the adventure begins at the point where a No Tresspassing sign prohibits passage up a bluff toward Harrah's. On the walk back the adventure gets better while exploring the resort's gaming, restaurants, and entertainment. For the hiking adventurer, the continuation on the Riverwalk Exploration Trail toward Davis Dam is the ultimate sequal to the Riverwalk hike. Admission to this hike is as simple (could be frustrating) as walking through the Riverside Casino across the Casino Drive indoor pedestrian bridge to Casino West where the trailhead is to the north. Just remember you if you don't strike it rich in a Laughlin casino you strike it rich when you walk along the Laughlin Riverwalk. read more

As many times that I've been here I cannot believe I haven't reviewed this place. What can I say, except that I really love strolling along the river walk. It runs from Riverside hotel up to pass Colorado Belle, I believe. From other reviewers, it must continue farther up, but haven't made that attempt yet. The river is best walked at night, and during cool winter season. It can get pretty hot during the summer. Look out for all the kitties and raccoons along the path. Cheers! read more

Take a stroll with curious raccoons, hand-holding couples, nervous skunks, staggering drunks, noisy crickets, river taxis, water fowl, suspicious loners, quacking ducks, giant cockroaches and carb-loaded travelers shuffling slowly back to their hotel rooms after a grand buffet. Riverwalk is great for people watching. Laughlin is changing, catering to a younger crowd. Take a relaxing walk or catch a late river taxi before closing..both greats ways to unwind after a long day eating, playing and gambling. read more

Huh, well ... something I haven't seen anyone else mentioning is that most of the Riverwalk is on private casino property, and any one of them can shut it down at certain chokepoints and basically drive you into the casino / out to Casino Drive to continue on your way. Case in point, on my recent first ever trip to Laughlin, I took the bus into Bullhead City and walked across the bridge to enjoy the view ... and as soon as I got to Don Laughlin's Riverside, their little chokepoint to the rest of it was shut down for some sort of construction, forcing you up into the casino and out into the street. It also is not labeled, like, at all. Later I tried to come in from the other side at the Golden Nugget but was totally perplexed as to how the hell you enter. The first entrance I found was out the back of the Colorado Belle. Then shortly after that there's a portion that drives you confusingly through the Edgewater. It's all kind of a clusterfuck, as to be expected from anything under the control of carny-ass casinos I guess. Nice stroll if you can figure it out and the casinos don't have chunks of it shut down forcing you to massively detour. read more

Laughlin is not a place I dream of visiting, but when one wants a quick getaway with not a lot of fuss, this can be the place for you. There isn't a lot to offer that can't be found in Vegas, but one thing Laughlin boasts that Vegas does not is a river. Luckily the Riverwalk is a great way to enjoy the view and a slight breeze off the river when walking up and down the paths in the right weather. read more

I love Laughlin. My Mom and I like to come here every so often, and we always use the Riverwalk. We normally stay at the Riverside, which is the 1st (or last) hotel on the "strip." The riverwalk starts (or ends) at this hotel, so we walk it often. It's right on the Colorado River, so during the day you see everyone on their jet skis and boats, as well as the water taxis passing by. As you may have guessed, it's HOT during the summer. I would suggest carrying a bottle of water with you if you plan on walking for awhile. Luckily, during our most recent visit, the weather was perfect and it made for a nice walk. This time around, we only took it from the Riverside to the Aquarius, which is about a 10 minute walk (or less). We've not encountered any issues or seen anything bizarre. A few trips ago we saw a little family of beavers building a dam. This time we saw a raccoon just chillin'. There is a sign that says: "Although they may look cute and furry, they may be wild and woolly. Please don't approach or feed the animals." Seems like great advice. I've never been close enough to a beaver to determine if they are mean, and I don't plan on it! read more

We had a GREAT time on the Riverwalk....there are so many casino's to visit and specials everywhere. There are tons of water sport so bring your swimsuits, and go get a Jet ski! It is a really long walk so also bring shoes you are comfortable walking in, but along the way there are shops, and most importantly shade and grass to sit back, relax and enjoy the view on. read more

This is the gateway to getting from one casino to another in Laughlin, as well as taking boat ride rides or renting equipment, but my favorite part of Riverwalk is having an early morning stroll when the foot traffic is light and being able to enjoy the sunshine and sound of the river water lapping against the rocks, this goes for the late evenings as well, looking out the water and watching the boats, and the lights dancing against the water. During the busy hours its a great thoroughfare to get to the casinos. For the most part people are polite and you can avoid any traffic jams that you would on the road, of course when Laughlin is at its hottest you'll be racing to get to the next casino to beat the heat. read more

It's a walk, By the river. I don't know how you can complain, it is way better than walking the street, trust me I've done it. Colorado belle needs to stop forcing people through their casino and open up the front of the boat to allow more river walk. Edgewater has a way around but it's not the simplest route around and basically forces you through the casino anyway. read more

Man, the River Walk was one of my highlights while I was in Laughlin. I love it for the fact it connects to most of the hotels/casinos. I say most hotels as it does NOT connect to Harrahs. If you're not wanting to walk a few miles around and uphill to get to Harrahs, you will be better off getting a boat taxi over to it. Overall the River Walk is great, day or night. The advantages to the evening though is you will run across the wildlife of Laughlin, that being skunks and raccoons. read more

It was an ok river walk. We picked it up from behind the Golden nugget as we were having dinner there at the Salt Grass steak place. We walked down towards the Aquarius but we had to go up at the Colorado Belle as we didn't see anymore sidewalk. It was nothing special, actually there was litter around some spots, but it was nice to have a little stroll after dinner with my hubby. Nice to have some alone time. If you go to Laughlin you should check it out. There is not a ton of things to do in Laughlin besides gamble at the casinos unless you have a car. read more

I had a nice stroll from our hotel to the Riverside hotel to eat dinner. It was nice but it was just the heat that was getting to me. Most of the river walk is great, fun, scenic lovely view of river. However when u get towards the southern end it's torn up and you can't continue. That's why minus a few stars.. Otherwise it'd be 5 stars. At night we saw a skunk and followed him down a ways towards the Aquarius where he led us straight to a family of raccoons living under the river walk. Being animal lovers, we love watching wildlife of all types so that's always a plus. read more

All of the main casinos in Laughlin open onto a long paved path that runs along the Colorado River. You can walk from hotel to hotel and enjoy the beautiful river and mountain views along the way (although one hotel, the Colorado Belle, did not make use of the walk, so you'll have to go around it to continue on). Some of the hotels have put shops and restaurants on the walk, so you can also stop for a meal or just relax on a park bench with a snack. You can also get tickets here for river cruises and some water sport adventures. If you decide to walk the entire length and are feeling tired, you can also hitch a ride back to your hotel on a water taxi! If you walk along at night, you'll see nature too: big fish loitering near the river's edge, ducks swimming by, cats, raccoons and even skunks all foraging in harmony on the shore. For me, a non-gambler, this was one of the most relaxing and fun things I did during my trip to Laughlin. read more

It was our first Valentine's Day (2004). My boyfriend (now husband) told me that it was surprise. For the entire drive there (an hour and a half or so), I wore a sleeping mask (blindfold). Yes, and it was just as funny as you imagine it. I don't even want to think of all the strange looks we got (chuckles). I think he took me to the Arizona side, just to say we went to Arizona, plus to reveal the river boat plans. The sun was not nearly setting, but fairly close. We were taking a river sunset dinner cruise. It was pretty neat, and yes, romantic. Plus funny at the same time. We took a walk, holding hands, along the River Walk, neat, because it's different from anything in Vegas. It's neat that most of the casinos are connected. There were a few other couples taking the same cruise, but I wouldn't say it was crowded. I remember the boat was a little shaky as we were going to eat dinner, but that dinner was good (I had the fish, though my cheeks were quite puffy as I had gotten braces the second time around, on that very morning, don't even ask me why, I didn't really think about it). It was nice being on the Colorado River, with the man I loved, and made for a memorable Valentine's Day celebration. The event was organized well (boat staff) and it was nice night (not cold, but chilly enough to enjoy the warmth of a loving embrace). read more

Can hardly walk down the Riverwalk day or night without being swarmed with little moth like bugs. Absolutely disgusting.
