Amanda Talford works in the office at Riverwalk Apartments in Rock Hill, South Carolina. I am very proud to say that she is exceptionally great with her job. She takes time to understand your needs, and she make sure that you are care of with such dignity and respect. I would always like to see someone also meet her because she deserves a +5 rating. I have seen many negative things about the Riverwalk in Rock Hill, South Carolina Apartments. I have not had that experience and would like to see somebody else share something that's really good about that place Amanda. A very wonderful person to help anybody looking for just the right apartment. She deserves a lot of praise. And never given up on finding exactly what we were looking for she helped me understand some of the things I didn't understand about making a new lease and never ever said no to me. I think Riverwalk is really blessed with a wonderful worker at that place. If you need somebody that will really listen to you and help you with your interest in a place like at Riverwalk. Take time to get to know her. You won't be disappointed I promise Amanda. read more

It's a pretty quiet complex, everyone is pretty nice. The maintenance guys are the best! They work so hard on keeping the complex neat. Spacious two bedroom apartment with stained concrete flooring on first floor. Perfect for walking to LidL and so close to Riverwalk! read more

Ive tried to reach corporate multiple times about delinquent debt. We serviced the proper with paint and cleaning services. We had contact with the property manager Ashley but now she just doesn't answer messages or calls. Do not live or service this property as both phone lines are inexistent. This place is terrible. They literally stole $285 from my daughter and then when I tried to get a refund, spoke to me in a very derogatory manner. I would stay away from these people at all costs. Not only are they rude and inconsiderate, but also low IQ. One star is one too many. read more

Our initial move in was a Disaster... I highly recommend that you do not deal with the front office staff member by the name of "Ashley" she is completely unprofessional and careless of people and their families. We toured a two bedroom model unit and was advised our apartment would be identical although we couldn't view it because they were "getting it ready." We were pleased with the model unit. Come move in day, I have my whole house packed and go to pick up the keys, she did not welcome us at all to our new home, she was on the phone with her "mommy" talking on the phone and gave us zero attention while getting the things for our new home. She even forgot to assign us a garage unit and did not bother to show us the mailboxes either. So upon entry of our unit I realize that she had given me a HANDICAP unit without informing us. about it. The floors were concrete when the model was hardwood, countertops were lowered, no microwave, stove knobs were lowered where my kids could reach, no cabinets in the bathroom, hand railings in the bathrooms and there was even a mildew/mold in the laundry room on the walls, and the shower heads were dirty and the unit was just not cleaned properly along with more issues I can't think of right now. I was speechless. I immediately went to the front office to demand answers and was met with a "deer in headlights" look from Ashley. She said nothing. Did not apologize and had zero remorse or care about our family and what she did. She did not apologize or have an ounce of customer service about the situation. Her only response was "we have another unit available in a month and a half" ... I was shocked... did she really just say that while my whole house was packed in a Uhaul and my one year old and four year old children standing outside with their mother? I demanded to speak with the property manager and she said "she wont be back in until next week" so we had no other choice but to move our things in. After two weeks of waiting on the property manager and having to reach out to get the district manager involved I was informed they would not discount the unit because of market demand (which is funny because the property manager stated she even lives in a handicapped unit because she got a discounted rate to try and lighten my mood then said I couldn't get approved for any discount by corporate days later) but they would install hardwood floors (which benefits them down the road) because the concrete painted floors were peeling. They were also so kind enough to buy us a $30 microwave.... and don't let me forget, they also were respectful enough to paint over the mold on the walls of the laundry room without having it inspected to make sure it wasn't harmful. No other amenities or compensation was given so we are stuck with the handicap unit. The only reason I give a two star is because of the location and convenience. read more

They will not help you fix their issues, will not provide you with heat or a/c despite months of trying to get it. They will not clean from the previous tenant, even if it was their office manager living there. You will pay top dollar to have half of a working apartment replete with issues and you will struggle as they nickel and dome everything. Six months after you move out they will send a debt collection agency after you for fees you paid standing directly in the middle of the office, ensuring they see it and that you should be fine. You can sue, but they will never pay a judgment. They will not even show up to court. This company will make you regret ever having moved here, but all of the management is so disposable that you'll never get a resolution. Avoid this place at all possible costs. read more

The apartment seemed nice at first but when something breaks it's a pain to get it fixed. We moved in and immediately had to submit requests for our drains, cabinets, and washer. The neighbors are constantly smoking cigarettes and weed everyday. It is in riverwalks policy that smoking is prohibited but they do not enforce this policy. Our neighbors also smoke inside their apartment causing our rooms to smell like weed. Again this complex seems like a nice place to live but the longer we stay the worse things get. Not worth the amount of money per month to live here. read more

Although I did not end up moving into River Walk Apartments I did tour there and I just had to write a review about how fantastic Marquis is! He had the most vibrant personality and went over all of the ins and outs of the community. He shared cup cakes and offered us cold beverages because it was blazing hot outside! I am new to the area and have been not he apartment hunt for about a week now, Marquis gave me the utmost enjoyment during an apartment tour and I will regret not being apart of his community, as the logsiticals of not having a car just wasn't a good fit for me for this particular location. But if they were! I would have moved in a heart beat. I did not notice any decrepit construction as I see some of the reviews have stated, but once again I only did a once over. There were about 7 people in the pool when I went by and the club house looked clean and cozy. The lawns were manicured, and I didn't see anything that shouted, unmaintained about this property driving up and walking through. Seems like a nice modern property to me! Nevertheless like I said unfortunately I did not move into these properties but I did want to give a shout out to Marquis for such a wonderful tour, positive energy, patience and knowledgeableness regarding the property and surroundings. Thank you Marquis for a very memorable encounter during my short stay in South Carolina so far! Best wishes I know you'll go far! read more

I do not recommend anyone trying to get an apartment here, no one can show that they make 3x's there paycheck and to be honest I think they are racist because it's ran by black women and if you are not of color, they don't want to lease to white people. I'm so glad they are hoity toities and live on such high standards , so unless you make $9k a month and can show it, you will remain homeless. read more

My Husband and I lived here for almost 2 years. It started out fine, however, as time went on the property deteriorated QUICKLY. There was dog poop all over the property, you would step on it during a walk with your dog since it was literally everywhere. They would rarely empty the dog poop trash cans and they would reek! Once the new manager started in Nov of 2023, she was awful, and the management company Westshore is horrendous. After all of the staff quit, we were hoping this would be a wake up call to the hire ups of their bad management practices. NOPE, instead, they hired a woman who would continue their terrible practices. The siding of numerous buildings is missing and never fixed or replaced. The concrete outside walls have massive cracks. The ceilings in the breezeways are losing their coating and crumbing on the ground. Parking is an absolute nightmare at the front end of the property. People were finally getting towed for parking outside of designated parking spots but, management abruptly stopped taking care of the issue. Our AC broke 5 times in the 1.5 years there and they would not get back to us for weeks at a time! Also, if you notice, they turned off Google reviews since so many people are unhappy with their experience. Also, you smell the chemical plant literally adjacent to the apartments smells of plastic and cancer. read more

Riverwalk has been awesome to live at. Maintenance is very responsive and efficient! Ryan made the move in process as easy as could be and has provided everything needed. Great community with great people! read more

Beautiful place to live. My family and I have lived here for 14 months, and to say it's been great is an understatement. You can tell the staff care about their residents and the property itself! Amazing units they are accommodating for anyone. If you need something repaired, they are on it, they won't make you wait. The entire staff is very friendly and is willing to work with you and help when and where needed. I would recommend this community to anyone. Most people only like to leave a review when it's bad, so trust me when I say, this is where you want to live! Thanks good the amazing stay! read more

I paid the application fee to move to Riverwalk and thankfully, I did my research. The property has not been maintained, the entire staff quit two days prior to me touring the property and the interim staff were people from other properties (Charlotte, NC). While I do think the interim staff members did the best they could during the transition (from what I saw) the service and property both seemed neglected. No one was available to give a tour and the only option was a self guided tour of the model. In addition to the poor conditions of the property and customer service, the exposure of (what I assume to be residents' private information) sensitive information was shocking. There were stacks of paper with personal information lined beside the printer in plain sight. It appeared to be 5 or six sets of applications for potential residents. Seeing the mismanagement of consumer/ resident privacy was appalling and frightening. If you're a potential resident, please be thorough with your due diligence before committing to anything with Westshore Properties. read more

This is the review I left on Google that appears to have been deleted. Very frustrated with this place and the management here is the same as at Ansley Falls where you can see even more reviews for how things happen at these complexes. Our mailbox keys haven't worked since we moved in and it's been over 2 weeks and it's still not fixed. We were told that a form had been filled out on our behalf to have mail delivered to the office mailbox instead, which is fine. However, when perishables still managed to be delivered to our mailbox and well, too bad so sad. Fine, but when another package is delivered and we go to check and see if it's in the office mailbox, the girl immediately has an attitude to tell us she didn't know anything, only Kristen knows and only Kristen has the key. She attempted to gaslight us for then being upset with both her rudeness and the fact that we would expect anyone in the office to be capable of helping residents. Otherwise what's the point of having more than one worker? Kristen isn't even the property manager, so for her to have the only key is even more ridiculous. This experience is almost making me miss my last apartment where I got bitten by a venomous snake and was afraid to step outside my door. So far our experience has been very disappointing. If you expect working mailboxes, locks, to have a refrigerator, all working outlets or even just the apartment to be what you were told it would be, this is not the place for you. They'll commiserate with you, but they either can't do anything for you or "it's getting taken care of" and that takes forever. Not to mention the myriad spots where people don't pick up after their dogs, but the dog stations are either bagless or overflowing with waste. This place is making me cry from frustration. They expect luxury apartment rent, but they've given us an apartment that at this point lacks some basic requirements plus ugly walmart-esque floors. read more

It's all bad. Constant turn over in management and maintenance. Lack of professionalism. I've lived here for almost 4 years and this doesn't even seem like home anymore. They have pushed me to get out of my lease I just renewed due to the way they treat me. I'm still waiting on a call back from the management company, which I had to find on my own because the property manager still has yet to send the information over. It's taken since I moved in years ago to have the move in issues looked at and that was only to ensure I renewed my lease, which I am now being forced to break although it has yet to restart and I have another 2 weeks to send a letter to vacate. What a joke! read more

I moved in with my boyfriend and it took me weeks of calling them to finally get the lease. Before I was even on the lease, they called me saying they were going to evict us. How is that possible?? It's not, it's also illegal. In addition, when I call them for a work order they take weeks to fix it. I could go on forever about how they announce they are going to do inspections or other warnings so I lock my dog up all day and then they don't. Basically there is poor management and poor communication. It Is expensive and the only perk is that it is close by the river. read more

As a former resident for about 4 years, I am underwhelmed by my overall experience and displeased with my departure here. My lease ended and I also paid my expensive month-to- month fee on time and without issue while I bought a house and had some updates done to my new home. Also note, I had no pets and no children. After nearly a month after moving I called the leasing office to ask about my deposit and was told they deducted about $350 for a cleaning fee & to fill in a wall where pictures were hung. I was told by the staff, management should have provided me an itemized list of these things but I never received it. Apparently management was not available but I was promised I would get a call back/ explanation by the next day. It's been a week and I have had no correspondence from management. I also have no itemized list of these made up fees. I also still don't have a deposit. Unprofessional! Thank God I took pictures and video that are dated to reflect I left my place clean and in excellent condition because these are unethical practices. I was always on time with my rent (not ever a day late) I'd like the same courtesy & respect in return with my money. read more

Bullet fired through out wall by a guy in another building. We we're petrified. The police came. The management action and help for my family was appalling. The lease is not being renewed. They were slow to Repair holes in walls . It was a 45 caliber bullet . It could have killed one of us. We are now being asked to leave and the lease is not being renewed. We lived in our other home for 7 years without incident. We were the victims . We are now victims again. read more
