This is an absolute no for me. They completely took advantage of the client before me. The person had to leave without the medication becuase she was told a certain amount and they charged her four times as much. I am going to report this veterinarian on his behalf. This person should not be practicing medicine or taking care of animals. Complete sham business. The office staff was also talking behind the clients back saying terrible things. Completely uncalled for. Avoid this place. The staff is just horrible. read more

I travelled over 4 hours to this clinic to have my doberman puppies ears cropped. The veterinarian did a wonderful crop and his ears look incredible. I showed the vet photos of ear styles I liked and he gave me exactly what I was looking for. My only complaints are that when I first arrived and was filling out my new client forms, the young man helping me was not very friendly and quite dismissive. Additionally, I paid my bill with CareCredit but the special financing was not applied as it should have been, which is quite frustrating because I would have just used a different card if I had known they weren't going to honor the special financing agreement. read more

Entire staff was super friendly. It's a busy animal clinic, but the staff will do the best they can to try and accommodate you and your pet. The veterinarian made sure to answer any questions that I had and gave clear instructions of how to care for my pet's wound after leaving the clinic. I LOVED the veterinarian. Im not sure if she is new I don't think I've seen her before but she's a younger gal with blonde hair. My dog does not like the vet at all and she completely warmed up to her. I was told that she has fear free training...10/10 recommend. Im so picky with vets and I just absolutely loved her. My family has been taking all of our pets here for at least 20 years. We have always been treated very well -- their staff has gone above and beyond what they need to do for my disabled mom. It is always awful losing pets or watching them suffer, so those experiences are never going to be good memories. But I am satisfied that Riverview handled those situations well and that they did everything they could, as opposed to the vets I have gone to in other cities, who all charged much more for a lot less. I feel like we have been very lucky to have them all these years. read more

I would also put zero stars if I could. I'll start with the one thing I appreciated about the clinic - the staff is very nice. I understand that the vet clinics in the LC Valley are overwhelmed with clients and Riverview is no exception. My two cats and I saw Dr. Thueson and Dr. Summers interchangeably. However, I expect much more from a veterinarian than being told, "Your cats are weird. I'll google it and call you." And then they'd never call. I was frequently promised follow up calls after inconclusive office visits and the veterinarians never called me with more information or returned my calls. I called and asked them to send a prescription for one of my cats when we were out of state. It took them two days and three calls until I was able to get the prescription my cat needs to take twice a day filled. I moved and am thrilled to not have to deal with this clinic anymore, but even when I called to ask them to forward the medical records to my new vet, I had to call more than once. Also, I love their office cats, but they both clearly had upper respiratory infections for the duration of the seven months we went to this clinic. Not a great look for a vet when the feline greeters have goo actively leaking from their noses and sneeze constantly. read more

Dr Bill Jr goes above and beyond for his patients. My dog had 4 puppies prematurely and had lots of health issues. Dr Bill walked me through all of the care instructions and was very patient with all of my frantic questions. He even drove in when he was on call (he lives about 30 min out of town) to meet me when one of the pups wasn't doing well. My family has been going to Riverview since the mid 80's. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for care for the furry family members. read more

If I could put 0 stars, I would. We recently moved to the area. Our bulldog had surgery to remove her enlarged and everted laryngeal saccuals with our previous vet. A few weeks later her symptoms returned. We asked Riverview to scope the area as we were concerned about scar tissue build up. They ended up scoping her only to her palate (so not viewing where we asked them to). I confirmed with the paperwork and the vet tech when I dropped her off what was to be scoped. We found out after the scope was done that it was performed by Dr. Summers who we had NEVER met or consulted with nor were we aware she was doing it. She examined her palate and not the airway like we had asked. It was clear she didn't review the paperwork I filled out nor her chart. I was also suppose to get a call while they were in there and did not. We were charged and later refunded after complaining. Dr. Meyers told us after the fact this was out of their league which is why they only evaluated the palate. They should've been transparent and let us know rather than put her through an unnecessary sedation. We ended up taking her to WSU two weeks after this and found out she had a mass closing off most of her airway. They told us our other bulldog needed patella surgery. After our experience, we canceled the surgery and took her to WSU. The WSU team examined her and said her patella was perfect. I do NOT recommend Riverview and will not be back. read more
