But a marker is placed by the people because they lost one of their own Jim Midden in late December 2003. And guess what being gone all those years, you had no idea. You called out for your friend, that connection even in death all those years ago. Jim answered, "here I died all those years ago and you returned to remember. " How powerful! This area the local community swimming hole. A little piece of heaven that you can gather and go. No judgement! All fun! Come and play! Or remember and enjoy life one day as it comes. But overall, the Park District folks do a good job of keeping it cleaned up, mowed, and the roads graded. Really wish people who use the park would be more conscientious about throwing their trash IN the receptacles (not on the ground next to them). Two downfalls to this park: Park District is inconsistent with opening the gates in the AM. It's a bummer to drive to the park expecting the gates to be open at first light, only to find them randomly closed. Second: other reviewer is right about the creepy men cruising for sex (hence why we go early AM). Would be nice if the Park District PD would have more presence to discourage the hummer shoppers

The homemade pizza is very good, the appetizers are always a hit, and the patty melt is especially good. Every time we walk in, everyone is so friendly. If you sit at the bar, people around you will usually greet you and say hello. Even when you sit down at the gaming machines, everyone is friendly and often cheering each other on to win, which really adds to the sense of community. We also use the pool, and the kids absolutely love it in the summer. The Sunday Fundays are always a great time--they usually have a band out by the pool and tiki bar, plus a food window so you don't have to go inside to order. I highly recommend this place for friendship, a place to hang out, enjoying the pool, or just spending money knowing it's going to a good cause.

Even though it's an almost 2 hour drive for us, it's very much worth it. The entire staff is very kind & welcoming. Super friendly to chat with too. The puzzles were fun & engaging and just the right level of difficult to make it fun but not too easy (2 adults, 2 pre-teens) Also love that many pieces were 3D printed. We are avid 3D printers so it was fun to see all the different things that were in there. Also, I cant forget to mention our game master, Julia, she was SO awesome, very friendly & helpful. If you're in the area for any reason I highly recommend stopping in for a fun game.

The friendly, knowledgeable Game Master who greeted us in the lobby also provided hints when it was apparent we were struggling and didn't know what to do. The hints were great because they still made us think and work together to answer the clue and move along through the game. The hour experience was so much fun. We can't wait to try another awesome room at Amazing Xscapes! These escape room are great for at least 2 people, but better with 6 or more. Young and old all have a way of thinking it through to solve the clues. Good for couples, double dates, families, teens, young adults.
