The waitress started off by telling us all of the menu items that were not available - no chicken, no coquille, no onion soup, etc. 3 of us ordered steaks. Mine came with smashed potatoes and green beans and they were stone cold. The steak (filet) was nearly raw and was actually cold to touch. So was my daughter's. The waitress took our plates back and the whole plate was heated in a microwave. It was all tasteless and awful!!! My daughter's boyfriend had a New York strip steak that was ok and my daughter had crab cakes that were mediocre, but for a $500 meal, it was disgusting. - Two women came to the restaurant and the hostess was heard telling them that it would be a 40 minute wait because they were short of staff. There were actually more staff than there were customers. Before we left, we were the only ones there. It just seemed like they were anxious to close the restaurant. Extremely disappointing.

They not only have bar type food, they have great pizza and appetizers as well. They also have "real" food-good quality dinners like in a fine dining restaurant. It's not often that one restaurant is good at both. These guys are! Our server was outstanding! In keeping with the flexible and varied menu, I was in a hoodie and ball cap but felt completely comfortable even though the decor was leaning a little upscale. They cover a lot of territory and do it exceptionally well. Can't wait for another trip to Cabela's/Char House!

The owner and manager met with me the very next day to discuss what happened. Rather than remove me from a hostile situation, the solution was to put us on different shifts, which didn't feel like an appropriate response to the repeated slurs and threats. So, I left. The co-worker was later fired but rehired weeks later, which I did not understand. I was also told another employee later left because of the same co-worker's rude and disrespectful behavior, though they weren't subjected to racial slurs. Other co-workers also reported her rude and disrespectful behavior to the owner and management, but, based on my experience, those concerns were not appropriately addressed. Based on my experience, I do not believe these concerns were handled appropriately, and I can't recommend working at or supporting that location.

I grew up on Wally's pizza in Cambridge and my eldest son's first solid food was their pizza crust…read more I am a die hard fan. I recently moved and have been trying to find a place that resembles what I grew up with. With that said, this is NOT it. I don't even think they try to serve good pizza. I've given them about 4 tries and only because I wanted it to be good. I needed it to be good. This location has served me reheated hard, dried out "pizza". Pizza that I've had leftovers for breakfast and lunch at the Cambridge location and it never tasted as bad as what I have received from this location, supposedly fresh. You really need to do better. The price you charge for pizza and you're reheating it trying to save money and that just cost you a would be loyal customer. I tried to chalk it up to being 4 pieces and not a 1/2 tray, but you guys don't even try to make a good half tray. The dough can't be fresh. If it was it definitely wouldn't be this terrible. I know Wally's pizza. I've been eating it since 1978. I'm so disappointed, but I think I've given enough chances. I won't be recommending this to anyone I know. We wasted an entire 1/2 tray tonight minus the piece we each tried to eat.

Although it's attached to a gas station, it's not connected inside. It's a separate business. There isn't much to the place. But the menu board was cute and the service was fast and friendly. That, plus the fact that the other reviews make it clear the locals like it, warranted the 2nd star. How was the pizza? What are the words I'm looking for ... um ... not good. I've heard about Ohio Valley-style pizza and I think that's what this is. The crust had a nice crispness to it and the sauce wasn't too sweet (which is a common feature of pizza in other parts of Ohio). But the cheese was provolone, not mozzarella. And after they cooked it, they put more raw shredded provolone on top! That seems to be their thing - fresh cheese and toppings on top of the cooked pizza. And the pizza was terribly salty. I've had better frozen pizza from the supermarket, and if the cheese doesn't melt, I cook it longer. I should have known not to expect better pizza after living in Ohio for a couple decades. This is so close to the state line that I guess I forgot I was still in Ohio! The sign on the door says they're closed Sundays. I wish that had been true today!

Wheeling seemed to be somewhere in the vicinity of our drive to Morgantown tomorrow so I decided to stay the night. Looking for a place for dinner, I stumbled upon this place on Yelp in wheeling. Little did I know what an iconic place this is. We arrived at 5:15 on a Wednesday evening bc we are getting old. A couple leaving at 5:15 made us see our future. We were fortunately seated immediately. The inside is SO CUTE. I can't get enough of it. It felt like such an authentic Italian experience. Our server was incredible. So nice, personable, helpful. We started with our beverage orders. I went with a little something off their cocktail menu the elderflower martini which, exactly as I expected, was way more like spiked juice than a "martini" but I wouldn't want it any other way. Don't think I wasn't intrigued by the fried cheese but we have been eating a fair amount of that lately so instead of offering an app, I opted for an entree (stuffed rigatoni) and a side of broccoli. GF ordered fettuccine with red clam sauce. She got a house salad and I didn't for some reason. The broccoli was seasoned wonderfully but the texture wasn't as crisp as I would have liked. The rigatoni and the house sauce was ORGASMIC. That sauce is incredible I would gladly buy it by the jar. The rigatoni were al dente pillows of creamy ricotta heaven. Spectacular. GF regarding her red clam sauce pasta, "delicious". We also ordered the tiramisu to go so stay tuned on that.

We arrived and thought maybe we are a little underdressed for this place. So we asked for outside seating. There was a couple with a kiddo out there it was quiet and not as cold as inside. Very nice. Drinks? Asked the waitress "do you have sweet and is it good!?" "Oh yes!" She replied. Me and my grandson agreed on sweetea. She brought it out and it was quite weak and had an odd taste. Yuh, they don't have filtered water. So it's WV chlorinated. We ordered an appetizer and it came quickly. 2 Ribeyes medium and medium rare. And a cod filet. The cod came out 45 min before the steaks. We kept being told by the waitress and owner I'm guessing "just a few more minutes!" An hour after sitting down maybe longer two well don't steaks were sat infront of hubby and grandson. Absolutely not! We were going to suck it up but it wasn't cheap. So the guy said he'd take and replace the steaks. 30 ish min later the steaks came out still overdone. They gave us no discounts brought out an entire other full serving of food. Over 2 1/2 hours total. We were going to serve the overcooked meet to our dogs and they wouldn't even eat the meat or the bone. Apparently this place is popular with the locals but our experience was extremely poor.
