Within just a few minutes he was able to tell me what was wrong with my Boat ( which was good news). Instead of trying to up charge me and pad the bill he gave me a fair and fairly low bill to fix my boat. He didn't string things out either. He said he could be back in 1 or 2 days with the parts needed. His hourly labor rate is a bit below the regional average. I will sing my praises of him to anyone needed a striaght up guy who does good work.

I'm closing on a house, my wife is pregnant, and I've got a lot going on. I had a few concerns, but even with all that, I still wanted the boat. I came back the next day, excited, and asked if they were ready to sell me one. An older gentleman "lol" asked me to sit down. We ended up talking for about an hour and a half, not just about the boat, but about life. He clearly had my best interest in mind. I told him what was going on in my world, and as a retired 1SGT, he gave me honest advice. He said the boat was worth the money, but also helped me see that timing and priorities matter more. I didn't leave with a boat this time, but I left with a clearer perspective. Tailwater Marine doesn't just sell good boats , they give solid advice and genuinely care about their customers. Customer service is non-existent. Bookkeeping??? I believe his name is Goober. We dropped off our mower and chainsaw during the last week of September and were told 7-10 days. After 14 days, my husband called and was told they hadn't had time to work on either yet because they were just so busy. The entire month of October went by with Andy's having our mower and our chainsaw, and it wasn't fixed until 6 November. That's not only NOT done in a timely manner at all, it was extremely dishonest business practice to tell a customer that they could expect it to be. I'll never recommend them to anyone, and I hope if you read this you'll be wise and find somewhere else to fix whatever is broken. They charge a lot of money to make you very frustrated.
