This is as close to Vegas as you will get in Pittsburgh. It's a very clean, well maintained and vibrant casino with everything you'd expect. There's even a Starbucks and many food options in addition to the alcohol at the bars. I really love you restaurant called, FLIPT with their burgers and shakes. Free garage parking, what's not to love, give it a shot!

My review is for the banquet area as my brother's wedding was held here on August 16, 2025 The entire wedding experience was phenomenal at the Rivers. Clark was awesome to work with in the coordinating. The food was fantastic for wedding food. We started out with a crab cake (which several guests thought it was the main course. Salads with a lemon pepper dressing were next brought out. The main course was a filet. It was almost as good as a fancy steakhouse filet. I know that there are a variety of people (some Rivers employees, some not) that work to make a wedding work, but everything and everyone came together to make it a perfect day.

We have been having a good time here and have joined in on some of the smoking since my last post LMAO a drunk cig hits sometimes. When I'm sober here I still hate the smoke. A fun spot. We spend a lot of money here and occasionally we hit for something. It's a big casino with tons of games. Some of the employees are really lovely and we have met some really wonderful people here in passing. I have a really fun time playing all the different games here and enjoying the wine and other drinks I do think the food options are still limited and there could be more done with the food. Also, better bands for the live music at the Drum room/Drum bar. Sometimes the singing gives me a headache- sounds like someone belting a song in the shower

We attended for a conference that occurred in the upstairs portion. I do not gamble so my review excludes that experience. I also hate the exposure to all of the smoking personally. However that all aside, the security guards checking people in and that are throughout the casino were impeccable. They were friendly helpful and thorough. The facility the event took place in upstairs was clean and open. The food was so good and constantly flowing!

A few friends and I were in town for a Penguins game and decided to hit the casino afterwards. Parking was super easy as we parked on one of the upper levels and were literally within ten cars of the entrance. The casino has a nice modern look, colorful carpets, and lots of slot machines and table games. I'm a non-smoker and the casino wasn't overly smokey but there are also non-smoking areas areas. I lost on the slots and won at the Pai Gow table so it was a fun evening of entertainment. All of the dealers and bartenders were great.

Ask the Community - Rivers Casino

Do the Rivers Casino still have those various restaurants upstairs & do you have to be a special club member?

Yes excellent restaurants and and now they have a hotel. No membership required.

Is there a dress code at cube in the rivers casino?

No people wear nursing scrubs and game jerseys

Is there a specific dress code? UPDATE: After visiting, it's a casual attire atmosphere.

Yes. The dress code is 'Wear Something'. Lol. Just teasing. You'll see everything from shorts & flip flops (Yes- even in winter!) to suits & dresses. They don't care- they just want your $...

How are the payouts ? Do the machines give decent bonuses.

The casino also has restaurants, bars, horse-racing, and other events. For about 11 years, my husband and I have been occasional customers of this casino. We like how the floor is split into smoking and non-smoking sections. We gamble relatively small amounts of money, and in both of our visits in the past year, we came out slightly ahead in our gambling on the slot machines. Our cashier paid us promptly and courteously. In October 2025, this casino had The Tipsy Cauldron Pop-up Pub, which had Halloween and Harry Potter themes. The bar was not busy when my husband and I arrived, but we waited several minutes for an employee to take our order. We skipped ordering foods, but we really liked our two drinks, the Spellbound Cider (rum, apple cider, cranberry, cinnamon, etc.) and the Rotten Pumpkin (vodka, coconut rum, mango, triple sec, and orange). I wish, though, that the cups were as fun as the ones shown online--a witch's hand and a cauldron.

I was immediately blown away with the foyer! At check in, there is fruit infused water to quench your thirst. Make sure you keep your room key in hand because you will need it to operate the elevator (once in, hold it against the black box until light turns green and quickly select your floor). The hallways were incredible! And still had their old charm! I even picked up the old fashioned telephone and it rings the front desk! You can use it shall you need something ... if for some reason you cannot enter your room, just pick up the black phone in the hallway and they will come to you (this didn't happen to me, but just a tip if it does). I stayed in room 1470 and absolutely love my view of the gothic architecture of the Union Trust. I looked out my window a million times! The size of my room was huge! I could have done cartwheels all over the place! The WiFi is complimentary for guests. There's cable TV. Maybe other options too but I didn't have my tv on much to know. The water pressure deserves its own special shout out! Holy moly it was heaven! And the brand of washes they had was nice! Usually the conditioner isn't good enough in hotels for my hair but this was just fine! And there's a good blow dryer on the back of the door (I still used my own because I have a lot of hair and it's long BUT had I forgotten it, their hair dryer would have been just fine at 1875 watts. There's a tag on your door that you can hang if you'd like to skip housekeeping for a day and the hotel will donate a meal for doing so .. check out the tag for more info! There's also cards you can put on your bed if you want your bedding changed. I was never bothered in my room by housekeeping. I was never bothered by noise. I never experienced a phony phantom call to my room. (All things I've experienced at other places). You will get a free drink at checkout you can get a beer at the tap room or a coffee at Mellon Square (on site). It is not good for the speakeasy ... and yes, it's a real speakeasy that existed in the 1920s you could access thru tunnels under the city! So cool! On checkout day, the event I attended was going to start early and finish after checkout time. Since I was up late the night before, the front desk said I was welcome to bring my bags down now for bellhop to hold, but they also put me for a late checkout at 1pm so I could come down late the next day too. So partway thru the event just before 1pm I brought down my bags and they held them for the next 90 mins I was there. I parked across the street at the Mellon square parking garage ... Apple GPS marks the garage in the wrong place FYI ... it marks it about a block away but it is directly across the street from the hotel, with the entrance to it being on the cross street. I paid $44 to park there from Thursday around 5pm to Sunday around 3pm. Not bad. They do have valet parking at the hotel too but that is $55 per day I believe. Leaving was sad. I would have liked more time to enjoy this place. I would love to come back sometime! I have nothing bad to say about this place. Wonderful staff and incredible hotel! Thank you for this amazing stay!

The Landings Hotel…read more Recently checked into the Landings Hotel (& Casino) near Pitt's stadium prior to our granddaughter's graduation ceremony. We booked a three night stay in an upgraded room - arrived on Friday and left Monday morning. The room had a great view of the Monongahela River, in Pittsburgh, PA, but no microwave and a tiny refrigerator that kind of worked. Their free breakfast offered excellent coffee, juices, fruits, bacon, potatoes, cereal, and a variety of toast & bagels - but the folded egg-flips with cheese were cold - so I tried to warm mine up by covering it with a hot toasted bagel - it didn't help. With no breakfast menu, we were stuck with what was offered. Many other chains we've visited have microwaves, more extensive and hotter breakfast items at lower prices. The casino is equipped with a ton of slots and a variety of the usual dealer-style card, roulette & crap tables, but I didn't notice many winning bells going off while I was playing. Day 2: Breakfast Egg&Cheese Flip/over were replaced with Scrambled Eggs slightly warmer, but the toast and bagels were missing - something about those only being available for a wedding? Seems pretty petty as there are one of the cheapest items. That night we ate at their Steak House, plenty of great wine & beverages. Each of us was served 1 slice of bread w/ ample butter. The steamed were great. Asked for 1/2 the usual amount of Linguine, but received the full amount. Pasta dishes seemed starchy - not rinsed. My Clams (listed as, Steve's Favorite) were excellent and abundant. Monday Morning. Egg&Cheese flip-overs (still cold - even after placing the plate atop the toaster-oven while waiting for my English Muffins to be toasted- Thank the gods the toast, bagels, and muffins were back. Over all, the stay was enjoyable, best meals (Chinese & Subway) were ordered with DoorDash at lower prices and tastier offerings than the casino sandwich shop offered. If you are traveling to Pittsburgh to watch a sporting event, graduation, of football draft the Landing Hotel is convenient, but now you have an idea of what to expect. I'm giving the Landing Hotel a "B-" and the Casino a "C" for far too few winning bells - thanks for reading this Steve.

We were able to check in early thanks to Ed at the front desk, which made up for our poor valet/baggage experience. Upon arriving in our suite, there was no toilet paper, a hair scrunchee on the carpet and hairs on the wall in the bathroom. Housekeeping failed to quality control to ensure the room was throughly clean and no items were left behind from the previous guests. Additionally, the air conditioner seemed too loud when it would kick in. Not sure if the water pressure is regulated but the shower pressure could have been better. The bed and pillows were great and the layout of our suite was perfect. Front desk staff ( Ed & Mary) were attentive and provided great customer service. For the breakfast buffet, I'd like to see some healthier options like diced fruit ,better eggs without cheese and more cooked. Despite the price hike due to the NFL Draft the convenience to and from the venue was great. I would definitely stay here again for concerts and NFL games.
